Update rule deadline?

Anyone know if there is a limit of rule of breast and updated updated updated set of rules in E9?

Thank you

Vince

Not sure

My rule to update the country has rules to more than 300.

And the countries in the region of 240.

They all run well.

  • When will update rules for lead Source - Original trigger?

I'm just some work to fine tune our SFDC integration settings.

We have a rule Eloqua that is updated the 'Source of lead - field Original"with the value of"License Source - Most Recent"where the original field is null.  Now I know this rule fires when data are posted from a form, but I don't know what would happen if the latest data came from SFDC.

For example, one of our sales team creates a new track and enter a value in the Source of lead - most recent field.  Eloqua will create the contact and find out the newest field in the source, but my question is the rule triggers the update the original field?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer this!

    Alan

It does not trigger as it would on a form, but you can build a program to find the newly created contacts who have an empty field "lead Source - Original" and run an update rule to fill.

  • Updating rules - values inclusive or exclusive?

Update of the Eloqua rules, if you do the conditional rule and place it between two values for example 10 and 20, does anyone know if this update rule is then including 10 and 20 or out of them, that is only the values of counts of 11-19? My first test suggest that they are excluding the two numbers put you between, but was wondering if anyone else had found out about it?

In my view, that they are mutually exclusive.

  • Error when you try to install the updates to rules

    Hello

I face below, the error message when you try to inject the new updates to the rules. Namely: Sourcefire_Rule_Update-2016-02-18-003-vrt.sh

All the solutions on this one? For more information, I downloaded the file from the site and the name of the file has not been changed.

    Hi Tarik,

I've seen this error when you use Internet Explorer to manually import the update rule.

You can try a different browser supported.

The release notes for the version that you are using will have the information of supported browser.

  • Rules update API in bulk?

    Hello

I currently have my import Setup to always use the update rule, but it seems to me to be better to use the rule to update IfNewIsNotNull for some fields.

Y at - there no way to set different update rules for different areas or importation of any should use the same rule?

I saw the update rule FieldRule import, but I don't know if this is for the Type field.

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

You can accomplish this by using the following update rule: 'useFieldRule '. The import will use the default update logic applied to each field.

To access field properties, click Setup, fields and views, and then select a Contact field.

Note that each Contact field contains its own default update logic:

Hope this helps and please let me know if you need more information.

  • How to convert a set of rules to update a rule update shared?

I created a set of update rules in the Tools section of the E10 data, but it does not appear in the list of rules to update shared and so I am unable to use it in the stages of treatment for my forms (even if I can still use it in programs).  Anyone know how I can convert my update rule set in the Tools section of data in a rule to update shared without having to recreate?

    Thank you very much.

Just to clarify this was always so even when she was just E9. Rules update form could never be used in the program generator and updated program rules Builder could never be used in forms. Several times I was caught swearing on my screen because of this, especially when I was brand new to Eloqua and has just completed the construction of a massive update rule in the WRONG section.

Here is some information on why they were different and are always different.

In a program, you have a contact into step - the update will unfold on the contact which is the step at a time. If you look at a program generator update rule it doesn't let you not specify criteria for 'research', example of email address because he knows that it will be applied to, the person in the step at the present time.

A form update rule has a criterion of "research", usually the email address. A person submits a form, they give you their email address, the update rule needs to know what field should we use to make a match in the entire database to find out who it should be updated. You can also not use same email address, you can use other unique identifiers or a combination of different areas.

In my view, there are a few other differences with the two types of update rules, I think you can make some types of joint and date stamping in one where the other you can't, I don't remember the exact details but I think that there are a few minor differences.

In this context, it does not mean always, they must be different, it would be amazing if you could use the same update rule in the program as well as the forms generator or at least copy a rule to update the forms in the format program generator, as a kind of conversion, where a person made a mistake not that it never happens.

  • Update the Bios of the HP6710B. F08 to F20

    Hi all

    First post.

Owning a laptop HP/Compaq 6710 b years and never needed to upgrade the bios. Just updated the 1 GB of RAM 2 x 2 GB and there is no State that 2.99 GB, so thought maybe I should update my bios.

I need to upgrade through the sequence F09, F10, F11, etc. until F20... or is F20 a cumulative update contains all of the intermediate improvements?

    Thank you

    Ross

There is really no advantage to the update of the BIOS in your case, but there is a risk of a BIOS update goes wrong. A BIOS update that went wrong could leave you with a PC that does more boot in Windows.

The following pictures show what each update regarding improvements. As you can see, there is no improvement relating to what you asked about. It's safe to update rule only when there is a good reason.

Your operating system only grateful @ 3 GB of RAM is actually the standard for a 32-bit Windows operating system. That said, there is nothing wrong with what your PC reports that available memory.

  • SourceFire IPS updates

We are developing a new firewall with IPS SFP modules in them that will be managed by an application of SourceFire Security Center (1500 series)

I know with the old IPS systems, modules would get their updates of signature directly. Now they get their updates of software and signature of the Management Server? (this would make things a lot easier)

  • Problem with the rules after upgrade of the VM in foglight cartridge

    Hello

There is a small problem with the rules after that I updated the VM cartridge level.

In the default rules, I changed a few settings so that they will act as I need.

However, each time I upgrade VM cartridge my rules are off and marked as backup.

The question is: is there a way to upgrade the cartridge and keep my active rules after upgrading?

    Best regards

    Victor

This is the normal behavior according to this KB article

    105872 knowledge article

    • Title

Backup rules fill in the dashboard management rule after Foglight upgraded
    • Description

After that an upgrade of Foglight was conducted, several backup rules are created for rules that have been published before the upgrade. For example:

      Cluster VMW IO network
      Cluster VMW IO network (backup)

    • Resolution

During the upgrade procedure, the FMS has detected that some of the original rules have been changed in some way. It copies the rules previously upgraded in backups, before trying to merge the contents of the update rule in the former.

Assuming that the FMS works as expected, the rules of backup can be deleted. However, it is best to confirm this in the respect of the rules first before making deletions.

When editing rules, particularly rules OOTB (out of the box), it is recommended to copy the original rule, disable the original rule and edit the copied rule. This should reduce the risk of the problem described in this Article.

  • Contact field to update based on form selections

    Hello

I have a form preferably of the customer (which I heavily customized it) where a customer can select what they are interested in us with 2 boxes of custom field.  Based on their combination of selections that then, I need to update a contact field "Pavilion".

    for example:

    checked 1 + 2, flag = N

    checked only, indicator 1 = M

    checked the only, indicator 2 = E

    None verified, flag = B

In the normal universe I would do just that with Javascript onclick, however, because I want to use 'The Population form' that I have to use a landing page not HTML, paste my code using snippets of html code that does not support the onclick or glorious onsubmit or other such functions javascript (this is to the best of my knowledge, based on my experience in the last month If I'm wrong, please put me right!  I'd love to do all this in the pure HTML form and have the 'form Population'!)

I am appearing only still my way around Eloqua -, is there a way that I can do in the form of processing steps, or feed a program (I really only learned about 2 days ago, so would need a direction here), or update rules (again, would need advice) or something else that I don't even know not exist?

    See you soon

    Sandie

    Hi Sandie,

I guess you can achieve through measures of processing of forms.

Suppose you have two boxes below (if it is a single checkbox that would make it even easier to reach):

Now in the stages of processing of forms, select 'Update Contacts - With Custom Values' and the name field of the contact that you want to update with the flag. As the next section, select the type of update to "Set to a value" as follows:

Now subordinate processing step according to the logic that you want to apply. For example, if you want to perform this step of treatment based on a combination of both ' case 1' & ' case 2' values, you can apply the logic as follows:

As the number of combinations of logic that you now add as many processing steps.

    Kind regards

  • Updated field

Eloqua has developed a standard out of the box called "change". Does anyone know how is it updated? Is it updated when a change is made to a field of contact regardless of the way in which information is passed in Eloqua (via a form, API, connector cloud etc.)?

    Thank you!

Yes - every time that a contact is updated (submitting a form, download list, update rule, cloud connector, API call, etc.). I think that it has not necessarily limited to a "change" of a well field. For example, if you downloaded the same data twice the field list updated the date will be updated for the download of the 2nd list independently to know whether all data has been changed. So it's more when a contact is 'touched' that 'changed '.

  • Update the internal event address field?

It seems that an internal event can only trigger an external call. Is it possible to have the internal event update to a contact field in addition to trigger the external call?

    Hi Tom

While an internal event cannot update a contact field, depending on what you are trying to accomplish, we can use update rules to fill the contact fields.

For example, if the 'event' is open e-mail, you can create a filter to capture all contacts who have opened one/all email, it fuels a program that will run a update rule to push a certain value in a particular contact field.

What is the use case? I'm sure we could find other solutions too.

  • E10: Split evenly the recipients in the dynamic content rule

I would use "wildcard pattern matches" Eloqua Contact ID in a rule to randomly and evenly distribute dynamic content among all recipients of e-mail.  However this option is not currently available (DDL understands exactly, contains, etc.).   Is there another way to randomly and evenly divide my population, or configure the wildcard characters for contact ID (for example, * 4?)   Exactly and Contains does not seem to work.  Thank you!

There is one thing that comes to mind when I think of your example.  The only way to get a true split must firstly, use the program generator.  If you are not familiar with it, think of it as Web of campaign in Advanced Mode, where each option is available.  Then run the percentage based routing to split your audience.  Then have a rule to update on the other side to set a value in Eloqua to set a value (T/F) for the A / B results.  Then send your program one step to send an email and because of the updated rule, you have created, you will be able to send a really dynamic from email of a split.

To make it more effective, I would field 'A' 'B' group and group so that you can re - use these fields for any email on the line.  Just make sure that the end of your program clears these fields to make it work.

  • Game not full screen

    Hello

When I open certain video games that have been made prior to Windows Vista (it seems that way), the video game will open, but there are black borders on the sides of my screen, and it is really hard to see what is happening in the game. On my other laptop computers that are running Windows XP, the games work fine. On another game that was made in 2007, I had the same problem but fixed it by changing the game at a higher resolution. The problem is, the older games are running in the highest resolution possible, and none of them have a resolution as high as the most recent games. Please help me!

    The games are:

    2001: Stumovik IL-2 1946

    2002: battlefield 1942

2007 (resolved): Medal of Honor Airborne

found the following on this in another thread:

You have some software related to your graphics card, such as ATI Catalyst Center?

You can check the solution in this topic: screen not dimensionnera lower resolutions to fill screen...

"If you try ATI Catalyst Control Center to follow this:

Go to the ATI Catalyst Control Center (by right-clicking on the desktop and choosing to go to the ATI Control Center), at the top left there will be a drop menu, click on it and choose "Office and poster" at the bottom of the screen right-click on the icon of your screen and choose "Configure," on the next screen select "scaling Options" tab You can then drag the updated rul up to 0% on the scale and you should see the screen change to cover the full screen.
