  There is that one correct way to unlock a phone locked to an operator, it is to get this specific operator code and enter the phone. You can enter this code when you insert a SIM card from another carrier.

  All other respects, may void the warranty of your device and has nothing to do with access root or bootloader unlocked anything.

  If you tried to put a sim card into your phone and it came with invalid SIM card, it means that your phone is locked to the carrier that you have used previously that you bought the phone and only that carrier can unlock for you.

  When you bought the phone, what carrier sim did you use to activate the phone?  If you bought the phone at Wal-Mart and it was free and not unlocked sim, then it means that the phone freezes to the first carrier sim card that you insert into the phone, which looks like your phone has made.  We need to analyze this carrier to get your phone unlocked.  Only this carrier can unlock the phone.  Nobody else can.
