• Mac App Store get confused with partitions/external records

  I have a MacMini with 2 HD.

  One with El Capitan and the other with the Mavericks.

  When I installed El Capitan, I realized Mac App Store by default update all applications even those of Partition of the Mavericks.

  So I disassembled the Mavericks score (and changed the preferences) and

  I re - download an app from the Mac App Store from my ElCapitan boot.

  Once downloaded, it wasn't on the Applications folder.

  But in a folder (volume) with the name of an external drive. (not plugged in during installation) I found it, by launching the application via LaunchPad and display in the Finder menu in the Dock.

  This Application has been on this external backup drive, it is true. and the drive be connected at one time or another. But it is not plugged in during this installation.

  I can see this Volume of fake in the Terminal, but not with DiskUtility.

  If I plug the drive, I in /Volumes: ExternalDiskName and ExternalDiskName2!

  How can I remove this fake (Ghost) Volume!

  And why the Mac App Store is looking everywhere and not only on the system partition. It's a mess!

• How downgrade to El Capitan without having in the Mac App Store

  Hello! I'm completely new to Mac and for this forum. Coming from Windows, I found the keyboard a bit confusing. So I installed carabiner, which most of the time worked like a charm.

  Then there was a notification update to Mac OS Sierra. So I did. And now the carabiner is broken. In addition, the trackpad scroll is annoyingly slow, and I realized that I just liked El Capitan more generally.

  But since I got the Mac with El Capitan, I don't have in my list of purchased on the App Store. So where can I find an official download to create installation media, and then reinstall El Capitan (which, as far as I KNOW, is the only way to "downgrade" a Mac if I have no backup of before)? I have no personal files on Mac yet, so I don't mind erase the drive.

  Suggestions would be highly appreciated, even with solutions) 1 carabiner to work again and 2) to change the sensitivity of scrolling to the trackpad.

  It seems that my external hard drive is completely confused the App Store. I have a backup on this external hard drive, which also contains a folder "Applications".

  I disassembled the drive, but it does not help: whenever I have install some applications (not not the case for each of them), it is installed under/Volumes/MyDisk/BackupFolder/Applications /.

  Even if the disk is unmounted, App Store will go and create the path integer under/Volumes /.

  Product App Store can only be updated by logging into the store with the same identifier Apple that was initially used to download. You can not update anything, including your own purchases, as long as are waiting for updates related to one other code.

  1. Press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Red slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your device completely off.
