Update graphics card Radeon p7 HD6450 - 1180t Pavilion to GTX 750-Ti

Hey everybody,

I'm running a strange problem editing a new video card to this machine.

ACPI - x 64 based

-i5 2400

-AMD Radeon HD 6450

-6 GB of ram

After the upgrade to an Asus GTX 750ti (using a 2xSata for power adapter 6 pins), the PC will not boot to the bios and I get a repetition 1 beep long.

Added a CX430 PSU 6 pin PCI-E and watts (hp was 300 watt) and still nothing.

Normally, I'm building my own PC for me and friends. I know I don't know everything, but I just have no idea where the trouble shoot from here.

Maybe the card would be dead? I think at least it can begin in the bios.

Mobo is PCIx16 v1 and card is PCIe3 but must be backward compatible.

Thoughts?

Returned 750 TI and got a Sapphire Radeon HD 6450 flex. the triple control like I wanted and for only 60 compared to 160.

Not sure that the real cause of the issue. possible problem with IRQ or card dead.

I am looking to update my graphics card for my PC. Those who would be the best for my computer?

    Gamer30, welcome to the forum.

I think that your handle explain what you want to do with the new video card.  Therefore, in my opinion, you have to upgrade the power supply (PSU), also.  The existing PSU is 300W.  Latest intermediate level maps require a minimum of 400 w to work properly.  These cards will be much better than the integrated video.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  They are of high quality.  Here's one that should fit in the space provided and give some future upgrade room.  I would normally recommend at least 500W, but 500 or 600 w will work as well for your situation.  The computer does not use any more power there need work properly.  As a result, won't hurt the computer. I recommend you measure the PSU existing and comparing measures to whichever you choose.

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  Here is one that you will give a boost to good performance and won't break the Bank.  I recommend you stay less than 9 "long.  This ensures that it fits in the space provided.

If you don't like one of the recommendations I have made, they will give you at least an idea of what works in your computer.  Always read the reviews to see what users have to say about any product you decide to buy.

  • Update graphics card on HP Pavilion PC h8-1214

Can someone suggest a good upgrade for the video graphics card on my son's computer?  It's a HP Pavilion HPE h8-1214 desktop PC.  It is an age of high school gamer so I'm looking for something in the sub series $400 (or even less if possible).  I don't know if he really needs an upgrade, but when he bought the computer, the former owner told him that he should update the graphics card in about a year.  I think he still has the card that came with the computer. a graphics card Radeon HD 7450 with 1 GB of DDR3 memory dedicated.  I guess I also need to check and see if she still only a 300W power supply or if the previous owner has replaced that.  Site HP says that there must be a PCI Express x 16.

    Hello

A video card the fastest for the games will require at least a 500 Watt power supply.  The Corsair CX500, or CX600 would fit well in the H8-1214.  As for a video card, NVIDIA GTX 660 (double wide card) should be enough for most modern video games.

  • Games slow to load after update graphics card.

I have a Compaq presario sr5123wm. Running Vista service pack 2. Had trouble with him, stopping or freezing while playing games or or using the internet, it seened to do more if I tried to do more than one thing at a time. So I changed the graphics card Radeon HD 4550 and the power of 400 watts. I have also cleaned the inside, ran Norton scans and down the updates. This seemed to fix the lock ups. Now when I try to load the sims 2 it no longer responds and when I try to play world of Warcraft it loads very slowly. any suggestions?

When you put you bump the memory to 4 GB?

  • Power supply with updated graphics card update

I am considering buying the HPE-150 t with an improved graphics card standard:

1 GB ATI Radeon HD 5770 [2 DVI, HDMI, DP, VGA adapter]

I went on http://support.asus.com/PowerSupplyCalculator/PSCalculator.aspx?SLanguage=en-us to the appropriate power needed for this gauge system, and it recommends a minimum 450 Watt power supply.

If I ended up buying the HPE-150 t with updated graphics card, I get a power supply improved to compensate for the increase of energy consumption?

Here are the specs of your motherboard.  It indicates a 350 Watt PSU.  However, if you scroll down to hardware options, you will see a 460 watt power supply associated with the 5770 video card.

  • Equium P300-16 t and update graphic card

    Hi all.

I was thinking about upgrading my graphics on the computer laptop satellite P300-16 t. I have not opened yet so my question is, has anyone here opened this machine? If so, is there a way to install a dedicated graphics card? i.e. the pcie? Could someone please advise if there are institutions in the machine to upgrade my graphics?

My gratitude in advance for any help.

In General, update graphics card is not supported and cannot be done.
Toshiba has written about it in http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

A common problem with portable mobile is the heat and to built the effective cooling system. Each laptop has optimized cooling system. More powerful graphics card will produce more heat, and this balanced hardware platform will not properly work. Can result in permanent damage from overheating or material.

Maybe stupid comment now, but if you need more powerful your laptop sell on eBay and buy a new one.

  • Pavilion 500-339: update video card for a 500-339 Pavilion... room with Ram?

I posted a message here a few days ago because I wanted to find a possible upgrade for my graphics card. I have a Pavilion 500-339, 3.5 GHz with 8g of RAM. The video card is a Radeo R7 240 and I want to upgrade. Big_Dave said (thanks for that!) but I am facing another problem. The motherboard is good, but compact and I fear that new video card (because it is longer) pretty much sitting on top the RAM (if it fits in all). I know that my computer is not a "PC game", but would that be a problem? One more time card would still hold? What choices do I have? Thank you

    Hello

Aries won't present a problem of heat for the graphics card.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

  • Update graphics card for HP Pavilion a1020n

Hello world! I need to update the graphics card in my HP Pavilion a1020n for windows 7 Aero or windows 8. I need the graphics card to start Minecraft, Roblox, the Sims 3, Roller coaster tycoon 3, decently. Thank you

JATON video-339PCI-HLX Radeon HD 5450 512 MB 64-bit DDR3 card should work and this ZOTAC ZT-60604-10 L GeForce GT 610 512 MB 64-bit DDR3 PCI card should work, but in both cases, you will need to upgrade the stock of 250 Watt PSU to something like the Corsair CX430 PSU.

  • HP Pavilion G070ca: update graphic card

I'm just curious to know what graphics cards I can install in my laptop. I have the 17-inch HP pavilion G070ca laptop, it uses a processor intel I7-5500u and a nvidia GT940m. I would like to probably the 970 or 980 just wanting to know if people are compatiable with my laptop

    Hello:

There is no removable or stretch graphics card in your laptop.

Nvidia GT940m GPU is integrated to the motherboard and the only way to update the graphics would be to replace the motherboard together with one of those enrolled in the service manual for your laptop model that may have better graphics.

It would be a very costly intensive project work.

Better sell your laptop and one with the graphic solution you want to get.

  • Update graphics card on Pavilion

I have a Pavilion P6719 desktop computer.  My son is unable to play games 3D on Steam, and so I was wondering what I should update the graphics card.  I was also told I need upgrade the power supply because it is 250 watts.  No idea how much these improvements?  Thank you.

Hi, I'm glad I could help.

Since your motherboad specifications, you should be ok.

It has a PCI Express Gen 2.

The provision should allow a video card double width.

The current supply is a standard ATX case size.

It's 250 watts, so you will need to update.

So quite here what they are available everywhere.

I can truly say all the necessary connections for sure without actually opening it watch, if you order something without knowing for sure get something with a lot of connections to the computer.

A ULTRA ULT-LSP750 should do the trick.

It has enough additional connections which should cover all the bases.

  • Update graphics card on HP Pavilion DV6920ea

    Hello world

I was wondering if it is possible to replace the graphics card for my HP Pavilion DV6920ea. It comes with Nvidia 8400 m GS graphics card.

I searched around, and I understand that it is difficult to update the graphics card on computers laptops/netbooks and that whole motherboard replacement may be necessary to replace the card if it is integrated into the card mother.

I looked at what I think is the graphics card inside the laptop and it doesn't seem to be welded. I am looking at the right thing, it means it is easily replaceable?

I think the upgrade to a graphics card more high end... (more than 8400 m maybe 8800 m)

    Any help is appreciated.

    ~ Net

You can improve 3D performance (as in the games) to disable Aero snap and replace your desktop Windows Classis theme. Who will free up memory for your game resources.

Regarding how I diagnosed your laptop scalability goes... I use research to do. I find which chipset is installed, and the features of the HP motherboard. Lets read the tech on the phone manual always.

With HP laptop/portable computers, you can assume generally that except if graphic switchable part package was purchased then you can not move the graphic solution.

There are a few upgrades graphic external relatively expensive available on the market. ViDock2 is one of these products. It's an interesting device. Using the ViDock you can play any game on the market using your laptop.

  • P6674y Pavilion: Pavilion p6674y update graphic card

I want to install a new graphics card in my former lodge. I'll add a new power unit - I prefer nvidia EVGa etc usually... does anyone know, or can anyone refer me to a url with this info?  I tried my radeon 5820 and she didn't any what exit, so I stuck in a 500w PSU and a gtx old 9400 for now, which only works for low use.

    @Maggietron, welcome to the forum.

Recent video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard/Legacy BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The motherboard may not be upgraded in the UEFI.  The last video cards that does not need UEFI were the GTX 660/670. I suggest to contact EVGA Tech Support (1-888-881-3842) to help choose the best card for your system.  They are the experts on their products.   In addition, they can tell you the power requirements of the card they recommend.

  • Update graphics card for my HP Pavilion p7-1534

I almost had my PC for a year now. I am looking for a good gfx card update that will allow me to run some high senior graphic games smoothly on graphics settings. Battlefield, ArmA, GTA are examples of games... Games like this. I know that I will also need to upgrade the power supply with the new card. If you could show me a few good cards and supplys power which would best adapt to what I'm looking for. Thank you.

P.S. Try to stay as close as possible to $400. I'm not trying to spend too much more than that.

    Hello

Feeding Corair CX500, or CX600 will best fit inside your PC and will have enough power for most video cards.

I run BF3 using a NVIDIA EVGA GTX 660 upstairs to the Ultra no problems at 1920 by 1080 resolution. In addition, if you want your PC to run in UEFI mode you can get an EVGA patch to enable this feature.

It fits and what I need to change the power supply to operate.

    Hello @Kyukyumii,

    Thanks for the quick response!

Unfortunately, I can't make recommendations about these products.  Generally, most of the gaming graphics cards, will have PCI Express 2.0 or higher.  There is always a chance that you will experience reduced performance, based on your hardware.  I hope this helps.

    Kind regards!
