Update KP97-1033 has detected an invalid copy of Windows 7

I bought a new laptop from Best Buy with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit with a sticker on the bottom already installed key code.  While in Thailand a few months ago, I got another copy of Windows 7 installed by a computer repair shop because I had problems.  Now, I get a message that my Windows 7 is not genuine and I want to do something about it.  My valid key code is available.

My question is - can I download a genuine copy of Windows 7 and use the previous code for validation?  If not, can someone offer advice as to what the most cost-effective way to deal with this there?

The message that I said my Windows 7 services will soon be affected if I activate it with a code valid.

I am now in a small town in Mexico with very limited access to the purchase of software.

MUCHAS gracias.

so, you are allowed to Home Premium. you have ultimate installed. a home edition premium... will work not for ultimate. you need to install home premium and use your key home premium to activate it.

    INX dependent scripts.

If your plugin adds persisted data that you are now missing, you must implement the script to have the data to support the INX round trip.

In case you don't want to open your ordinary scripting features, there are ways to limit them to INX.

You should also review your code, the assertion means that even you are referencing an object of the UID that is already deleted.

I'm afraid that someone will end you in completely in the wrong direction on this. The recovery media is probably completely OK.

The HP SLIC has absolutely nothing to do with the windows you are trying to install, but stands in the BIOS of the laptop. Someone hacked the BIOS Acer to tell windows antifeatures of piracy which is HP laptop, presumably so that they could use HP media instead. Reinstalling Windows will not fix the BIOS.

All I can suggest is to download the Acer BIOS update files and try and install one to replace the SLIC entry. There is however 2 caveats to that. 1stly that the damaged area is not always included in the files to update the standard BIOS, so if you can run a BIOS update may not solve the problem. 2ndly some BIOS update programs you cannot install an older than the currently installed BIOS and one that fits in a first time (because it can be complete) would be the version original factory.

It's not all just Microsoft to blame for this issue when it was caused by someone trying to circumvent the measures to combat software piracy that any developer has the right to use. As said from your description that it is only a problem due to fraudulent activity.

Also when you are communicating on this forum you're not dealing with Microsoft, all the people here are voluntary and have no direct involvement with Microsoft to help posters like you.

  • Windows 7 has become "not a copy genuine windows 7" after that I upgraded to 10 and downgraded to 7.

I bought my HP Pavilion windows 7 Tiger pawn in Columbia, Missouri in 2013. I have upgraded to windows 10 in 2015 or 2016 at first (without free of Microsoft Update), didn't like it not and downgraded to 7. Since then there has been a "not a copy genuine windows 7" displayed in the lower corner to Rt. After I responded to solve it 'now' I did know that I have to pay for the downgrade. I found the product key # by 'JellyBean' but it wouldn't work. I contacted Microsoft who sent me to HP that stated that this laptop was made in Middle East and could not help me. (The keyboard is equipped for English and Iranian, I think. I cannot download IE and can't find answers from Microsoft because apparently I don't have a genuine copy of Windows 7! Heck, this computer hp pavillion laptop has windows 7 when I bought it! I even called Tiger pawn and they told me that it was purchased without the installation disk. Help! At the start, I always have this horrible "DNSunlocker" virus/malware.

    Hello Sharon,

To remove this DNSunlocker, please follow the steps posted by ball the on this link.

  • Windows 7 is activated but randomly has "...". copy of windows is not genuine

Win 7 oem purchased 2 years ago from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia is to install the new homebrew system.  Yesterday, I saw the «...» "Build 7600 this copy not genuine."  After the installation of sp1, it changed to build 7601.  The message comes and goes, but I'm worried about why she does first place and if there will be problems in the future.    How can we not real if it has been activated, actually several activations since I don't mess with my system.  All the components in my system are the same as when I first installed 7 except for the HDD in SATA instead of PATA.  I have a newly installed VMware player and that you have disabled recently several services.  Shows/properties of the windows computer is activated and the product id.  Since these "opinions" I uninstalled it thinking sp1 would have a prob but no luck.  'cures' will be appreciated.  Thanx

I got this a few times.  It is caused by not only not your PC connected to the Internet when Windows 7 is 'automatically' audit of the validation at boot time.  Somehow, your Internet access came well after the validation process.

  • Can not install the new copy of windows xp home edition

A friend has built a computer for me and my friend it works for me.  Everything goes ok, then it stops working because the friend has installed a pirated copy of Windows XP Professional on this topic.  OK, I'm a little angry, but I can cope.  I had bought a new copy, never been used before, Windows XP Home Edition a couple of years to my old copy that I ended up not using.  When this happened, I thought it would be great, I could install that.  So, I turn on my new computer and let it boot.  When it comes to the screen, saying that I don't have an authentic copy of Windows installed, I open my CD drive, and then press the button so he can go back into the computer.  I have no mouse or keyboard control so I can't select all and nothing happens after that the disk will inside.  Nothing, I can't even hear anything running.   I would try to solve this problem without having to take Office Depot where they charge me $ 99 for "try" to fix it.  I don't have a job, so fix me it is my only option.  Any help out there in the cyberland?  Thanks for any help.  I'm on my dad's computer if you're wondering how I'm even able to send this way.  Laughing out loud

I do not understand what you're doing or why nothing seems to happen, but the fundamental question that you have, it's that you cannot "upgrade" from XP Pro to XP Home.

Assuming you can still start Windows (even if you get the notice that it is not authentic), copy all your data on some external support (external drive, USB flash, CD, DVD) and then perform a new installation of XP Home.  Once Windows is installed, you need to restore these data and you will need to re - install applications (programs) that you have installed (for example, Microsoft Office), so you'll need to find the installation for the applications media.

Because it is a home-built computer, you must obtain all the necessary drivers on the web sites of various hardware manufacturers.  Most likely you will need are motherboard (chip), display (video), (audio), network (including wireless and modem) and any device (e.g., printers).

Use the computer that you use to post here in order to download drivers and save them to a flash drive or burn them on a CD.

I guess that your boyfriend (ex?) didn't give you all the documents with the computer (e.g., the motherboard manual or manuals for other equipment he installed).  If you can enter in your current Windows installation, click Start > run > msinfo32 > OK.  Click on the 'Components' category and look at the different devices to determine their models and manufacturers.  Motherboard information (you need to get the drivers of chip set) is not indicated in msinfo32.  Use BelArc Advisor (free)

How to do a clean install of XP:

    http://www.theeldergeek.com/xp_home_install_-_graphic.htm
    http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html

Don't forget - when installing from a Windows XP CD, you'll probably not the current service pack (service pack 3) and you will certainly not have current security patches.  You too have an antivirus.  Get instant access to Windows Update (do not go to other websites) and download critical updates.  Probably, this will take time and may require several reboots and go back to Windows Update.  When all updates have been installed, install an antivirus.

If you are willing to pay for an anti-virus, eSet NOD antivirus (not the "suite").  Otherwise, I suggest Microsoft Security Essentials or Avira AntiVir Personal.  At some point after that things are settled down, you should also get the free versions of MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware.  You don't need the "pro version" that work all the time; You must only update and run these scanners on a periodic basis just to be sure that you have not picked up a malware that is slipped beyond your anti-virus.

  • Fake copy of Windows 7 (Home Premium)

    Good afternoon

It's time for me to reach out to the Microsoft community, about 2 weeks ago, that my copy of Win 7 Home Premium has failed. My copy of Windows 7 Edition Family Premium is a legitimate copy and all the programs that I've always bought a copy is legitimate if it Microsoft Office, XP, 7 or even 8, to avoid any problems. Now, my version of Windows 7 Home Premium is the same on my laptop and my desktop, using the same product key, my laptop now errors saying that I have a counterfeit copy of Windows 7 and is not a copy authentic, even try to reinstall from the same primary drive will not accept the product key. It is simply outrageous that we are making an investment in our computers and in this case, and we cannot even go back to Microsoft. I am so frustrated that it happened and have run out of ideas on what to do and I can't afford to buy a new copy of Windows 7 and DO NOT in Windows 8. Can I do to have my laptop about how it wasn't pop ups saying that my copy of Windows is not genuine and it's fake? Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thank you!!

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

    fl0bot,
The message you are getting means that there is some corrupt system files that could not be fixed.  If you look in the CBS.log file , it should tell you which files.  When you do that, you can try to replace the corrupt files.  However this seems to happen whenever you update it a game then you will need to contact their support for aid as this can be a problem for them.  Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

Today 26 Nov 15 just after I started the PC, a message flashed on my screen upwards, it was too fast to read.  Alerted, I then checked the updates only to find code 80244019 error came. (My preferred option is to check the updates, and install myself. I checked on MS for the details of the error & followed the instructions. It is to restart in safe mode, run scan etc etc.  My antivirus detected nothing. I also ran malwarebytes tool as well. (Even once, nothing detected).  After several reboots, I finally got the system to check updates. (Hooray!

and now, it says "Windows is up to date, but I noticed that the last update is displayed as 11/11/15, with no updates since that date (8 days).»

How can I check that the system tells me the truth and there has been no update at this time?

This computer is configured with the same settings as you describe. The last update here was KB3097877 November 12, 2015.  You can get an update earlier but I don't anticipate new updates until 8 December 2015.

Yes the sticker of the product keys match the diagnostic report. I've been running this product for more than two years and now all of a sudden it is not valid?
I recently had a problem with hard drive with this machine and had to reinstall the system and restore data from a backup. Is it possible that this has some how changed the PID at the origin of this problem?

If I have no choice but to buy a new OS can spend to Win 8 or will I run into a question?

As I said before, "No matter how long he ran 'okay'..." »

Copies MSDN work very well - until Microsoft discovers that they have been used in a way not scheduled (they are sold by unscrupulous people who probably to sell at an attractive price in comparison to other copies - a lot of people don't care about questioning why they might be cheaper.)  Others may sell at the same price and make more money before disappearing).

You have an MSDN copy.  Your PID has not been changed by restoring the backup.  ;-)

You can try changing your product key of Windows 7 than on the sticker:
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/osproductkeys/HT/change-Windows-7-key.htm

Then try to activate by phone:
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/18715-activate-Windows-7-phone.html

And come back to report to what past.

What operating system do you have on the laptop before? You can get a Windows 8 upgrade for that - but I would not honestly - recommend it because the difference is quite obvious and you haven't checked your software and hardware is supported on Windows 8, I know. My recommendation for Windows 8 is to use * if * the system you have came from the manufacturer with it pre-installed. :-)

  • Windows 7 Build 7601, the copy of windows is not genuine. It has been true for about 3 years already.

Hello. A week ago, my phone displays a message saying that my Windows is not genuine. I bought the brand new laptop and I installed win7, it was all working fine so far. At first, I thought it was just a bug, so I tried to update, but the updates do not install. I saw in some discussion above to check under my laptop for a joint, but it disappeared and I can't read the number to legitimize my copy of Windows. It also displays a message in the lower right corner indicating "Windows 7 Build 7601, the copy of Windows is not genuine." This question annoys me because it slows down my laptop already slow, and I can't work normally like this. Help, please.

EDIT: I'm not sure how to find the Diagnostic report that is often required to determine the problem, so no instructions would be useful.
EDIT 2: I forgot to mention that I've scanned with 3 different anti-virus, I think they have removed all the malicious files, I had, which was maybe 2 files of average risk. Scanned with Norton, ESET and Kaspersky.

  • Satellite U300-13U - iTunes has detected a problem with the audio configuration

Please can someone help me? I have a laptop U300-13U and that you have installed iTunes on it. However, when I open iTunes I get an error message saying 'iTunes has detected a problem with the audio configuration and may not play correctly' which is an understatement - it does not at all!

I uninstalled, reinstalled iTunes and Quicktime, but in vain. I have searched and exhausted the iTunes support boards but have nowhere either. The sound is fine as I can read CDs with no problems at all. The only suggestion I can get is that there may be a problem with the audio device magnet is not Apple and vice versa.

Does anyone have AN idea at all as to what might be going on here? I'm completely out of my depth, I'm just a simple girl who wants to play his music!

    Thank you so much.

    Hello

I don t use iTunes so I m not an expert player but first of all, you must give us some important information:
-What operating system do you use?
-Are you using the factory settings (Toshiba Recovery disk) or your own version of Windows
-Do you have the yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager?

OK, iTunes says that there is an audio configuration problem so do you trying to update the audio driver? If this isn't the case, you should try it.
See the Web from Toshiba site for an update and see what happens. Then validate your result:

  • Update the BIOS has a Trojan horse

I have been a problem with my computer and finally was the wick of the ball and update to the latest BIOS version when I was arrested by the McAfee anti-virus.  I have a HP Pavilion model number a6257c.  At present, it has BIOS rev 5.21.  The most recent BIOS rev on the HP website is 5.23 (for this model of computer).  After you download the sp37378.exe file, I double clicked it.  In these conditions, frustrated by the other problem I had (which I'll detail in the portage on the other), I forgot to disable the McAfee real-time analysis.  Just before I was on the click the OK button to continue with the upgrade of the BIOS, a window of McAfee popped-up informing me that it has detected a Trojan horse on my system.  Knowing that the only thing I did was upgrading the BIOS, I abandoned the upgrade of BIOS to investigate the message from McAfee.  Of course, check the McAfee log, he showed that in the flash.exe (created when I double click on the sp37378.exe file) contained a "Trojan" called "New Maleware.jj" following the links displayed in the journal of McAfee, I found this web page: http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_153095.htm.  It is listed as a threat of "Low".

So now finally my question, is it planned in the upgrade of the HP BIOS?

I downloaded the BIOS file and scanned with AVG - no viruses. I extracted the temp files and scanned the files checked - no viruses.
