  I have a BlackBerry Storm and I do not know what you the how to display status indicators. At the top, in the Middle, under the date and time, I have a 5 (this number was originally a 1, but it has now been incrementing for awhile), followed by a blue square. To inside the blue box is what looks like a tiny white f (sometimes looks like a small t with a red & white on circle to the right - there's a f, with a red circle that covers the top of the page offer of right of the letter).

  I looked in the manual online and updated road guide and do not see anything like that. I called Verizon tech support, and they have no idea what it is. Please note: this isn't an indicator of an e-mail, voicemail, SMS, etc - I know not what they are, and this isn't one of them.

  I looked everywhere for an answer to what is the indicator of status and have not yet found. I have a status indicator that bears a number 1 in front of a circle with a left down, arrowhead and a red Asterix. I'm sure it is some kind of download and 1 shall indicate 1 something. But I'll be darn if I can understand what it refers is need to download. It is not the messaging or media that I can tell. You can provide any help will be greatly appreciated

  Woo-Hoo - finally found, I went to the downloads folder and it is that the Blackberry Apps World has had an update. It is purely by selecting the program and he came to say that an update was available. Once I downloaded it, the status indicator is off.   I think that the indicator is to tell you that your listener on the device is turned on.  When you switch to the speaker (alt + $), disappears and the speaker icon appears in the upper left corner.

  I have a notifier msg that just won't go away. Tried to open applications, tried to shoot by restarting and batt,... no luck.

  It looks like a white envelope, with a logo of world bb app in the middle and a number (1) in red in the upper right corner... Never seen before.

  If anyone knows what it is, please let me know. Can send an e-mail or bbm you a screenshot if necessary.

  Open a folder of messages, press the BB Menu key, then select the display folder.  This will bring up a list of all available records, through which you can look at and see if it is hidden in one of them.

  There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD memory card

  Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.

  The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.

  Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.

  Hello

  I was hoping that someone could help me because my knowledge of technology is limited and I have no idea what that means!

  I went to check my Blackberry 9300 "BOLD" today for all messages and I got this message from weird notification on the home screen saying 'look out!' with the only option is to press ok.  The notification was not a text message any and had something to do with the blackberry.

  I pressed ok not knowing what on earth it could be, and nothing has changed!  I checked my list of tasks, my calendar, my text, my message center messages and I couldn't find anything that would cause to her!

  I have recently install two applications of London 2012 Olympic Games on my phone, so I don't know if they have something to do with the Weird message.

  Could someone help me please?  My phone has a virus of some kind?

  Your phone does not have a virus.  I don't know what could have caused this message but rest assured, you're safe in respect to have a virus.

  Uninstall your two applications would be a good start.  If you get any other notifications of suspicious nature, reinstall one of them.  If after a day or two, you see anything strange, reinstall the other.
