Update installation issues

When you try to install Windows updates, it takes a terribly long time; and then I get the message 'Installation failure, recovery of changes' which lasts even longer. How can I stop this?

First of all, I had the computer installed to automatic updates. He became a non-fin cycle of installation attempts failed and restoration of the changes. Go to manual installation seems to work any better.

We assume you are using Windows 7?

If so, open the Windows Update troubleshooting tool
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Update-Troubleshooter

If you get errors related to updates?

1. open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
2. in the left pane, click view update history.
3. find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.
Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.
4. in the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.
5 follow the links in the dialog box of Windows Update under more information or help and Support to try to resolve the problem, then try to reinstall the update by using Windows Update in Control Panel, or post back with more information.

I just bought a new laptop from HP HDX16 last Monday and I've seen a few problems with the installation of the updates. The ball of the small window appeared on my computer Saturday saying "new updates are available" I clicked on it, looked at 33 updates and 5 of those optional, agreed terms and began to download. After that, they started to install. It is said 'Installation successful' click to restart. When I restart my computer, it displays a blue "Update Configuration" page and gives a percentage... It is 100% and restarts and this black page comes with a number of a number (e.g. today was 0/117000 and when he arrives at 117000 TI clicks away) it then goes to a another blue page goes right to say "step 3 of 3-0% complete". He will be sitting on this page from 20 minutes to an hour, then to a page that talks updates could not be installed. Then go to my home page. After a few minutes the ToolTip appears again on the updates and it's the same 38 updates. He made 6 or 7 times and I can't understand it. What should I do to get these important updates installed?

  • PS CS6 update installation issues

    Gentlemen.

I regularly download updates of my Photoshop CS6 e Bridhe, but when it comes to installing them, him coimputer fails to do.

It is said that another program is running and therefore, it is not poissible to install updates "in the creative cloud."

My operating system is Windows 8 and I am an annual subscriber to Adobe Photoshop.

    Thank you for your help.

    Danilo Da Rin

Restart your computer and run your update before anything else.

If you still see this error message, open your process Explorer and search for programs running in the background (other than the update) adobe and stop them and start the update.

If this fails, attach a screenshot of your error message.

  • Camera Raw 6.6 update installation issues

Hi, I have CS5 Design Premium and have tried everything without success to install the update to Camera Raw 6.6.  If I try to use the automatic update in CS5, it starts the process, and then after a few moments, it stops and gives me the message: "Please close the following applications to continue: Adobe Bridge CS5 (Bridge.exe).  If I close Bridge or Photoshop, and then click on continue, I just get the same message - as if there is a ghost copy of the program running somewhere in the background.  I tried to download the file manually, then click on fix Adobe Setup by following the instructions on the Adobe website, but need me just directly to the Updater screen in Bridge or Photoshop, and then, I get the same message again.  It's a vicious circle - how make out of it?  I did exactly as I'm supposed to, but it tells me that I open a program, that even if I stop...  Any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

ColinAusterberry I'm not sure if you use Windows or Mac OS, but I recommend that you complete the following in order to allow the update to proceed.

Solution 1: Exit Adobe Bridge manually.

In Windows, right click on the Bridge CS5 or CS4 icon in the Notification area of the start bar in Windows, and then choose Exit bridge. If you can't close bridge yet, open the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete. In the Task Manager, select bridge then end task.

In Mac OS, Ctrl + click on the Bridge CS5 or CS4 icon in the dock, and then choose Exit.

Solution 2: Force Adobe Bridge to quit.

In Windows, right click on the start bar and choose Task Manager. Select the processes tab and choose to put an end to the process of Bridge.exe.

In Mac OS, choose the Apple menu > force quit, then choose close Adobe Bridge.

Note: The Solutions 1 and 2 allow Adobe Bridge continue to start when connecting.

Solution 3: Disable the option to start Adobe Bridge connecting.

In Bridge CS5 or CS4, choose the command Edition > Preferences (Windows) or Adobe BridgeCS5 CS4 > preferences (Mac OS).

    Choose Advanced Options.

Deselect the start Bridge option when connecting.

You can re-enable this option at any time.
