ProBook 6570b - are the CPU & GPU extensible?

Hi, I bought a refurbished Probook 6570b running Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. It seems it does not come with the cpu core but rather a celeron B840 1.9 GHz, not more, it has a discrete graphics unit.

My question is this. The CPU & GPU are scalable?

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

The CPU is extensible. According to the HP product bulletin the following shall be supported:

3rd generation Intel® Core™ i7 - 3540M (3.0 GHz, 4 MB L3 cache, 35W, 2 hearts) *.

    Hey

I have one in my possession and I wanted to make a good game.

Any1 know what hard drives are compatible with what I can use which are good for games?

    Hello!

I m wondering that you want to upgrade this old notebook. In my view, that a new laptop would be a better solution.

On the CPU and GPU upgrade I can only say s is not possible and not Toshiba support. The GPU is soldered on the motherboard and t can be exchanged.
I think you should read this: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

AFAIK the A35 Satellite is equipped with a s IDE HDD and this means that you buy a drive HARD IDE interface up to 128 GB.

  • DV7-7230us mother of HP Envy and replacement of the CPU card

Unfortunately the notebooks has dropped and the screen broke. The machine was at the time. Also the CPU/GPU or motherboard was fried after the fall. As a result, I bought a new screen, the motherboard and the processor. The only thing different from the original installation is the processor. I upgraded to an AMD A8 to the A10. The service manual is the upgrade. My question is, when I start to restore the existing hard drive, 750g Seagate hybrid, with the original system restore dvd discs that will work? I read that these discs only recognize original equipment. Luckily I have the original hard disk with the original operating system factory and the software installed on it. This drive was almost never used so it is still in its original state. Does anyone know if I need to clone a hybrid disc, or it will allow me to reinstall the factory operating system and software? I cloned the hybrid when I first installed and did not bother trying the restore disks. Any power coming back here?  Thank you.

    Al Hebert

    Hi Al,.

I saw your post about your recovery questions. I saw mixed results during the use of recovery with hybrid disks and solid state disks. You are right, you need the original material then I would try the clone you have created everything first and see how it goes.

  • Final output rendering: CPU vs CPU + GPU

    Hallo,

I would use my Nvidia GPU to speed up the rendering of the final output of the projects of Premiere Pro and After Effects to Adobe Media Encoder. Now as far as I know, which allows the GPU acceleration for rendering of the final output in the AMEncoder really accelerating him process significantly. But I have a question about the quality of the production. The addition of acceleration GPU has an influence on the quality of the final result make? I read on some for a comment indicating that only using the CPU for the final rendered result gives results of superior quality, then when using the CPU + GPU acceleration combined? But on some other blogs I actually found that adding statements to process the two GPU speeds up the time required (becomes much faster), and actually increases the quality of the result final render?

Does anyone know if there is a difference in quality between CPU vs CPU + GPU rendering to final output? I'm working on a 64 bit Windows 7 computer)

    Thanks in advance,

    Sebastiaan

GPU accelerated export is expected to equal or exceed the software quality in all cases

  • Pavilion g6 - 2217cl: the HP Pavilion g6 - 2217cl RAM and CPU/GPU upgrade

    Hey there, I am looking to upgrade the RAM and CPU/GPU on my G6 Pavilion. Here's my current characteristics;

    Laptop model: HP Pavilion G6 - 2217cl

    Operating system: Windows 10 family (x 64)

Current RAM: 6 GB (used 2 slots)

CPU/GPU: AMD A8 - 4500 APU with Radeon HD graphics card

What are the possibilities should I upgrade?

If more information is needed, I'll be happy to provide.

It supports up to 8 GB of memory and the processor can be upgraded to a 10 - 4600M. Here is the Manual:

    Manual

There is no video card to upgrade, but for the models of series AMD A video is contained in the processor itself and an upgrade of the processor also carries with it an upgrade for HD 7640 G HD 7660 G video. It's light but a bit noticeable and clock speed go from 2.8 ghz to 3.2 ghz, which is not huge but noticeable. Memory is a DDR3-1600 module, and you can replace your 2 gig with a 4 gig to spend 6 to 8.

Memory upgrade is as easy as... CPU/APU don't upgrade not so much.

The processor socket type is FS1-uPGA or first-generation FS1 I think

Your current processor is part of the series "LLano" Mobile AMD processors

You can select from the following list of processors LLano. Processors Trinity and Richland are 2nd and 3rd generation and use a socket FP2 and FS1R2

  • What is the maximum CPU/GPU temperature safe for a 7212nr?

When game Unreal Tournament 3 or Battlefield Bad Company 2 CPU reaches 90 ~ 92 degrees centigrade and GPU 80.

What is considered 'safe' or 'normal' temperature for this laptop?

    I mean "without danger" for:

    -Avoid a shutdown.

    -Avoid damage BGA.

    -Other bad things.

    Thank you.

These temperatures are hot enough, especially the CPU, once it starts to get close to 100 ° C, the processor will be throttle, slow down to avoid heat damage. If it cannot speed up, the computer will shut down to avoid frying the chip.

If it is not under warranty, you may apply the thermal paste yourself and Yes. From my experience, the factory thermal paste is not enough. In fact, they use the dough, they used tampons. If you feel dangerous to do it yourself, take it to someone.

If this isn't the case, buy you some arctic silver 5 and apply it. I say, if it starts to get into the middle of the 1980s, it's not too hot.

  • Broadwell CPU/GPU in the new iMac 21 inches will meet the system requirements? Or is a dedicated GPU still necessary/preferred?

You are right on the use of 21-inch Broadwell. I missed that part of myself. The GPU acceleration is where the handle of the GPU of some framework aspects during the processing of image data in real-time or rendering. In the case of Adobe the GPU handle scale IE a resolution, interpolation and some FX. Those who normally take a significant amount of CPU resources by image that makes discharging them to the much more efficient GPU for the amount of data processed at the same time. This allows the CPU to focus on the decoding and encoding of data, which can take significant resources according to the multimedia codecs. Adobe added some acceleration for some Intel GPU a while back, but I don't know if this includes I7 Gen 5 or 6 Gen Intel GPU underway and those who. If it's not that I think it not then using Intel or AMD won't matter that acceleration is turned off. AMD open CL would allow much better performance edition in the future when Adobe finally cleans the Open CL.

  • iMac restarts after 5 minutes of the heavy load of CPU/GPU and noisy fan

    Hello

My iMac (late 2012 if I remember) restarts when under heavy load for a while.

I work a lot with Final Cut Pro X.

Whenever I have add clips in an event, Final Cut allows you to copy and then transcode and analyze the clips, and this task's CPU/GPU intensive (Final Cut Pro X uses OpenCL, where CPU/GPU). After a few seconds, the iMac fan begins to be really strong and seems to reach its maximum speed.

Then, after a few minutes of this heavy burden, the iMac simply restarts, and the fan slows down and stop. After the reboot, everything is back to normal, with the exception of the warning illustrated by Mac OS X, who said that the closure was not planned.

I'm sure that this behavior is not normal. I don't see why a computer should reboot/crash when under heavy load.

Note: you can also, to transcode some clips or movies I used the excellent software called Handbrake, using CPU only encoder ffmpeg, and I don't remember having accidents even if the CPU has been loaded and FAN running loud too. So maybe it has something to do with GPU?

How can I understand what is happening?

    Thank you very much.
