  You must get the update of the firmware that can handle the type of file the same place ROMA, you got the firmware file.  From what I see, they seem specific to the product updated. http://www.FileInfo.com/extension/ROM if they don't have it, talk to their technical support staff and ask them what type of program is required to install the firmware provided in ROM format and where you can get it.  Vista doesn't have the ability to read a file ROM type  Some software must be added to give this capability.

  I'll look into it, but clearly it's hogwash f I need some sort of 3rd party software and edit the files just to play an mp3 on an mp3 player! Not to buy another player from sandisk. Too bad, I did not read these issues before leaving with my money.

  I bought a sansa e280. First, almost all the files were unknown - I read the other reviews - downloaded mp3tag v2.42.a, modified to ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1 as the replaced tags witl Ctrl + s. I copy, resulting in 'mptag.m3u is not supported. what I did wrong?

  Just highlight all the tags and save them (as ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1). You will see ID3v2.3 in parentheses.

  .m3u is a playlist file, then maybe make a playlist with CTRL +. If that's what you want to do, you must save the playlist in the folder with MP3.

  The data base in a v1 is the DATA folder in the SYSTEM folder. You must UN-hide the folders hidden in the Options of folders in Windows.

  The database in a v2 is mtable.sys.

• Unrecognized files

  I have a Zip Clip with USB MSC mode. (Especially!), I have no problem at all by dragging files through and listening to them.

  But some mp3 files are not recognized by the player. I don't think it's a problem of DRM, the problem occurs on a free content.

  Once (only once) the problem was solved by dumping the file in Audacity and then export again. But every other time I tried this trick, that it did not.

  I found once a voice memo, I had recorded on the Zip, the conversion in the audacity to WAV to MP3, then doesn't have to be recognized.

  Two examples of files that are not recognized by my Zip Clip. Podcasts, the most recent as I type this is #44 of the Empire (the film magazine)

  It is that they are not at all on the player. But when USB connected, files are clearly listed and can be played through the computer speakers.

  Change the field type "podcast" all fixed on two problem files I was watching. I still don't really understand as other files with an empty field kind or with other genres always appear ok in podcast on the zip clip.

  But the two examples I mentioned above are now sorted!

• Unrecognized files on the system recovery CD?

  My computer started crashing quite frequently with "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE" error about three weeks ago.  I tried defraging, clean disk upward and a fast and comprehensive analysis of the Norton computer and I tried to check the threads on some hardware, as the WLAN adapter (since recently stopped working) and it always crashes on me.  It seems to crash a lot when my internet goes suddenly to limited with little performance connectivity yellow sign on the subject, and when I go to disconnect and reconnect or simply use diagnose and fix computer freezes, then crashes.

  I hope that doing a system recovery to its original software configuration will help to stop the noise, but when I insert the first disc, as the instructions say to do, rather than get to the screen instructions, it just shows what is on the CD. As he shows me a bunch of folders with files.  I tried to click on some files and I get a message saying that the file type is not recognized...

  As you can see, the driver is too old. From what I found, this driver belongs to thesoftware of fingerprint AuthenTec . You use this software? If so, update the software please. If there is no update, delete.

  Hello... long time user of lightroom - bought a sony rx 100 iv and can't do raw (arw) to be recognized files.  I'm on version 5.7.1 and have found through this forum, people can indeed get their x 100 arw iv files to load properly.  any help would be greatly appreciated.  Preview of files is empty (preview not available for this file) and import back reports that this file type is not supported.  Please help - thanks!

  I'm on a Windows 7 Pro machine and until a week ago was running applications CC 2013 updated as body 7.2.2 Ps, AI, etc... Who ran smooth as butter.

  After the update of the CC desktop app and installing versions of PS 2014, HAVE, PR, AE, etc (previous versions CC 2013 have been installed yet at this point), I noticed that the file associations have been broken.

  In addition, when I'm in PS 2014 and go to file > Browse in Bridge - instead of launching the bridge, it launches the application of Office CC and guests me with "Are you sure you want to install this version of the bridge"? The first time, it prompted me to do so I of course did so all my apps are up to date. However, whenever I try to open the bridge to the PS it does the same thing.

  Any idea what's going on?

  From what I've been reading on various forums, there are many problems with the versions of the apps 2014. Very frustrating. Big mistake for me to install apps as soon as 2014, I should have waited a few months before the first round of the plots were out.

  I recently installed XP Service Pack 3, which included the so-called "Power Shell". Since when I then boot up, I get a message box that Windows files have been replaced by unknown files. The message then told me that it's not the correct CD.
  I thought about uninstalling Power Shell, but I get a message that it could lead to things like updates of IE and do not work. What should I do?

  The messge comes up saying that it is not the correct CD as Service Pack of the CD must match with the Service Pack installed on your computer.
