  typical - just that I was looking to upgrade, I get the following message on my Torch 9800:

  "BlackBerry message memory and SIM card are full! Please delete some SMS. »

  There is a lot of space on the card in the device memory and press. I have deleted many texts and have removed the battery (several times), but the error keeps coming back.

  I am able to text but can't seem to receive - although copies of text messages that I send continue to be saved. I'm having no problem with other forms of e-mail (for example, WhatsApp, Twitter).

  I looked at 3465 Knowledge Base, which advises to uncheck the option "Leave Messages on SIM card", but this has been disabled throughout. (I checked it and saved out of curiosity, which allowed me to receive text only test that I then just sent myself, but after the error message is returned and no other text would come through...)   When you say you deleted text messages, how have you deleted and how do you think that you have?

  I suggest making a backup with BB Desktop Software. Then, you can use it to do a selective removal of just the basis of message text and see if you can receive messages after that. If you did the backup you can always restore text messages on the device if you want to, although he will crush all new messages on the device.

  Wow... that's a little wider set of problems you reported initially. In this case, most of the pre-trial remedies are, as you have discovered, not useful.

  The only left thing I can advice try to start in safe mode:

  Then, get a good backup of your BB. If you can not get a backup, your data may be lost. I hope that you have a prior backup. So, I recommend you get BBSAK (www.bbsak.org) and install it on your PC. Then install the package of the BONES of your carrier for the exact OS that you are running on your computer:

  9/10 times, this is due to a person installing the program Desktop Manager blackberry as "BES" rather than BIS...

  Any new owner of BB (8130 Pearl). I have a Telus Faves 35 plan with unlimited access to e-mail / e-mail module and have a question about the SMS Messaging. The 35 Faves plan includes 'unlimited picture and video messaging with your Fave 5' (which I was contacting). When I receive a multimedia message (text with the image attached), I get only the text over a URL to TELUSMobility.com where I should go to see the image as an attachment. I thought that this image would make it online in the text? Under the camera application, there is a function of sending but no option to send a picture to a cell phone - email.

  Still unaware on the sematics but on my old Nokia pay-as-you-go 3235i that images in messages SMS always rendered inline. I have used the wrong approach to send and receive multimedia?

  This due to the fact that your SIM card or your mobile phone number is not configured for MMS service. Messages you receive means that your SIM card is not attached with your carriers MMSC.

  To activate MMS service contact your operator. They will do the rest, and only then will you be able to send MMS from your BlackBerry. This problem is not related to BlackBerry.

We have a user who's deleted device 13.02 e-mail and date previous to this. Ive tried different diagnoses to recover these, but I think that the only solution will be a wipe and reactivation

  Go to "Messages" application on your Blackberry.

  Open the menu, and then select Options - General Options.

  In the General Options - there is a field: 'keep the messages '.

  Set it to "Forever" If you want to keep all your messages forever.

  I am a relatively new user of BlackBerry and fairly well until last week, things were going along.  The first thing that struck me as odd is that my trackball wouldn't scroll down through my messages screen.  It will stop to highlight date separators and messages within that time.  I have repeatedly roll the trackball upwards or downwards so that it can move and sometimes when it reappears it stops just in below the current date and won't spend keeps me new messages during extraction.

  Today, I realized I had new messages and a text message but when I went to pick them up they disappeared.  I'm no more or to my mailbox of e-mail quote either.

  Also, when I try to delete some messages it will not allow me to delete.

  I have also three mailboxes installed on my Blackberry.  All messages, regardless of what email, they were sent to, come in my messages folder key, but is no longer the case.

  Does anyone have any ideas as to what is happening?  I took the tutorial, but none of my questions are covered.  The phone is only 40 days too.  Thanks in advance for your help.  -J

  This sounds a little funky. Your best bet is maybe a new installation of the operating system to date on the device. Are what carrier you satisfied?

  That should fix things upward. Otherwise, I regret to say, but you may need to seek the replaced device.

  One way that messages are returned to the device is if the message ID on the server. If the ID change RIM sees it as a new message and it returns once again. There are different causes to change the IDS of the messages. You will need to check with the administrator.

  This is the BBM - BlackBerry Messenger. Go there and see what new items there are. You can or not can see in Messages, but should definitely see it inside of BBM.
