Hello:

It should work fine in your PCIe slot.

I guess your 250W PSU be OK with the recommended by 300W P/S card.

If it has HDMI output you must go into your BIOS after installing the card and change your on-board audio settings auto on "Enabled" as the card will more than likely turn off your car, then video don't be not alarmed.

In addition, uninstall your current graphics integrated via the Device Manager. Right-click on it and select uninstall. If you have a box to check to uninstall the driver, make sure the box too.

Instead of rebooting your PC, stop it and install your new card. Restart it, let it be discovered and then load the driver. Don't forget to move the monitor cable to the new card.

    Atomic_Rooster SALVATION,

I agree that the 6850 is a powerful graphic card that is decent. If you want a lot more FPS capabilities then consider Sapphire AMD cards below.

R9 sapphire x 280 and the Sapphire Toxic R9 x 280 these two particular models have a switch to enable the UEFI or legacy mode operation. Mode of UEFI will not to work, but legacy mode might work. Sapphire has probably other models, but I have not checked all.  You will need a bigger power supply.

  • 220 watt HP slimline s511uk: pci express graphics card card low brackets

    Hello world.

I am trying to buy a new card for pci express card 16 graph to upgrade the s511uk hp slimline model.

But do not know which is compatiable like her as a supply of 220 watt power supply.

What I do need to update the pc to 300 watt psu suppy because some of these graphics cards are requiring one 300 watts to 400 watts.

the reason for the upgrade is at stake.

    Hello

Try HP Partsurferfor video cards that are used in the new Slimline models with a 220 Watt power supply. These cards have been made specifically for the HP Slimline PC with a 220 watt power supply. The 405 NVIDIA 1 GB is $126. The 520 NVIDIA 1 GB is $144 and the NVIDIA GT530 2 GB is $ 195.  HP may have other video cards designed for HP Slimlines with a 220 Watt power supply.

  • Can I replace my graphic chipset with an integrated PCI Express graphics card?

I am looking to update my graphics card. I did some research and learned that my motherboard is a N-Alvorix-RS880-Μatx (Yes, it has a PCI Express slot) and my current graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 4200 (Chipset). Product information on my computer on the HP site said that "integrated into the graphics card or the card PCI Express x 16 slot are usable at once; they are not usable at the same time. "I don't know exactly what this means.

Is it possible for me to get a new graphics card and use it on my computer? If so, what would I do with the current chipset graphic card? Or am I condemned to have to use my current lame graphics forever card?

Thank you very much for the help.

    Hi Scott,.

Please send the product code of HP to the exact address for your PC.

When a video card is installed in the PCI-E x 16 slot, the bios will recognize this situation and will subsequently disable the motherboard integrated video processor.  It's one or the other but not both.

Yes, you can put a discrete video card in your PC, but we need to know more information about your PC such as the size of the power supply etc.

And do not believe that these Youtube videos where we put a little video card pci-e in the slot wireless, connected to an external Bay with a desktop video card. It does not work because of bandwidth limits. Wireless slots are x 1 pci-e and a x 8 or x 16 video card needs. • upgrade Alienware Aurora - version PCI Express graphics card

Hi, I want to improve my Alienware Aurora with a new graphics card. I always use original equipment, an ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series (with GDDR5 1024), which runs with PCI Express 2.0 x 16. I had no problem with the card, but as I can't play Company of Heroes 2 with all the settings above, I want to get better. As I was looking for a new card, I wondered if my system supports only the PCI Express 2.0 version or also higher versions (like 2.1 or 3.0). Unfortunately, I couldn't find this information (my motherboard is an Alienware 0H869M). Maybe you can help me. If you have a recommendation of a good graphics card, I would be grateful that as well. Thank you.

You can use the latest AMD Radeon cards that were designed for PCIe v3, they work only PCIe v2 mode, and generally it will not create any problems. I wouldn't say anything much higher than a 290 R9 or R9 x 280.

You can also choose any NVIDIA card brand because they can also run on PCIe v2 and most people actually do this right now because they have not upgraded to a v3 PCIe system.

  • Update graphics card on HP Pavilion PC h8-1214

Can someone suggest a good upgrade for the video graphics card on my son's computer?  It's a HP Pavilion HPE h8-1214 desktop PC.  It is an age of high school gamer so I'm looking for something in the sub series $400 (or even less if possible).  I don't know if he really needs an upgrade, but when he bought the computer, the former owner told him that he should update the graphics card in about a year.  I think he still has the card that came with the computer. a graphics card Radeon HD 7450 with 1 GB of DDR3 memory dedicated.  I guess I also need to check and see if she still only a 300W power supply or if the previous owner has replaced that.  Site HP says that there must be a PCI Express x 16.

    Hello

A video card the fastest for the games will require at least a 500 Watt power supply.  The Corsair CX500, or CX600 would fit well in the H8-1214.  As for a video card, NVIDIA GTX 660 (double wide card) should be enough for most modern video games.

  • Update graphics card touch hp 420-1000 t?

Recently I got this computer for Christmas. The graphics card is the pre-installed, and everything has been updated except for the standard card. Anyone know if you can pass this or not?

    Page-based options and features for your 420-1000 t CTO, the answer is Yes. The system has a PCI Express x 16 Module (MXM 3.0) for graphics updates and had the choice of what follows in the factory;

    GeForce GT 520M (1 GB)
    GeForce GT 540M (2 GB)
Radeon HD 6450 has (1 GB)
AMD Radeon HD 6550 has (2 GB)

who are the following HP references (but I don't know which is which).

Contact HP to order the part... BTW, it's going to be expensive.

  • Updated graphics for a Satellite A100-163

    Hello
I was wondering if it is possible to improve the graphics in the Toshibe Satellite A100-163. In the specifications of this Web site, it says it is connected by the new card PCI Express x 16 bus, this means that it is infact a graphics card in my laptop at a later date, I would be able to upgrade?
    Thank you for your help,
    M_Taylor40

Well, the unit was delivered with an ATI MOBILITY RADEON X 1400 128 MB.
But generally, it is not possible to update the graphics card on the laptop.
The graphics on laptops are all just different such as a card in the desktop PC.

  • Update graphics card on Pavilion

I have a Pavilion P6719 desktop computer.  My son is unable to play games 3D on Steam, and so I was wondering what I should update the graphics card.  I was also told I need upgrade the power supply because it is 250 watts.  No idea how much these improvements?  Thank you.

Hi, I'm glad I could help.

Since your motherboad specifications, you should be ok.

It has a PCI Express Gen 2.

The provision should allow a video card double width.

The current supply is a standard ATX case size.

It's 250 watts, so you will need to update.

So quite here what they are available everywhere.

I can truly say all the necessary connections for sure without actually opening it watch, if you order something without knowing for sure get something with a lot of connections to the computer.

A ULTRA ULT-LSP750 should do the trick.

It has enough additional connections which should cover all the bases.

  • Slot PCI Express HP p7-1203 question!

I just bought a HP p7-1203 today and I want to update the th graphics card and the specs say that it is a PCI Express x 16 (gen2.0) slot that means it's just a regular PCI Express slot or a PCI Express 2.0 slot? Probably a stupid question.

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?objectID=c02980014

This means that it is a second generation x 16 PCI-Express slot... so Gen2.0 it conforms to the PCI-E 2.0 standard.
