  Adobe Application Manager refuses to complete updates for CS5.5 Production Premium and gives window that says ' Close Adobe Bridge CS5.1 (Bridge.exe) and I have follow all instructions in Bridge help where others speak same problem.» Nothing, they suggest work. The problem is still there, refusing to allow me to 'Continue' with my downloaded updates. He apparently is a long-term problem that Adobe should have been fixed with a patch, etc. A simple "close Application" under the file in Bridge should do the trick.   I have almost all of the applications for the new cloud of Creative Adobe via Adobe Application Manager installed, but has encountered a problem when installing Acrobat X Pro. It would download but then stop in the installation process and not all go further.

  I have a plan for photoshop CC and it works perfectly (I pay a monthly price for it and it is all ok).

  I'd really like the ability to use Creative Cloud sync, in order to have the same settings, when I switch from pc to mac (I use both extensively).

  At the moment I have Adobe Application Manager installed on my macbook pro.

  Adobe Application Manager is not up-to-date on its own.

  If I try to download creative cloud and install it, it opens Adobe Application Manager and stop there. Does not install creative cloud.

  I also tried to uninstall MAO, but it seems that I couldn't, so I used the Adobe cleaning tool and I eliminate AAM. Then I downloaded the installer of creative cloud again and I tried to install it, but it installed Adobe Application Manager instead!

  For Mac OS Snow leopard Desktop Application 10.6.8 creative Cloud is not compatible. It is compatible with Mac 10.7 and later.

  10.6.8 works with Adobe Application Manager only. This is the reason why, regardless of how many times you try to install creative cloud, it will install Adobe Application manager.

  What I see is a list of the programs on the right and "Installed" or "install". Nowhere can I see a list of the updates available or applied.

  However there are updates available, for example, I'm on Lightroom 4.1 and when I start it up it tell me that there is an update available. However following the link just takes me to an external Installer to download and run. Is there a method unified view/apply updates in the Adobe Application Manager? I've updated the MAO a day or two there as well so I'm sure I'm on the latest version.

  I use Creative Cloud (CS6) on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.

  Tobias Adobe Application Manager automatically detects updates for most of the Adobe Applications.  In general, if you can ensure you have the latest version by going to help > updates in the application you are eager to update.  For example, Photoshop Lightroom uses a mechanism separate from the Adobe Application Manager Update.

  I went into the preferences for the application manager and the saw was both CS5 and CS6 products listed and so I just disabled all CS6 products and he said no update available and the icon went away. I also see in the preferences, you have the option to disable the icon in the task bar if you don't want to tell their updates.
