New Ipod Touch does not illuminate
Buy IPod Touch last summer (August 2015) and died this morning. Can not activate it or it will load. Any suggestions?
Try the following steps:
- Press and hold the home and power buttons at the same time for at least 15 seconds until you see the Apple Logo.
- If this does not work, load your iPod for at least 10 minutes, or until the Apple logo appears.

iPod Touch does not have 6th gen.
So my 6th generation iPod Touch decided to completely brick itself. It is quite insensitive, appearing by all measures to be extinct. It does not have to be plugged into a charger or computer. I tested with several threads to make sure that's not the problem. All the buttons do nothing, no matter how long they are kept pressed. I seem unable to force it to turn it on (or stop, if it's just particularly good at playing dead) and can't seem to do anything but keep papers.
I did not anything out of the ordinary to cause damage, so I don't see why it would be brick suddenly like that. I am running the latest iOS with the updates so far. As far as I can tell, it's just death. Everyone knows a similar problem or have any ideas on how to fix it?
I'll try to get to an Apple store this week, but I guess they'll just replace. This isn't really a solution to the problem here. The problem is... it's the second time that this happens. When I bought my 6th Gen, he bricked within 72 hours. It is a common thing with the Gen 6 iPods or am I cursed? I really do not have to replace my iPod every 3 months.

The Apple Store is a good idea. You have restored iPod from a backup of the previous iPod? See if any of these articles get the operation of the iPod. All new iPod shuffle does not connect to the Macbook.
I just bought an iPod shuffle 4th generation. The end of the USB cable provided that plugs into the iPod seems loose, and it does not connect to my Mac. The iPod is defective or have I missed something?

I'm extremely frustrated that I can't get my ipod touch to show up in itunes12. I've updated the itunes software on my PC. I have to update the software on the ipod touch. I tried 4 cables different (all Apple) and rebooted several times. Out of my mind. I use the ipod for work all the time and can not transfer of important music to the ipod!
Try the following:
- Open Control Panel > Device Manager
- Plug in your device
- Locate Universal Serial Bus Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver.
It is also possible that the device may appear under imaging devices, portable devices or other devices or as a device USB of MTB. - Right-click and select software update of the driver...
- Click Browse my computer for driver software
- Go to C:\Program Files\Common Apple Mobile Device Support\Drivers or
C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers - Click on let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer
- Click on Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
- Click Next, then close and exit the Device Manager

wanted m6 ultrabook touch does not illuminate
I'm a tactile m6 which gives me problems that I can't solve. It's been great until recently. I used my phone last nite when suddenly he died but I didn't know that the battery shoukd have been dead. his act as if the bat is empty and in reconnecting it turn right on orange led by the power supply. When I press the power button flashes for a second, but the screen does nothing and it does not in fact. I use my phone to try to find a solution atm which is very frustrating. Adding to the stress is the fact that I have school work projects and a draft medium-term do I have to finish.
Almost forgot to mention he started doing some other weird things last week as the touch screen goes nuts record ghost key constantly until I hibernate/fence/stop it.Ok thank you. I was hoping that there might be some little thing I have no encpuntered had not yet but he was afraid that it's really just a hardware problem and you must call in. I'll try to do today if possible

New Ipod Touch (6th generation). Right out of the box and as expected, another update Super bricks my new Ipod Touch. My question is HOW? And before you ask, YES everything has been updated to the latest version (itunes, Java, QuickTime, IE, Windows and other applications you can think of). I purposely keep a copy of an older version of Itunes on an old laptop running because this is the only version that will recognize my Ipod when happen (both latest and Itunes). Given zero has no effect.
When say you that the device is brick what is on the screen today? It does not force a reset? Try If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch does not illuminate, If iTunes does not your iPad, iPhone or iPod , or If you cannot update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

iPod touch 5th generation does not illuminate.
I got this iPod since the end of 2013. The home button has stopped working for a period of one month. Last night my battery was sufficient to last for several more hours, my iPod worked perfectly well. Then when I go to check this morning, it does not work. Not at all. When I tried to look it up on the way to solve the problem on Apple support, someone explained how try restarting it through the power and the "home" button. However, even once my home button does not work. I tried holding down the power button, then pressed on and even once tried to plug it into the charger to the wall, he still won't turn. Another user said try to connect to Itunes to see if I can restore it, ultimately, it failed for the fact that Itunes does not recognize it. I could really use some help.
