Uninstalling Oracle 11 g RAC from a Windows Server 2008 Server
Try to uninstall Oracle 11 g RAC from a Windows Server 2008.Following the instructions: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e25666/rem_orcl.htm
I was able to run the batch: C:\app\oracle\product > 11.2.0\dbhome_1\deinstall\deinstall.bat
Last messages spoke uninstall successfully.
However, I had problems trying to delete the folder directory. According
Oracle forums, on Windows there are known problems this generic
"svchost.exe" process blocks some Oracle DLLs at startup time. To solve
the question that I followed the instructions:
(1) rename %ORACLE_HOME%\bin to something else 2) reboot the machine 3) now remove the complete file
Then I went to the registry and delete the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oracle
Restart the machine.
Problem is that Oracle Services still exists on Windows Services (services.msc). So I see it again:
-Oracle Service object
-OracleASMService + ASM1
-OracleJobSchedulerINTER1
-OracleOHService
-OracleOraCrs11g_home1TNSListener
-OracleOraCrs11g_home1TNSListenerLISTENER_SCAN1
-OracleServiceINTER1
These services link to executable files are deleted as:
C:\app\11.2.0\grid\BIN\TNSLSNR
because directory folder has been deleted.
What should I do to remove these Windows services?
Hello
You can try the following command to remove services in windows server 2008
Since the prompt command (run as administrator)
Prompt > sc delete "service name".
In this case, your command would look like
Prompt > sc delete "Oracle Service object.
Let me know if it helps
See you soon,.

Hi Srini,
The problem is resolved. Thanks for your reply.
The question is, is Windows server 2003 32-bit, and I try to install database 11g 64 bit. I tried to install database 11g 32-bit. Before that, I erased the traces of the virtual machine in my host system and reinstalled and tried. It worked.
Thank you

We have Oracle database 10.2.0.1 server is installed on Windows 2003 R2. We plan to move 10.2.0.1 using RAC installation on new hardware (if any) on Windows 2008 R2. All I can find metalink is-
"Oracle database release EVERYTHING yet not been certified with Windows 2008 R2"
I wanted to know if I'm right about that. Your help is appreciated. THX.That is right. No Oracle software is currently certified on Windows 2008 R2. And there will be only a 10 gr 2 to the client version (10.2.0.5 Server version), first support will be 11 GR 2.

Oracle 10.1.0.4 on Windows Server 2008 64 bit Standard
Hello
For purposes of migratiion, we would need to install Oracle 10.1.4.0 on a Windows Server 2008 64 bit Standard and then update to 11 g.
We forced installation Oracle 10.2.0.4 on a Windows Server 2008 64-bit Standard, but we are not safe for 10.1.0.4.
Given that we do not have this version of the software to try it and we are looking for it, is it possible to install Oracle 10.1.4.0 on a Windows Server 2008 64 bit Standard?
Could you point me to a document referring to Oracle versions compatibility with Windows Server 2008?
Thank youAt MOS, click the Certificates tab, and then enter the database in the first menu drop-down and select the RDBMS. Then enter the relevant information in other blocks, and then you will see the database Oracle 10.1.0.4.0 is not certified for Microsoft Windows x 64 (64-bit) 2008 R2
Certification is a little stricter than the support, but extended support ended in January. REMINDER: First Support for Oracle Database 10.1 ends January 2009 [761713.1 ID]
There is always a lifetime support, but your case shows how useful that can be.

Anyone know where to find the requirements? I need so I can prepare the documentation available to migrate our database servers.
Thank youHello
they can be found in the installation guide: [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e10843/reqs.htm#i1011417] requirements Oracle under Windows.

Hello
If we have the license microsoft windows server 2012 and I want to install Windows server 2008.
Is this possible?
Thank you
This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)
If you give us a link to the new thread we can point to some resources it -
How do we uninstall tools Packer creative cloud from a Windows XP PC?
The uninstall opton doesn't seem to be available from the appwiz.cpl. And I also check the folder where links CC Manager installed, no link for uninstall.
Can anyone shed some light on the question, please?
Thank you
Bob
Hi delphine,.
Thanks for your reply. I guess I can just copy the file to another PC to run CC Packager, if necessary, I'm good?
Kind regards

What to do in order to install the Oracle 11.2.0.3 software? How many directories is 'C:\tmpOracle\oracle\ '? PL look at the many previous threads that discuss this issue - problem occurs because unzip instructions have not been followed

Download a file from the window based on UNIX via OFA?
Everyone knows to create a page of the OPS for bed a window depending on the file and written for UNIX? (similar to FTP, but using an OAF like interface page)
I'm new to OAF and want to know if this is even possible.
If you've done this before, please share your experience and where will start?
We intend to have a single-page OAF with a field to read and choose a file in the windows directory. Then, a button "forward" the file to the destination under UNIX.
Thanks in advance!are try you file read it on your local computer and then upload it to application Oracle applications server, if yes, then for this problem, see Blog of Mukul you get a complete code, from your code just need to call the method, passing the appropriate parameter.
If you try to read the file from another windows server and then download pps Oracle server you must write a class in Java to do this.
Kind regards

Windows SBS 2008 - user is unable to RDP in even through that it's in the appropriate groups
Hi guys,.
Problem: A user has been accidentally deleted from a Windows SBS 2008 server running Active Directory and we have been unable to grant him the rights of RDP - the error message indicates that the account must be granted "logon through Terminal Services right.
The installer: A single Windows SBS 2008 server running hyper-VM with a unique virtual machine on it which manages the TS licenses
Tried to bugs/more information:
Things that we tried to do to solve the problem (all done via Active Directory users and computers)
- He added to the administrators and remote desktop users groups
- He added to the users group to the remote desktop on the virtual machine (the account can now connect to the virtual machine at least)
- Cloned an existing account on the primary server
- Removed and added the account through the SBS console and added to the admin and RDP groups (on the dedicated server and virtual machine)
None of them seems to have solved the problem. There are currently 2 free licenses of TS, so I don't think it's a licensing issue.
It's almost as if there is a top group policy setting or similar which replaces the user groups is added to, but I don't know where to look for here.
I've already made sure that the user do not have TS access turned off in the settings of the user's
Any suggestions?
