  • Export or save the settings Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center

    Hello

I use the MMKC on Win7 and I intend to upgrade to Win10.

Rather than migrate to 10 keeping the existing mess, I would like to get a new installation by reinstalling and then 7 to 10.

I don't see an option to export the settings in MMKC? I found the folder Documents\Microsoft Hardware\Macros

containing macros MHM but not the reallocation of the shortcut key.

Do I have to export the registry settings or y at - it an easier way? Thank you.

  • Can't install/uninstall Microsoft mouse and keyboard Center!

Hi, I got problem with the Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Centre because he doesn't identify my touch mouse correctly (classified as a HID-compliant device and not by its name as my Sidewinder X 4 keyboard). I uninstalled from Add/Remove Programs, and I also uninstalled the drivers for my mouse AND my keyboard (because it showed a double receiver device in device manager). I restarted my computer, but when I tried to install the drivers again in the process of installing mouse and keyboard I got an error message telling me that it was already installed. I uninstalled it again (the "ghost" of it is still listed in Add/Remove Programs) and restarted. When I tried to reinstall, I got the message again who told me that it was already installed. This is when strange things began to happen. The program was once again listed in Add/Remove Programs (this time with its icon and not only a "ghost"). I tried uninstalling and received a message telling me that the uninstall process could not be met because some the original installation files have been corrupted or missing. But now, the program has been listed in the Windows Start menu and when I double click it it started an installation process ceased to immediately resume a message that mkc.msi was missing from a temporary file to My Documents, and he could not proceed, so now I can't install or uninstall the cursed thing. I tried to restore my computer but it doesn't solve all problems. I suspect that some registry entries are not deleted properly when the first uninstall process. I don't want to mess with the registry by myself, at least not until I know what registry entries are created by and in connection with the program. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

  • iPoint.exe running despite not having a Microsoft mouse,

Hi, I'm scratching my itch OCD-like to optimize my main workstation and I discovered that I have ipoint.exe (IntelliPoint process) running. Because I currently does not have a Microsoft mouse, I don't see any reason for him to run. I am sure that I got the two Intellipoint (had a MS mouse in the past) and Intellitype installed in the past before the update to the keyboard and mouse more unified centre then perhaps the process or service is a vestige of that time. I don't want to uninstall the Center altogether due to the use of my Media keyboard but I would like to have information on why the process is running and if its is possible to disable. Thanks for your time.

He is not in 'Services' as suggested, it is in "Starting..." Uncheck the box 'Microsoft Intellipoint' and 'Ok' it. Sorted!

  • The link to support Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center appears broken

I downloaded the last Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center (version 2.7.133.0 on Windows 7 64 bit). [This now supports Excel with the ergonomic mouse Sculpt, thanks!] I noticed that there is a support link that is supposed to take you to the "Microsoft Hardware Support Page.

When I selected, it opens http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=259866 which seems to be a broken link. Is anyone else seeing this?

BTW, it should really be a more easy/obvious way to report this bug, but I couldn't find a (another using telephone support, I guess, but that seems silly). Perhaps it is the location of the broken link? :-)

  • How to remove Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center?

Hello, I look at a log of the events, and I noticed that there was some sort of error with the keyboard. Recommended action was to remove the driver and reinstall. So that's what I did. I have a Microsoft Comfort Curve keyboard 2000. Once I deleted the driver, then I tried to reinstall the driver which is bundled in a package called Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center. After downloading and extracting, invites a mistake: "this version of the software is already installed on this system. To re - install this software, you must remove it all first, and then rerun Setup from the installation media. For more information about removing a program, see Windows Help. "So, naturally, the first thing I did was look for an uninstall. Hmm, nothing to add or remove programs, there is nothing in the folder of the Start Menu. So the only other thing I could think to do was to delete the files in the C:\ directory, I did. But still, after trying to reinstall this driver, I get this same error. Will you please tell me how to remove this software from my computer, so I can reinstall it, so that I can use the good driver for my keyboard instead of ' HID Keyboard Device. Thank you.

Hi, I thought about it. Or, at least, I understood how to uninstall. It turns out that Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center is in Add or remove programs, you just need to search to find it. And I uninstalled. So, I'll just reinstall and go from there.

  • Combo sculpt comfort keyboard/mouse Microsoft - mouse problem driver windows 7

Just bought a new combo desktop Microsoft Sculpt comfort (keyboard and mouse). I have a problem with the mouse in Windows 7.

This mouse has the button scan blue on the left where you can drag upward or down and click. I have this attached to a Dell E6520 laptop.

In windows 8 the slide it towards the bottom of the function pulls the top of the list of open windows. In Windows 7, it's the browser's "back" button. I installed the latest microsoft mouse and keyboard software 2.3.

When I first installed the drive, everything works as expected. Suddenly the button works like the browser's "back" button. A few hours later, or after a reboot slide down begins to open the windows instead. The only way to fix is to uninstall the driver and re install. I tried the USB in USB ports and all are working the same.

How can I solve this problem? I called Microsoft support and they said to return the system and replace it. It is not a hardware problem and return it will do no good.

    Any help would be useful.

    Thank you

  • Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center 2.3.188.0 is not Exchange buttons of the mouse correctly with Windows Remote Desktop

I use Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center for years with no problems. For example, version 2.2.173.0 worked well. I use Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

I swapped the buttons on my Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 (so that the right button's "click" and the left button displays a context menu, for example). When I connect to a remote computer, traded buttons continue to operate as programmed.

Just set Windows Update to update my mouse and keyboard Center to the 2.3.188.0 version. Now when I use the Windows Remote Desktop to connect to another computer that is running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, my button is not honored. In other words, on the local computer, the right button of the mouse is 'click '. On the remote computer, the left mouse button is 'click '. The keys are reversed on the local computer, as I have it configured, but not on the remote computer.

I called Microsoft and was transferred to various departments. I would like to report this bug, although I have to pay out of pocket, but there seems to be no way to report this bug.

Is there a way to report this bug to Microsoft? Is there a solution? How can I revert to a previous version of Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center?

I suggest to perform a restore of the system to a restore point before the update.

You can also uninstall the keyboard and the mouse Center programs and features.

Then, go to this site and download the previous version.

(I couldn't find any previous version on Microsoft sites, but I checked the file hash values, I downloaded Microsoft previously).

  • Keyboard and Microsoft mouse Center: cannot add new program

    Hello.

I have a Sidewinder X 4 keyboard and have a problem with Microsoft Mouse and keyboard Center. I am trying to create macros for several PC games. Whenever I click on "app settings ', then 'new' and add a program to the list I have no problem of creating macros.
However, when I click on 'Manually add a program' at the bottom of the list, a window of the Explorer flashes upward and then closes immediately.
I had the 2.0 version, so I uninstalled, restarted and installed the version 2.2.173.0. I rebooted and tried to add a new program once again, but you have the same problem.
