• Satellite A300-1OM - Media sharing with XBox 360

  I'll have some real problems share my media with my Xbox 360 using my home wireless network.

  I used to connect my 360 to the internet via internet sharing with my laptop connected via Ethernet. I now borrow a wireless adapter for the 360 that still lets connect me to the internet on the 360, but I can no longer access my portable music library or find a PC Windows Media Centre when searching for the network on my 360.

  My laptop is running Windows 7 64 bit. When I display 'network' appears from my own laptop, my second laptop computer connected to the network is also shown, and the 360 is also indicated in the devices section of media. Under 'Options of Streaming Media' my 360 is also listed and given full access to my portable media.

  When my laptop is connected directly to my 360 via Ethernet the music library and video library works great, like Windows Media Center.

  Anyone know of any solution to this problem? I guess it will just be a problem with some settings on my laptop as opposed to a problem with my Xbox. Any advice much appreciated!

  Anyway, if everything works with the LAN cable, you should check the firewall options. Try turning off the Windows Firewall and update the driver WLAN from your laptop.

• Sony XBR-55X850D audio sync problem with Xbox One S

  Recently bought a new Sony X850D 55 '' TV, it's my 3rd Sony TV the past 10 years, and the first I had a problem with.

  I use the TV mostly for games on my Xbox One S, but have found that there is some dramatic audio synchronization problems. The sound coming out behind what is displayed on the screen (IE. Close door, sound audible is later). Xbox is connected to the TV via HDMI to input 1. I also have a bar of his (CT380) connected via HDMI output HDMI-4 ARC.

  I tried with and without the Soundbar without result. 3 different cords HDMI do nothing. Using my old Xbox One compared to the new One S has no difference. Question was not present on my old Sony TV. Tried with ClearAudio on and out, no change. I can't find all the parameters of sound synchronization in both of the TV, bar, or Xbox.

  I could solve my problem using HDMI from the Xbox to the sound bar HDMI then another sound to the TV bar.

  Yes, but you don't need to wait for Windows 10 to do so.  Just open your computer network and sharing options, set to be broadcast on your Xbox.

  There is no way to use a USB-HDMI video adapter as DThompson1985 suggested. If I understand you correctly, you want to use your TouchSmart computer as screen for your XBOX.   Follow these steps:

  (a) connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the back of the Xbox 360. Connect the other end to the router to the Xbox 360. The Ethernet port looks like a plug phone, only bigger. Ensure that all other connections have been made to the router. This includes feeding and the cord from the cable or DSL modem.

  (b) turn on the router and the modem.

  (c) turn on Xbox 360.

  (d) to test the Internet connection under "system settings" in the "my Xbox" Proceed "network settings" tab, then press "test Xbox Live connection". If you are prompted to update the software, select "Yes."
