UnloadAndStop captivate 5 swf cannot

Hello

I have a swf flash "menu" who, with the click of a button, load in a charger a swf flash 'controller '. This swf loads in turn into a charger a swf 'captivate 5'. All published in fp10.

To release the film captivate user can click on the menu button (which is in an area of the SWF "menu" below), and I coded UnloadAndStop and StopAllSounds swf loader "controller".

Obviously, it works, everything, the charger 'discharge' and he doesn't stop the noise from the current slide in captivate, but then audio film captivate will be run again in the next slide and continue to play through the menu?

I'm pulling my hair out trying to find a solution and I was wondering if someone could help me?

Any help would be appreciated massively,

Derrin

I am trying to create a project to 8 Captivate user can navigate using the keyboard or the PlayBar. I added buttons to slides with Page Up and Page Down shortcut keys, but the keyboard commands do not work until the user gave focus to the swf file by clicking in it, is there a way for the swf file take the focus automatically when loading? Or are there keys or key combinations that will work even if the SWF is not developed?

Captivate has already an update script to throw. You can try adding the onload of body. Add the script to the head section

then add the function in the body:

  • What is the size range expected for a Captivate 8 .swf file?

I'm working on a project where our .swf around 30 MB files, which seemed reasonable compared to those that I produced for a previous customer, working also in 8 Captivate. However, the LMS say it's too much, because a 1-2 MB Flash files are considered as large.

A typical course is 40 slides, linked to a PowerPoint presentation. By compressing the images in the .pptx to 96 DPI and Captivate editing to low quality, I reduced the file size to 15 MB.

These file formats are great for Captivate?

15MB is very reasonable! I worked with much larger files. I think that your LMS people is a bit 'dated '? Especially if you have audio files, 1-2MB is almost impossible. They probably think of small animations, not interactive courses.

  • Adobe Captivate 6 swf browser compatibility

Hi I wanted to know the compatibility with browsers when I publish a SWF using Adobe Captivate 6.  It supports all browsers? Even older versions of Internet Explorer?

The question you should ask is what versions of Flash Player supports.  And the answer is: the versions of Flash Player 9 to 11.

If your browser (even a former) is able to run these versions of Flash Player, then you can be sure content Captivate SWF can work in it.

My current client is still on IE7 with Flash Player 10.3 and content Captivate works very well.

Is it possible to make an as3 swf that allows to control Captivate Slides of the course instead of TOC choice? SWF would have buttons and clips that could open a specific page that is specified inside flash code. How to write this code? Thank you.

  • SWF cannot find classes custom after edition...

    Hello world

So it's probably an easy thing, I don't know, I hope.

But when I publish my project and test it in a normal HTML tag, the swf file can find some classes, but not other reason any?

How can I make sure that all the classes to get compiled into the Swf file?

I got the main script, call the first class (CalypsoPlayer); and she finds this class find - located under the same path of class.

But CalypsoPlayer can't find the class, he needs, even if it is in the class path as well as the class.

I tested the project in Flash itself and everything works fine without any errors, so I don't know what is happening.  It's only when I test

the published SWF that it cannot find all the classes it needs.

    I thank anyones help -Stan

If your swf file is running when you test it in Flash so it should work when it is as well to other places.  All classes and the script are compiled into the swf.

When you say that "it's only when I test the published SWF that it cannot find all the classes he needs."

    When you test it?

  • don't play only in the preview of captivate project SWF files

I tried to import a file .swf product of Camtasia 6.0 in a captivate project 3.0, after doing so when I'm in any .cp with files .swf in them and I try to get an overview of the project files .swf will not play. All the files published .exe will play, as do the .swf files displayed individually simply not to Captivate. Any ideas?

I found the answer - I had upgraded to Flash 10 and it is not compatible with Captivate 3. I uninstalled Flash 10 and installed Flash 9 and now I can listen to extracts projects which have files .swf in them.

  • Captivate .swf 1 = 88 KB, Captivate 2 .swf = 211 kb

So, what gives? I had my file Captivate 1 publish a file .swf 88 KB, but when you convert the .cp Captivate 2 format file and publish again with absolutely no modification of content, the balloons up to 211 kB. I have a ton of Captivate, considerably larger than this one most files, I go to see all the ball after their release of Captivate 2?

    Help!

    Hi mark.marino,
Welcome to the community of users of Captivate!

Check your preferences to see if you have compression enabled. It is a setting available in the dialog box "Publish", as I remember.

Also (and more likely) check the quality of background image and if it is set by default to 'High', try affecting the back (down) 'Standard '. This can make a huge difference in the size of the file.

  • SWF cannot access network

Hello, so I do a Flash game and I got LAN connection works, but for some reason any when I upload the SWF file to a Web site and try to access it, I get a whole box of conformation "want to allow you to access the internet?", except that I can't really change its settings. It's all white and when I click it nothing happens. Here is a screenshot:7170db2f8b7108246a3729102a711700

I tried to open it on several computers, each of them get the same question. Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

You must call click_lan_multiplayer before that your group is defined.

You must be in your service netStatus defines your group when

    Event.info.code == "NetConnection.Connect.Success":

    check my class of P2P.

Mikekelley if you are facing difficulties signing then there may be a connection failure between your computer and the activation server.  Please see Sign in, activation or connection errors. • Captivate 7 Mac cannot import doc for legends

On my new install on MAC OS X 10.8.5, try to export captions fails with the following error:

Legends export failed.  Check follows them and try again

-Ensure to what Microsoft Word is installed

-On Mac 10.7 or later version, with Microsoft Word 2011, ensure that Microsoft Word and then export it again

-If you had exported the legend previously, check if the Microsoft Word document is open.  Close the document and try again

This seems to be the easiest way to get some legends in the project, (curiously using MS Word).

Word is installed and opened.  Still no love of Captivate.

    Any advice would be nice.

    -AB

A little time taken to fix it-however, after a few kind and diagnosis with Anurag at Adobe, we have identified this as a permissions problem.  I suspect it has something to do with my Mac with many versions of Adobe account and/or accumulated MS Word.

    Solution:

    1. Uninstall 7 Captivate and MS Word MAC 2011 (v.14.3.8)
    2. Download and run the cs5 Cleaner utility:

    http://helpx.adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/ cs5 cleaner tool installation - problems.html

    3. login using the root Administrator (maybe no matter what admin) and re - install both applications

    4. first of all open MS Word and Captivate, and rerun the export.

  • Captivate SWF issue 9

  • Flash increases the size of the Captivate SWF file

I have a Captivate project that I export to Flash. Flash increases the final size of the SWF file with no items or perform any other edition. For example, the Captivate published SWF is 617KO and the Flash SWF published 1 599 Ko without adding anything. In addition, the JPG settings are of the same quality in both programs.

I have to make some changes to the code AS that is beyond the capabilities of advanced Actions of Captivate.

Any ideas that I could do to stop the inflation of file size?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Tom

Having Flash generates a report of size when you publish the swf file so that you might be able to see whence the weight.

You should post in the forum of Captivate in the case where there are people have similar experiences that can help shed some light on this.
