  I finished installing Windows Ultimate edition after purchase through the ultimate steal. Throughout the installation process, the product key worked, but now whenever I try to open any program (Office, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.). I am asked to enter the product key, then an error message comes up saying "invalid product key".
  I'm in the EXACT SAME key that I entered during installation.

  How to validate that my computer is now fully encrypted after you have downloaded the Windows Ultimate software that is supposed to contain encryption?

  Ok.  Do you simply 'download' the DVD of Windows 7 Ultimate, or have you actually installed Windows 7 Ultimate?  Even if you have it installed, as I wrote above, nothing is encrypted until you take action to make it happen.  Your system is not "entirely encrypted" (all what you mean by that) simply by installing Windows 7 Ultimate.  You must take concrete steps to encrypt your data.

  Is that what you want to do?

  Are you referring to BitLocker, which encrypts the entire drive, or to the Encrypting File System (EFS), which allows you to encrypt files and folders individual?  In general, BitLocker is used in enterprise environments (this is why it is only available in Ultimate and Enterprise versions).

  And yet once again, I urge you NOT to encrypt anything until you fully understand what you are doing.  BitLocker and EFS are designed with no "back door" or other means of data recovery, if you lose or forget the encryption key.  Because there is no way to recover data that has been encrypted with a corrupted certificate or missing, it is critical that you back up the certificates and store them in a secure location. You can also specify a recovery agent. This agent can restore the data. The recovery agent certificate serves a different purpose than the certificate of the user.

  Yes, the product keys are stored in the BIOS of our days, but unfortunately, it's for Windows 8 or 8.1 only and not available in Windows 7.

  I have a new job, but wanted to keep exclusively for development.  So I discovered that RDP with multiple monitors does not work with Windows 7 Pro, only Windows 7 Ultimate/Enterprise.  I have an active subscription to CARDS that gives me at least a Windows Ultimate license.  I have RDP'd in the new workstation to perform an upgrade of Windows.  I entered the license key of CARDS, but the process completes successfully.

  So, I switched gears and decided to upgrade the old machine to Windows 7 Ultimate using the same process, but connected directly (no RDP).  It works beautifully.

  * PROBLEM * now my new machine requires activation, and it won't work with Windows 7 Pro license. In my opinion, he thinks that he himself has upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate.  How can I fix it.   Your Windows passes genuine validation? If your activation session has expired and that windows did not pass the validation, it will not show any visual effect such as background noise, themes etc. It will only show a black screen and at the bottom right of the screen you can see attention.
