  • Root certificate update XP

I have spoken too soon about the repair of my previous to the detection of KB931125.  This time I didn't notice the new detection of the update previously installed only after the detected update Office Live Add - In.  After I installed it, updated detected as a high priority update, I ran Windows Update again, and it has detected again for the root certificate.  My previous thread, where I thought that this problem has been solved, was titled "Windows Update keeps detect two updates previously installed several times, KB931125 and KB2632503" then I uninstalled the Office Live Add-In and represented the update.  It always detects the update of root certificate.  If the failure of the feature update to recognize the root certificate as it has already installed is connected to an Office component?  I don't think that I had installed Office Live; so I do not understand why it has detected Live Add-In as criticism.

  • Update of root certificate does not (error CAPI2 event ID 60)

    Hello

I recently did a clean install of Windows 7 SP1 on a new system.
I noticed that there are sites including https / SSL certificates do not seem valid where I don't expect it (for example BBC laboratories), using the two Chrome and IE.
After some searching on the forum of other messages, I followed it down to a problem with Windows 7, do not automatically update root certificates installed. Specifically, using MMC event logging, CAPI2 event ID 60 (store) returns 5 "access denied." This causes then event ID 11 and 30 to not like the certificate chain fails to build and check.
    Other points to note:
    • Normal Windows updates work fine
    • Most of the sites using https / SSL works fine (i.e. a root certificates are installed with success - if those provided with Windows or have been updated since the installation I don't know)
    • I tried to disable all my firewall / antivirus programs where they prevented updates, no effect
Anyone know a fix for this - I don't really want to having to perform a complete reinstallation :(
    Thank you!

    Thanks sirot,.

    Unfortunately, this does not work.
In the end I just did a re-complete installation of Windows which seems to have solved the problem.
  • HP Software Update 2.8 guard installation on OS x Lion

I have a HP Photosmart C4795 printer and the OS X Lion. In software update, the version of the hp 2.8 guard software update appears and installation. I tried uninstallling all HP related and reinstall it, but it does not solve it. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thank you

Hey, Peter, lets try to uninstall the software by doing this:

    1. go in Applications/Hewlett Packard / click on uninstall HP and click on continue

    2. Select your device in the left pane
    3. hold the keys Ctrl, Opt and Cmd and click on uninstall
    4. There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
    5. click on continue and let it finish

Now run a software update. This is possible by clicking on the Apple in the upper left corner of the screen, then clicking on software updates.

Then, we will reset the printing system:

Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.

Also, make sure that you have installed this critical firmware update (its not relevant to your problem, but it is an important update): Update critical to prevent and recover from a front panel the HP Logo does not

Let me know if it helps

  • How can I determine that trusted root certificates in the Certification authorities are all valid

I was looking in the Lenovo Superfish Adware (I have her, much less a Lenovo) and I read an article in PC world who said Superfish installs a root certificate self-produced in the Windows certificate store for trusted root Certification authorities, and then quit all SSL certificates, presented by the HTTPS sites with its own certificate :

    http://www.PCWorld.com/article/2886278/how-to-remove-the-dangerous-SUPERFISH-adware-presintalled-on-Lenovo-PCs.html

This led me to run certmgr.msc (Certificate Manager) on my PC to see what certificates were in CAs roots of trust and to my surprise there are 321 certificates listed. How can I determine that all these certificates are all valid?

I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 and Windows Defender and update the definitions and conduct analyses regularly, with negative results. I have no problem at all with my PC, I'm just worried.

  • Entrust to install root certificate

I'm setting up my 7.2 (9) ASA 5520 to use WebVPN to access a Citrix presentation server and closes. I ordered and installed an Entrust Certificate. Now, I have to add the root certificate. When I try, the ASA invites me for a serial number. I tried to enter the serial number and the ASA answers she wants the SN in hexadecimal.

What is a procedure to follow to install a root certificate with the CA signed cert Entrust?

To use mutual Group authentication, you need a root certificate that is compatible with the central-site VPN installed on your system. Your network administrator can load a certificate root on your system during installation. When you select the mutual Group authentication, the Client VPN software checks if you have installed a root certificate. If this isn't the case, it asks you to install a.

  • Download iOS 10 update once for installation on multiple devices via iTunes?

I think remember me that it was possible and it was the best way. When I Googled it I am surprised to find there is no recent information on this (last year, although there are responses from 2012). I think this means 'no', but have not found the answer either.

Then, download iOS updated once for installation on multiple devices via iTunes? As many people have multiple iOS devices that's probably a good idea.

    Almost certainly not.

Each version of the product Apple has its own download.
