  Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning.   Recently, an icon appeared on my toolbar add-on (a blue circle with a white "i" (as a denunciation I)) and it leads to this site:

  It does not do anything. The main title is PEOPLEPOINT and it seems to be a German site and I have no idea where it comes from, probably something that I downloaded, I guess.

  Anyway, this thing is in all my versions of Firefox and I want rid of it.

  I had scanned and cleaned and purged my system with Malwarebytes, SuperantiSpyware, Hijack This and same Avast and found nothing.

  However, I was made in the right direction by someone who knew that it was in fact an extension I had installed Plugin-Checker - the author wanted to of course that people visit their site!

  Today, (just before I was about to uninstall the extension), an updated version was released and the icon / link has been removed.

  Don't you hate it when people mess with your Firefox?

  You are right to be doubtful. It's a scam. Force Quit Safari then reboot by holding down the SHIFT key. If that is not clear it is then try to run MalwareBytes. Malwarebytes was developed by one of our colleagues here to ASC. He received rave reviews and is on the more proven anti-malware for Mac software.

  Well well, thanks a lot for the reply.

  Trying to get rid of this little irritating icon had dramatic results and I spent ages trying to solve the problems of yellow, then blue on the screen.

  Sets the end and went back to the original icon, don't yet have no clue how to to turn off or disable in the settings, such as manual and automatic are the only options.

  What a shame when the software writer getting carried away.

  I know what it is. Its been a while since someone has asked about it.

  Press the menu button then press settings, then press the call settings, then touch TTY mode and then turn it off. Its for the hearing impaired. That should do it.

• Unknown icon of blackBerry Smartphones? Help!

  I have a Pearl 8130. I have a new icon that appears in the upper right of the screen.  It appears only when I am in a call and during each call.  This just started 2 days ago.  I'll try to describe the icon... It is a horizontal rectangle with a white diagonal line from the upper left corner to the lower right.  Half top-right of the rectangle is black, the lower left is royal blue.  I can't find anything on this in the book, online or on CD.  Any ideas?
