question of button on/standby iPhone 5

I wish Apple would have let people know when they know that the clients phone has a potential default.

I have an iPhone with a bad power switch 5. My serial number retired. But, because I'm a little past the period of three years to replace, they said I was out of luck.

If they know my phone has a problem, why they don't text me and let me know.

My phone has been having this problem for a number of months, and I would have had it to Apple to fix sooner if I knew that they knew it was a problem.

As a first step, it happened all the time. Then it got worse. Then, I removed the cover of Speck and which helped for a while, but it was still all or nothing.

When I took the Apple store weeks ago, they said an appointment of engineering and that they would simply replace the hardware. When I did and went today, they said sorry... you've waited too long.

I wish that Apple has been a little more proactive to let their customers know that they have a problem.

I did take my phone to Apple and to replace the battery, because it was bad and they replaced under warranty.  Why didn't they say something for me at this time on the power button. When they fixed the battery, Apple knew they had a problem with the power button cable but didn't say.

I guess now I have to order the parts by iFixit and do the repair myself.  Thank you Apple.

I am in a very similar situation.

In fact, I went early in the programs of the battery and Sleep/Wake button REP and was told by the staff that they have been inundated with requests for replacement, so I should come back in 6 months because they were so busy. No mention of a date 'REP-eligibility of expiry period.

Of course, since I forgot that I am living in the 21st century, I didn't record the conversation, note the name of the tech and take a picture of us together holding a newspaper, so I was unable to "prove" that the conversation took place when I went in last week, finally accused of manufacturing of initial and refused to service encounter.

In defense of Apple, many companies don't remember even in these cases, and Apple did. In the tech defense, if I went back in 6 months at the time, I would have always been the purchase time of 3 years period.

In my defense, this is a defective product, which was recalled voluntarily in order to avoid costly lawsuits legal and I am always within 3 years of the date of ad time on 25 April 2013 (via the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, check the "information as the ' downstairs). Why is there still a time-out on this kind of program period, anyway?

* Sigh *... Also looking at the road to iFixit, now. Still going to try a few different Apple stores to see if I can get a different answer.

    I have an iPhone 6, and today I have updated to iOS 9.3.5, to 10.0.1.  One thing I noticed that really bothers me, it's unlocking the device.  With iOS 9, I had to touch the Touch ID to unlock.  Now I touch the ID to touch and sometimes it unlocks, and sometimes, I see 'Unlocked' at the top of the screen and "Press home to open" at the bottom.  I have to press the Home button to open the phone.

    It seems to me that having to push the home button more often will put more wear and tear, causing to fail more sooner than it otherwise.  Who thought it was a good idea?  It is perhaps a subtle boost to force me to update the iPhone 7, with his home in the solid state button?

    I think it's something that needs to be modified in iOS 10.0.2.  Make sure that touching just the Touch ID opens the phone each time, as iOS 9 has done.

    -in year 2 of the apple contract, they will be how to handle the return of the old phone? (I guess that's post it the same as ATT that was just?)

    That is right. You will be free AT & T Agreement and you can do as you like.

    It's nice to hear that you found answers to your questions here. Many people here trying to help.

    Back to your question: it is not easy to give a precise answer and I really put t know if you can change the settings of a single button. I think it has something to do with the registry entries, but how to change, that's another question.

    If you use this button for lighting ON / OFF, you can use FN + ESC for the mute button so you have two options that can be used with a touch or quick key combination.
    Can you please test and confirm that it works correctly?

    Your iPhone is still under warranty (if you him have not damaged, and if you are in the country where you purchased it).  Take it to an Apple Store or Service Center authorized Apple and let them look at and advise you how to proceed.

    To ensure that your software works correctly, set up in the new device once again, as this is explained in this article:

    Start without using the backup first, put in place the phone manually and test the iMessage and FaceTime functions.

    This is right. The controls buttons Toshiba Launches the Windows media player or other applications like IE once Windows has finished loading.

    Like some other Toshiba Qosmio series laptops or another series is delivered and equipped with the Qosmio player or Express Media Player.
    These players can be looked at separately, without having to start Notepad in Windows operating system.

    But your Equium doesn t takes care of the players.
