"Untrusted connection" when I try to open Gmail.

I've never had no problem with Gmail up to our days. I'm not quite sure what the support of Best Buy technician did fix my anti-virus, but now FireFox refuses to load Gmail Web page. He tells me now that the connection is not reliable and that it refuses to load it in some way, shape, or form.

"This connection is Untrusted".

You asked Firefox to connect safely to mail.google.com, but we cannot confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect safely, sites will present a reliable identification to prove that you're in the right place. However, the identity of this site cannot be verified.

What should I do?

If you normally connect to this site without problems, this error can mean that someone is trying to impersonate the identity of the site, and you should not continue.

mail.Google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer) »

I haven't specified it to connect safely, but I guess that since always. I desperately need to get this fixed number that my school work is related to my Gmail and I use it often.

Hello

What antivirus software do you use? If you use Kaspersky, please see:

If you don't use Kaspersky but have an antivirus or firewall with some form of scanning of HTTPS, you need to add their false certificate from Firefox, using steps similar to what is shown in the link above.

For the common troubleshooting steps, see the article "this connection is untrusted" error message - what to do.
