Unwanted in PDF format bold text

Windows 7, Word 2010, Acrobat X Standard

I created a Word document with non-bold text and many images (.png for most).

After creating the PDF file, the text on each page containing an image is "BOLD".

I discovered that if I check the box for Create PDF/A-1a: 2005 compatible file, , then the text is fine. However, I can delete is no longer the additional empty page that Word insists on adding.

Short of conversion all the png to jpg, does anyone have a work around?

Thank you

Mary

How do you convert your Word to PDF file? You use the add-on PDF machine? In the Word Options in the Save category you embed the fonts in the selected file?

In Acrobat X, if you change to Edit > Preferences > Documents category view the document in PDF/A mode "Never" you can delete the extra page.

PNG should work fine (even if it is not designed as a print size). If is not the image in question format (thought jpeg does not support transparency in the image itself), jut the fact that there is a form any transparency on the page.

Did you group you the objects with "Turn as a unit" and adjust the
objects? I found a bug in PDF export with blows of brush together and scale.

Workaround solution. Duplicate your brushes file and release. Can export to PDF.

  • Formatting lost bold text after generating report through BI

    Hi Experts,
I have a problem with printing APEX report to PDF using BI Publisher.
I created a few Oracle BI Publisher rtf via plugin model in Word format.
Then, I loaded the xml file and check the preview in PDF format. Everything worked fine in MS Word.

When I run the report via APEX, bold text is simple - formatting is lost.
I put the correct font in the editor font BI.

    Where the problem should be?

    Specs.
    Oracle 11g
    BI Publisher 10g
    APEX 4.1

    Thank you
    Concerning
    J :D

Now, what you need to do is to connect to the Publisher BI and under font mappings, ensure that good fat police is installed for this font. If it isn't then you must download the bold font on the server and set it up.

Right side of the text in the report are cut during report generated in PDF format.
In the report layout text is FLUSH JUSTIFIED. Text block is the same size as the outer frame.
When the report is generated in PDF format, text is only JUSTIFIED to the LEFT and to the right looks like cut. Text beyond frame is invisible.
But when I text selection in the PDF report that all the text is selected and I can copy and paste this text into any editor.
What is a cause of this error and how can I solve this problem? In my view, there is error in report engine.

Don't know what your operating system and it could make a difference. If you're on Unix/Linux, try changing the uifont.ali file. (make a backup first!).

Here is an example of the changes that I made to correct a similar problem:

I use the current trial of Acrobat DC version. I opened a PDF I created in Corel Draw by publication in PDF format. I tried to copy and paste text from it to a Word 2007 document. The copy option was available, but when I went to the document and chose paste, it was nothing. I then tried the same thing but sticking in a document of Corel. The same problem. It seems that the text has been copied, but I'm unable to paste it into another program. Is this real?

Is it permanently available text? (Can highlight you)?

This seems a strange way of working well - why not copied from the draw to Word?

  • Black partially becoming white text in pdf format

    Nice day

I encountered a strange bug in saving my document in pdf format (requested by the print service). All records very well, with the exception of half of a letter. Half of this letter looks white outside.

I looked at the settings, so does so that there are no layers or anything of the sort on the text. I tried to save as different versions of pdf and compression. This a letter just stubbornly wants to be half white. I am at a loss.

    Anyone have any ideas?

PS: the .psd file is fine, it only happens in the pdf file to save to.

    I have CS6 V13.

Switching fonts seems to work, but return to Myriad Pro press the issue. I seem to have resolved by deleting the word offensive and rewritten. Seems ok now.

  • I created a pdf form to a Word doc with the air police 9 pt formatted; the text on the pdf form is air 9 pt, but the fields are formatted in courier 12 pt - how can I reformat the police in the fields?

I created a pdf form to a Word doc with the air police 9 pt formatted; the text on the pdf form is air 9 pt, but the fields are formatted in courier 12 pt - how can I reformat the police in the fields?

Edit the form fields so that they use Helvetica by 9 points. Do not set the Arial font. Acrobat/Reader will use a private version of Arial as a substitute for Helvetica. If you specify Arial, it will integrate the entire police (sometimes several times), makes that increase the file size unnecessarily.

  • underlined text retains do not fill color to the PDF format saved in 6 IND.

After typing a Word, create outlines, then add a dash of contour (say 1 pt), the original color barrier does not appear in the PDF that I previsualisez in Acrobat Pro. The word appears as outline only.

I have to go back and put the same word (before describing) on the version described it "appears so" as filled in the following PDF.

I have attached a screenshot. This image shows the word red, KINGDOM, has been exposed, but I put the (unexposed) red text above (InD) to make it appear as being filled in the PDF file. Words in blue, ETERNAL and POWER, are also described and briefed on InD, but I do not you cover them (as KINGDOM), to show the appearance in the PDF file.

I've also attached a screenshot of the original with the same text as InD doc indicated (accident 1pt stroke) which seems OK here before registration in PDF format.

The word MINISTRIES is not described. It is the original text.

It does not appear in 5.5, I recall. Any ideas? What is a parameter InD I missed or pref in Acrob Pro?  Thank you

    no fills InDes.pngfills InDes.png

Now that I see this particular problem with the text of Bauer, I know how to deal with them in the future. I just wanted to be clear that this was no InD or PDF. Trajan is a close substitute. As Bauer is already established in the context of this logo, it must stay.

Perhaps in the future the leaflets (with logo), I could save in jpg format only, which eliminates the problem of contour.

    Thanks... icfives

  • Text on a path not to export in PDF format

This announcement, I'm just in case there is an easy solution, but I suspect that the architecture of a particular CS4 file is damaged in a weird way that only affects exporters text on a path in PDF format.

Most of the examples of text on a path in this document will not export to PDF, and I have a suspicion that the problem may occur only after a certain number of page - but that is not confirmed. Tried anything that I don't gets me the text in an exported PDF, and that includes almost all the possible combinations of the export settings by changing the layers, masking layers, restoration OSX and reloading CS4.

One thing can work: as a test, when I moved a page to a new document, text on a traced is exportable. I didn't have no more in that direction immediately, in the case where there is a difficulty that is easier than moving 813 pages at once, which crashes CS4 when I tried it.

    Any suggestions?

Under the banner of 'better late than never', this bug is now fixed in the 6.0.4 update.
