Roxio takes about 190 minutes to compress my dvd for burning, is this normal?
Time to compress the video
I have a laptop Dell Inspiron N4110 Win7 professional. The laptop uses a dual-core Intel Pentium B940 / processor dual thread clocked at 2 GHz with 4 GB RAM and 200 GB of free space on the hard disk. I am recording video analog (NTSC) and stereo audio to aid Easy VHS of Roxio hardware to DVD / software package. Video is scanned in real time by the A/D converter. A 100-minute VHS video produced a mpg of 6.13 GB hard disk file. The compression process of Roxio to shrink the file to mpg of 6.13 GB less than 4.7 GB for recording on a DVD + R single takes about 190 minutes. Is it a normal time for my laptop? Are there other programs of compression that would be much faster? Would be a better laptop with an Intel quad core / 8 processor i7-2860QM thread and 8 GB of RAM to reduce the significant period of time compression, for example less than 60 minutes?
DVD-video is encoded more time-based
as the size of the file. Compression is not necessary.A video file of 100 minutes should fit on a 4.7 GB DVD.

Original title: the registry settings used by the iTunes for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can occur as a result of installing other CD burning software. reinstall iTunes
I've loaded and discharged Itunes 5 times and still get the same error message box. This error does exactly what he says, I can not burn anything in my itunes library. ITunes worked great in XP-3 no problems. It will not work on Windows 7-64. I can download and play songs from any site, but can not burn anything. And I don't have any other burning software on my CD PC
Hello PohlCat,
Given that you have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes without correcting the problem, it may be with a 3rd party product causes a problem.
I would look at the post here to see if this solution can help you. It's from a 3rd third party site, you should use at your own risk, because it has not been tested, but seemed to help others with the same error that you are experiencing.
Please reply back and let us know if this can help.
Sincerely,
Marilyn

How to burn CDs & DVDs on Satellite M60?
Could someone advise me how to burn a CD or a DVD on my laptop Satellite M60-164. I can't find any software CD/DVD burning on my PC.
Thank youHello
If you use an operating system preinstalled Toshiba then the Sonic Record Now! Basic application must be installed on the laptop.
This software is capable of burning CDs and DVDS.But maybe you want to use another application of part 3? Been to Nero?
This is a very nice program, and it allows you to burn different types of media.
For example it allows you to burn and create video or audio CDs.It s my favorite.

Satellite L30-113 - cannot burn CDs or DVDs
I have a Satellite L30-113. Recently my driver failed for my dvd player, until I was able to install a few things and burn CDs and DVDs. Now, I can't record CDs or DVDs.
Nero and CDBurnerXP for CD/DVD ROM say 'cannot continue burning process as you did not choose the device for recording. CD/DVD ROM propities shows that it does not support recording CDs and DVDs.
I uninstalled the driver and restarted my computer and it reinstalled the same as that which does not once again. I am a driver update search and xp tells me that the driver is up-to-date. I checked the Toshiba updates with none of these updates for CD/DVD ROM.
I have no idea on how to fix this unit "corrupted".Hi mate,
I had a similar problem on my Toshiba laptop. So here, I searched a little bin forum and I founded to delete upper and lower filters in the registry. I followed the instructions in this Microsoft article:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/314060After that, I again was able to burn DVDs.
In addition, updated driver from CD/DVD isn't necessary because this driver is part of the operating system.

Satellite A60 no longer burn CDs and DVDs
Hey, somebody help me.
My A60 laptop no longer burned CDs and DVDs.
There do not seem to read empty discs.
Some regular she reads, but will not start and some, it will not
not even start.Hello
Sounds like a damaged disk device.
Usual that these problems occur if the lens of the player is unable to calibrate correctly.
In my opinion it has not much to do. I don't think that the replacement of the drive will solve such a problem.
As the authorized service partner Toshiba for a reader compatible and taken in charge. -

I use a Satellite L655-12 q, model number short PSK1EE.

Thnx.On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what is wrong, but if there is problem with playback too, it may be a malfunction of the equipment. Perhaps more calibration doesn t the goal and objective cannot be placed in the right position to read/write CD.

HP 15-r218nv Notebook PC: the DVD SuperMulti burner can also burn CDs?
Hello everyone.
So, I wanted to burn songs to a CD, but it is said: insert a writable disc. I tried Digital Audio and recordable CDs, but still I'm getting the same problem. So my question is this: can the DVD SuperMulti burner also burn DVDs and CDs?
Thank you if you read this and inform me on my question. Good day!
Once again:
The solution is to replace the optical drive.
Not sure what more to say. If you don't want the hassle to send it you can buy one on eBay and replace it yourself.
After the back if you need some help with that.
