  Recently, I was installing a PC with LabVIEW, device drivers, etc..

  I got 15.0 FlexRIO and NI Update Service has not brought to my attention that FlexRIO 15.1.1 exists.  Had to google and download it manually; I know that some complain about programs to update Java and Microsoft as too intrusive, but generally, I would say that updater for NOR needs update.

  Team FlexRIO don't pass the exit of the new drivers on the Service update OR at least the new driver patched a major bug which needs to be brought to the attention of all users of FlexRIO.

This is a brand new Apple iMac computer, I went for the best to have a trouble-free operation (I hate LAGS). But the computer hangs out sometimes which is disappointing.   Try each of them in order. A test to see if the computer works properly:

  1. Reset the PRAM
  2. Reset the controller (SMC) system management
  3. Start the computer in Safe Mode, and then restart normally. It's slower than a standard home.
  4. Repair the disk by booting to the HD recovery immediately after that the chime press the command and R keys until the Utility Menu appears. Choose disk utility and click on the continue button. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) volume entry in the list to one side.  Click first aid button in the toolbar. Wait the fact button appear. Disk utility and return in the Utility Menu. Restart the computer from the Apple Menu.
  5. Download and install the update of OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 Combo.
  6. Reinstall OS X by booting from the Recovery HD using the command and R keys. When the Utility Menu appears, select reinstall OS X and then click on the continue button.

• Software update service: push updates to clients

  Hi all

  I just set up OS X 5.0 for the first time, so it is all quite new to me. Is it possible to get the OS updates from the server to clients registered? I read about the differences between the update server and software of caching, and since you can't run both at the same time and think the update service is more convenient if we consider only provide updates to OS X clients. My understanding is that users must apply the update on the app store, but is it possible to push updates to clients instead? Even a command would be useful, so I can run remote commands from the terminal on any client, but really, I'm open to any suggestion.

  Welcome to the forums.

  So, there's two ways to look at this issue.  You can "push" updates to customers or you can tell customers to "pull" updates.  Let's look at a few options.

  If you go the mentality of 'push', you must visit the Apple website and download individual installers or use a master machine to pull updates from the App Store.  Then, you can use tools from the Apple Remote Desktop to JAMF to deliver these updates for client devices.  It can exercise a level of control that determine only you, the doorman, where the devices are updated.  However, several updates require reboots if you need to be selective in your calendar, because you don't want to pull the rug out from under a user.  In addition, pushing updates to date still require local execution of the installation program.  If you do not have a command on all devices administrator account, you will not be able to allow installation.

  Now, you can also "pull" updates.  Indeed, this is what happens when you run the software update manually.  Ah, but there are options that you have found.  You can just pull everything Apple, but if you have a slow Internet connection and a lot of features, you can paralyze you.  You can deploy the software update server, but then you get everything from Apple for the past 8 years, that 90% you do not want.  Oh, and the software update server means that you need to customize each device with custom update path.  If you deploy portable computers, which means that they must be on your local network to get updates because the substitution is supported by a URL.  The last method is through caching server.  Caching server requires no customization of the client side and puts in cache only what you ask.  The first device application will require a download to Apple, but all subsequent devices can pull out of your cache server.  Very effective.

  So, you decide to enable a client 'pull' and realize that the caching server is probably the best way to do it.  Ah, but you still don't want to visit all the machines.  You can use the softwareupdate command-line tool to perform an audit of software across the entire fleet (softwareupdate man for more details).  For example, let's say you have 10 machines and you have Apple Remote Desktop.  You can send a Unix command for all 10 machines such as: softwareupdate-i - a

  That command will tell each machine to install (-i) all (-a) updates available.  You can also target specific updates so if you need to be selective (Apple released iTunes and an updated OS the same day and you don't want to push iTunes until you post the update of the OS for example).  softwareupdate-i NameOfiTunesUpdate.pkg.

• Windows 7, update services does not work

  I have a problem to update software in windows 7.

  I have a HP G72 laptop.

  I replaced my hard drive. 350GB, Western Digital 750Go digital West.

  -J' made an image of the C partitie (if it is 3 months, installed for the recovery partition, new updated worked after that).

  The new disk hard there however any possible updates of windows. (the bar is red on the left).

  -After that, I reinstalled the original image when the laptop was new (DVD image). Same result on updates.

  -Remove the folders from the dir c/windows/SoftwareDistibution, no results.

  -Checked the status of services: windows update is statred and in automatic mode.

  N ' tried microsoft 'Fix - it' no results.

  -updated the drivers intel, no results.

  -Downloaded System Update Readiness of windows to resolve the error (Windows6 1 - KB982018 - v3 - x 64). When installing, I get the error 0xc8000247. So I'm not able to install this software.

  Looked after errors in the CBS.log newspaper: found M²: cannot read the time value RptTime from the registry. [HRESULT = 0 X 80070490 ERROR_NOT_FOUND]

  Do a clean boot, without result.

  Does anyone know a solution to this problem.

  Windows 7, update services does not, RESOLVED.

  The problem occurs when you change your hard drive for a bigger, in my hard drive of the case a GB Western Digital 340 WD 750 GB drive hard.

  For the Windows automatic updates again you need update the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driverdriver. It will not be updated when you have intel check your drivers! For me, only the 9.5.6.1001 version worked. This driver can be found at http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02219204 .

Why does not the superior version is not clear to me.

• Update Service

  The Update Service error OR contact National Instruments.

  Service has worked in the past, so I don't know whether or not some kind of restrictions of the company have been hunted. I installed the latest version of NI Update Service, I have an internet connection and firewall have been disabled.

  The following error message appears in the log if I run the service update from the command line (niupdateservice-connect you FichierJournal.txt):

  Problem has been fixed. I think it was just a matter of licensing. My computer has been pointing to a disconnected license file which had expired recently. Now, the computer is authorized through our network.

  Why NI Update Service does not remove the unnecessary files after completing?

  Whenever NI Update Service is updated software he created a National Instruments\Installers directory with the download to extract. Maybe it's several hundred megabytes. After the software update installation these files are no longer used. They can be automatically deleted.

  Update service NOR recommend to install the patch f5 for the 2012 LabVIEW runtime engine. However, I have LabVIEW 2013 currently running on this computer and never had installed LabVIEW 2012.

  Details of the full patch for f5 patch are available in this knowledge base article. As a general statement, we encourage everyone to install the patches as soon as they are available through the Update Service, especially if they are marked as Urgent (it is not marked urgent). In this particular case, it is unlikely that you'll turn to all the problems solved by the f5 2012 SP1 hotfix since you use LabVIEW 2013.

  The reason why you see the update in the update service is LabVIEW 2013 installs several versions of the runtime LabVIEW, so Update Service sees that you have on 2012 Run-Time Engine installed and invites you to patch.

• A question when I updated the motorola update service

  Please help me friends, I've updated the morning today Motorola update service playstore app, but I'm not able to check the update in the framework > about phone > system update.
  When I check for the update it shows "system update is available in the home network only" Please give a guy of the solution

• Update Service connection problem

  I never use the Update Service program OR and find annoying in my environment.  That being said, today, that I giggled a little when I lit one of the testers linking 2013 SP1 Windows 7 x 64 and the sequel to developer.

  

  It is not retouched, I didn't take a screenshot.  Is this some kind of overflow or something?  Was that a problem has been corrected in later versions of the Update Service tool?

  EDIT: Just realized it is years 1.149, or would be January 1, 1900.

  This problem has been resolved or Update Service 14.0.

  When I started LabVIEW today I received a pop-up dialog box for Update Service OR who told me to install the following hotfixes: LabVIEW 2011 SP1 32-bit Patch and F1 2011 LabVIEW RT engine 5.6.1 F5 Patch. The tool has been run with the progress bar along when I tried to access the Help menu to learn more about what I was doing progress. I guess he had to go out on the internet and doing if I was told I needed administrator privileges to do and everything came out. So I don't think that 2 patches have been installed. First of all, I think, because he was such a company computer I should get administrator privileges to use this tool and install the updates.  But to do that I have to access this tool once more when I get administrator privileges and I have no idea how to access this tool once more - where is?  The help file have been without help. I went to the download area NOR and tried these patches and or the other could not be found!

  I have a problem with the installation of updates using Update Service. I was able to download all the updates, but I'm unable to install them. I got the following error.

  The update version is 2.3.0.70. I tried to run as administrator and disable the firewall, nothing has worked.

• Update service on 64-bit Windows 7: what is DN 2.0?

  Well, I finally fixed the update service OR so it can operate successfully on W7 (see here!)

  The installer tells me it

  Cannot install

  • DN 2.0 installer x 86 (Incompatible with the 64-bit platform).

  Well that's puzzling!

  • It is an essential element?
  • What happens if this can not be installed? Disadvantages?
  • Why no details? A product name 2 letter is not very descriptive.

  

  Sorry for the confusion.

  Windows Vista and Windows 7 64 bit are the two only 64-bit operating systems that support us and delivered both with .NET 2.0 is already installed.  Therefore, the .NET 2.0 framework included with Update Service NOT only supports 32-bit operating systems. We agree that this message should be removed from the summary for users of 64-bit screen in future versions avoid confusion.  Thanks for the comments.
