  I gave to my son my old "BOLD". It's been a while since the update.   I'm curious to know if this can be updated to 10?

  In my view, there is an update that he wants to do, that will take me an hour. What is the update 10?  I don't want to update it and ruin the phone!  He'll kill me lol. Can I safely to this day and not mess up his info?

  No older BlackBerry devices (compared to the OS 4 to 7) can be updated the current operating system of BlackBerry10.

  The kernel is not possible, different OS and hardware.

• Update blackBerry Storm Smartphones all saved Messages deleted

  The upgrade of the storm somehow deleted all my messages I had saved on my Storm.  My laptop using Vista and Outlook 2007.  I use my Blackberry for home use / ie not BES.  Is there anyway to restore these messages?

  If you updated through theDM, it must save and place the LoaderBackup.ipd file in the My Documents of the PC section.

  Look in My Documents for this file, it can look like this

  . IPD backup-(2009-05-31)

  If you have not this file just do a restore of the DM

  I've recently updated my storm 9530 to OS la.122, but it appears that my applications were not saved.  I got most of them now reinstalled but my paid app one does not re - download.  I used the official RIM BlackBerry App World to buy Guitar Hero World Tour mobile and am able to see in 'My world' but when I try to reinstall I get an error saying "having connection problems to...» ".  It's weird because I managed to install a few free apps in App World, but only my paid app will not work.

  WTF?  I'm having fun with the game.  Now I can't get it.

  I received an automated email from Blackberry that there is an upgrade available for my phone.  Looking around it seems people are upgrading to OS 5.x.

  For some reason I thought any thorugh the updater of Blackberry that there is no update available for my phone which is 4.6.1.231.

  No idea why this is and how can I get the update?

  Remove Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo.

• BlackBerry 9700 Smartphones battery problem

  Asked a Q like this before with not much luck.

  Problems with my BB 9700 battery

  O/S 6.0.0.668 (2949)

  It seems to give inaccurate battery relieved of meter.

  A few examples.

  I usually charge my battery at night when I'm asleep, I wake up at 9 hours later with the phone still on charge but the meter indicates 85% charged! If I do a battery pull it then reads 100% that it should be read.

  Tonight the battery has been read 50% loaded, I tried to take a picture and he said flash couldn't be used because the battery was too low? I did a battery pull and after restarting the meter was orange and read 15%...

  I've removed all the spare apps that I downloaded on the phone to make sure it wasn't one of these problem causing theis, but it did not help at all.

  Can anyone advise me as to what is wrong with it?

  I would like to replace the battery.

  I have Vista and Outlook 2007.  Following the update of storm this afternoon all my calendar data has been removed from my Storm during synchronization.  He was still missing after as I resynched.  Fortunately, no data has been lost on my computer.  Any suggestions?

  'Restore' I did to fix my deleted messages seems to have restored my calendar items, I am very happy!

  It will be quite difficult to answer your question without knowing the specific applications which you are curious...

  However, it is actually the developers to decide if and when to get out an application for a specific model of BB. Some developers do not want to and keep their market limited to a subset of devices of BB. Other developers quickly release versions for each new model BB coming out. But it's the developers who are in control... I suggest you contact the developers of some apps you are interested in to find out their plans.

  I guess I hang out in various circles because I have not heard that.  Keep in mind that depending on the phone you choose, there are applications available that will accelerate the speed of your browser.

  I assume that you have installed? Look in your downloads folder. There?

  Check Options > Applications. See listed?

  If so,.

  Perform a restart of the device: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  Now, back in your downloads folder.

  There is no Office Outlook for installation on the BlackBerry. You use the existing additional address book, the calendar, memos and tasks on the Blackberry device and synchronize it with Outlook on your PC.
