Whenever my computer tells me to click on the yellow shield to automatically install updates, on & on it keeps appearing, no matter how many times I click to install & computer automatically turns off. This has happened for 5 months now. Today, I spent more than an hour, inquiring more (I only am not computer savvy real), signed properly, and now see that what is not install is:
update security for Windows XP (KB268509)
It becomes annyoying. I have a very good security against spam & virus McAfee but nothing over the top.
You can solve this?

Windows 7 Internet games to fail with the error Code 0x8004100x
I'm running a machine, Windows 7 Professional, where I manage hundreds of computers remotely. (I hope, that will alleviate the need for anyone to ask me to check my internet connection.)
It is unpredictable whether or not I will be able to properly play a trump play stings on the Internet. At one point, he's going to connect to the game server, find players and connect to the game, but do not start the game. If I try again, it will start the game in a few seconds. HOWEVER, after I had re-enabled everything that I had turned off and restarted the machine, I then installed the Tower from the end of September of Microsoft Updates (I did the 10/4, after that I had tested the updates before distribution to my networks). These are updates that I have installed on this machine:
- For .NET 3.5.1 security update (KB2416471)
- Update of security for .NET 4 (KB2416472)
- Update for Windows 7 (KB2158563)
- Update for Microsoft Silverlight (KB2416427)
- Microsoft - other hardware - peripheral USB Microwosft mouse
- Update for IE8 (KB2362765) compatibility view list
- Update for Windows 7 (KB2288621)
After the restart, I tried the games a few hours later, and I was able to play about 90% of the time - a record! -without receiving the network error.
It is worth noting that I restarted the computer three times while testing the elements start and then once after installing the updates, date at which I have found improvement in connectivity game. I rebooted the computer twice since and the games play much. (Relatively: I call 'good' 90%.)

I will apply patch bundle and my oracle database 11.2.0.2 and Microsoft Windows x 86 platform. As read the file Readme Oracle recommends to use OPatch utility version 11.2.0.1.3 or later. To check the inventory availability I use the command lsinventory % ORACLE_HOME%/OPatch/opatch.

KB2183416 Windows Update for IE8 repeatedly fails with the error code "WindowsUpdate_8007371C" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"
Whenever I run this update, it seems that it installs about 90% of the way but then stops and breaks down about 20 seconds later. If someone else sees this problem and is at - it a solution? I'm running Vista Home Premium SP2 and KB2183461 is listed as a critical update for my system. Help?

McAfee applications (and Norton) are known for not not upgrade (or uninstall) "clean". If you have McAfee Security Center installed since you bought the computer, he is been updated (automatically) several times. Try the following:

However, when I try this, Windows Update Standalone install displays the message"this update does apply to your system."
I can live with that (if the message is actually true). But if if this patch does not apply to my system, then why Windows Update keep trying to install it as an update 'important '? How can I get off the list so that the Windows Update log is not cluttered with all of the failed attempts? Finally, I ran Windows Update Fixit tool available. He fixed a couple of things (default location, another minor config) but not this problem.
P.S. running BitDefender 2012 if it matters...
To answer my own question, you can reset the status of the following method KB2509997 8 download and rename the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution. It would be nice if there was a less force brute to do this, because she loses all your update story and settings, but at least it works.

Identification of customer's Windows 7 NFS UID GID information
I am trying to connect to the Windows 7 Client NFS on a server running on a computer (VxWorks) NFS. I am able to properly connect Client NFS software by a 3rd party on the NFS server. However, when I use the Client for NFS provided by Windows 7, I am unable to connect. The \\ip address\share Z: mount"command fails with the error code"the path not found network ". I can't do a ping of the computer running the NFS server.

Update KB951847 failed with the error code 80200053
Day before yesterday I did a reset (this was described to me, basically as a reformatting of all readers and a reinstallation of original software) on my desktop HP with Vista x 64. Yesterday, I was doing the Microsoft Updates (I think he had 101 in total which stood for me). All of the except KB951847 installed correctly. When he reached KB951847 it says it failed with the error code 80200053.
I read on another thread that security antivirus software or others could cause this problem, but I still have to install it all because I read that it can interfere with some updates from Microsoft.
If anyone has solutions, I would be very grateful.

Home Vista premium: KB978338 fails with the error code 80004005
Cannot install other updates windows update screws. Impossible to find answers to this specific problem, all the links seem to point to XP or windows 7
Went to the Microsoft site and just tried to download and install just the fix KB978338, watched as she worked, system has rebooted with what looked like 266/266/registry component machine appearing on the screen just after the message of the HP bios and just before loading windows. The PC then realized... Updates not configured correctly - returning changes.
Seem to be stuck in this loop that KB978338 will not install and stops all other updates installation as all fails with the error code 800F0826.

I think that you are able to get on the desktop after changes have been restored.
Step 1: Auditor of file system (CFS) scan to fix all of the corrupted system files. To do this, follow the steps mentioned in the link below
Step 2: Download and run the system update tool. This tool runs an ad hoc analysis of inconsistencies that might prevent future maintenance operations.
Step 3: Clean boot the computer
Follow step 1 in the link below,

Important: n ' forget not to put the computer to follow normal start-up step 7 in the link.
Step 4: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) readers, etc...) Except the mouse and keyboard and then try to install the updates.
