Update error DW MX - "this file does not contain DW MX"
I'm trying to update Dreamweaver MX version 6.1 to a newer version, but I get this error message in the installation program. He just somehow does not see Dreamweaver in there looking in the right place. Frustrated! Upcoming new customer! Help!
Thanks John! The 6.1 update worked (it is not listed as 6.1.1842, only 6.1)
You who read from the splash screen?
The version number is displayed when you view the file using Windows Explorer .exe dialog box
but I can't upgrade to a better version (the one I want is 7.0.2). I'm at an impasse here?
Version 6.0 to version 7.0 has been a paid update - not a free update. 7.0.2 was an update to 7.0.
Since you are outside the 3-versions-back rule (to qualify for the upgrade price), your only option now is to buy new CS5.5.

Hello-
I'm looking for here (or get) help directed to the right forum regarding an error message I got when trying to open a PDF file. The error message indicates "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if such is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel. "To be quite honest, I don't have the slightest idea as to what to do with respect to this message and I need some advice ASAP. I have the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader installed and if I have to contact them instead about my problem, please let me know.

This would include the HTTP and HTTPS protocols.
- If you click is an email address, it is the file association for the mailto: protocol that broke.
- If it you click on a file as an attachment to the e-mail message, then this is the file association for the type of file (for example, .docx, .pdf, .jpg) concerned who broke.

- Select custom , and then click the chevrons pointing to extend the selection.
- Under choose a default browser, select Internet Explorer.
- For other browsers you use, select enable access to this program .
- Click OK, and then restart the computer.
Now try to click a link in an e-mail. If it still does not work, please describe in detail what is happening, including the full text of the error message.
