Update the Oracle Table

Hi all
I just updated a table in a flat file to oracle table source.
using the incremental update of IKM.
ODI throws an error saying that 'NO KEY IN your target error DECLRED'
I don't have permission to modify the table structure. should I please?

Thanks in advance,
Ido

Hello

Do you know which column can be used as a key for the comparison update?
If Yes, then you can select this column as the KEY in the ODI interface. It is not necessary to have this column that is marked as key in the database.

Thank you
Fati

  • ODI - read CSV file and write to the Oracle table

    Hello world

    After 4 years, I started to work again with ODI, and I'm completely lost.

    I need help, I don't know what to use for each step, interfaces, variables, procedures...

    What I have to do is the following:

    (1) reading a CSV file-> I have the topologies and the model defined

    (2) assess whether there is a field of this CSV file in TABLE A-> who do not exist in the table is ignored (I tried with an interface joining the csv with the TABLE model a model and recording the result in a temporary data store)

    Evaluate 3) I need to update TABLE C and if not I need to INSERT if another field that CSV exists in TABLE B-> if there

    Could someone help me with what use?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi how are you?

    You must:

    Create an interface with the CSV template in the source and a RDBM table in the target (I'll assume you are using Oracle). Any type of filter or the transformation must be defined to be run in the stadium. (you must use a LKM for SQL file and add an IKM Sql control (it is best to trim them and insert the data when it cames to a file if you want after this process, you may have an incremental update to maintain history or something like that).)

    For validation, you will use a reference constraints in the model of the oracle table: (for this you need a CKM Oracle to check constraints)

    Then, you must select the table that you sponsor and in the column, you choose which column you will match.

    To article 3, you repeat the above process.

    And that's all. Pretty easy. If you do not have the two tables that you need to use your validation that you need to load before loading the CSV file you need valid.

    Hope this can help you

    I like to write PLSQL code that will receive these data with XML tags and insert it into the Oracle Table. Is this possible with built-in XML features provided in the Oracle database?

    Please Guide...

    Kind regards
    Priyanka

    But the problem is the file XML is to have the details of the records if you carefully observed the XML file. But by using more high statement select I get output in the following format.
    ORG_ID REQ_LINE PO_NUMBER EXPECTED_REC_QTY USER_NAME REQ_NUMBER
    204204 1444714450 11 64446445 11 OPERATIONSOPERATIONS

    The table has only one row, so you get a single row as output.
    I'm surprised that you find useful examples showing how to divide the data into several lines.

    (1) create the table with the following option, it will optimize the performance of storage and query for large XML documents:

    CREATE TABLE xxios_xml_data_test(xml_data XMLTYPE)
    XMLTYPE COLUMN xml_data STORE AS SECUREFILE BINARY XML
    ;

    (2) interview table with:

    SQL> select x.*
      2  from xxios_xml_data_test t
      3     , xmltable(
      4         '/Results/Row'
      5         passing t.xml_data
      6         columns ORG_ID           number       path 'ORG_ID'
      7               , REQ_NUMBER       number       path 'REQ_NUMBER'
      8               , REQ_LINE         number       path 'REQ_LINE'
      9               , PO_NUMBER        number       path 'PO_NUMBER'
     10               , EXPECTED_REC_QTY number       path 'EXPECTED_REC_QTY'
     11               , USER_NAME        varchar2(30) path 'USER_NAME'
     12       ) x
     13  ;

        ORG_ID REQ_NUMBER   REQ_LINE  PO_NUMBER EXPECTED_REC_QTY USER_NAME
    ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------------- ------------------------------

  • Update the value Table B if table A the value of different

    Hi all
    I'm using Toad for Oracle and need assistance with a trigger. I have two tables tables A and B Table with some of the same fields. I want to only update the values in the array B, if the values in table A are not equal values in table B table A update. Don't update the record where the primary key of the Table equal to the foreign key in the Table B. I have a sample script below, I hope someone can give me an example, I can develop and test. Thanks for reading also.
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER AU_Table_A
    AFTER UPDATE ON Table_A
    FOR EACH ROW
    BEGIN
    If Table A :old.value != Table A :new.value
       then

    --Update Table B value with Table A updated value
       Table B :old.value = Table A :new.value
    where Table A primary key = Table B foreign key

    END IF;
    END;

    Hi Nikki,

    If I understand correctly, then maybe

    create or replace trigger au_table_a
      after update
      on table_a
      for each row
      when (old.value != new.value)
    begin
      update table_b
      set    table_b.value = :new.value
      where  table_b.foreign_key = :new.primary_key
          and table_b.value != :new.value;
    end au_table_a;
    /

    Note that the solution is not trying to handle NULL values. If you have NULL in to either A or B, we have to manage those specifically

  • CRUD using ADF fails to update the database table

    Hi all

    I am very new FAD and JDev. I use JDev 11.1.1.2.0 and oracle 10g DB.

    I created the necessary
    1 model, view, control files of data using JDev to a DB table control.
    2 .jspx file having a "Panel Accordin ' and a page layout"Panel formLayout"to display the fields in table required on the page."

    I use Panel corre layout to display data with buttons of browsers and works very well.
    In the the Panel layout form, after posting the fields I added the button 'submit '. I've linked this button with the operation "Commit" by drop and simple drag.
    PS: I've added the fields by simple drag / drop control of the data file maps to the table in question.

    The performance of the page I find things work fine until I want to use the submit button. It just updates the UI front, but when I check in my database table I find that it has not been updated.

    I am naïve. Pls Guide.

    Desperately waiting to get this resolved.

    The performance of the page I find things work fine until I want to use the submit button.

    See if your button submit has an EL expression in its property "disabled".
    Depending on how you want it, delete this EL expression or add partialTriggers button to make it refresh partially each time that a field can be changed on your page changes...
    (Assuming it's all ADF faces that you use. Also, see more here: Re: activate/register button )

  • Help with code to insert, and then update the form table.

But I call another procedure for updating the table with an "if" statement "The SQL code that I use works fine to get the data I'm looking for when I run it in SQL, but the 'if' statement updates all records in the table to ' n ' when some should be"Y". I am new to Oracle forms development (3 months) so it's probably very simple, but I'm stuck and need to get this finished form. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    There is no WHERE condition in your update, so always update you all THE RECORDS in your table. I guess it must be something like:

    UPDATE MM_1099 SET
      DUP_IRS_NOTICE = 'Y';
     WHERE TIN_FROM_DB=cr1.TIN_FROM_DB
       AND YEAR=cr1.YEAR

    Some general order questions about your code:
    Where your variables for your insert statement are filled? looking at your code they will always be NULL.
    Be careful when using the variable exactly as the names of column names. This may cause unexpected behavior (for example when it is used in the UPDATE statements).
    Why engage in the other branch, but not in the branch so?

    The big question you have, it is that the loop is completely and totally useless. What you can do in SQL, do in SQL - not to complicate things with PL/SQL that you don't need.

    FILE is a keyword from Oracle, so it's not a good name,

    Use FILEDATE, or DATE_FILED, or something else that is not in V$ RESERVED_WORDS. KEYWORD as the name column.

    If you need to use the FILE, then you must use quotation marks.

  • On the analysis of the oracle Tables, indexes

    Hi guru,.

    Thanks for the previous help.

    I have scenerio

    I have three table which is refreshed weekely (Truncate and load).

    I have to manually analyze using DBMS_STATS. GATHER_TABLE_STATS?

    My knowledge is when we insert frequently so only we analyze tables and their indexes.

    I'm using the Oracle version:

    1 oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64 bit Production

    2 PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.3.0 - Production

    3 "CORE 11.2.0.3.0 Production."

    Thnaks,

    truncation does not remove the object statistics:

    -11.2.0.1.

    create table t

    as

    Select rownum id

    of the double

    connect by level<=>

    SQL > exec dbms_stats.gather_table_stats (user, 't')

    PL/SQL-Prozedur been abgeschlossen.

    SQL > select num_rows, last_analyzed from user_tables where table_name = 't';

    NUM_ROWS LAST_ANA

    ---------- --------

    10000 16.04.14

    SQL > truncate table t;

    Tabelle mit TRUNCATED geleert.

    SQL > select num_rows, last_analyzed from user_tables where table_name = 't';

    NUM_ROWS LAST_ANA

    ---------- --------

    10000 16.04.14

    So if your table contains almost the same data after the operation of loading/truncate old statistics may be sufficient. But it is difficult to imagine you do a TRUNCATE/loading operation to re-import data - almost certainly is a good idea to gather statistics after the operation of loading/truncate, if you have the time and resources to do this.

  • Using the quick formula to update the pay_element_entry_values_f table

    Hi friends

    I have a requirement to substitute an input value of element with a value obtained from a quick formula.

    I know that formula quick results used to fill the table pay_run_results and pay_run_result_values.

    Is it possible that I can use the quick formula for updating the tables pay_element_entries_f and pay_element_entry_values_f

    Thank you

    Yes, you can do it.

    Just call a formula within your formula and in the service function, you can write the pl/sql code you want.

    So, you can use the input element in the pl/SQL API.

    Just note that even if the input values are updated that are not considered payroll (at the time of execution of the payroll)

    It would be only on the other (or additional payroll runs)

  • Change of address updates the Per_All_Assignments_F table Last_Update_Date

    I run a report with logic based on changes last_update_date on table per_all_assignments_f.
    Something that surprises me is that when we change detail address of the person. for example address line 1 only and no other changes, what it does is, it updates the field Last_Update_Date in the Per_All_Assignments_F table. We don't change any detail in Per_All_Assignments_F, but again whenever we change detail address, we found that the Per_All_Assignments_F table last_update_date has updated.

    Is there a link between the assignment and address or address change trigger some tax API that updates the field Last_Update_Date of the Per_All_Assignments_F table?

    Hello

    I'm not good at the technical aspect, but update the personal address of the employee should not affect PER_ALL_ASSIGNMENTS_F TABLE provided there is no trigger custom or defined alerts.

    You can use below two queries to know the same thing: -.

    Select * from apps. ALR_ALERTS where TABLE_NAME = 'PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F' and ENABLED_FLAG = 'Y ';
    SELECT trigger_name, table_name, status FROM dba_triggers WHERE table_name LIKE '% PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F % ';

    Also if the last_update_date is changed to per_all_assignemnts_f table, consult another column in the table is updated, this may give you some clues.

    BTW, what is your law. In Saudi Arabia, I have tested and it has no bearing on the PER_ALL_ASSIGNMENTS_F table.

    Thank you

  • How to upgrade the parent table and child by updating the parent table

    I have a parent EMPLOYEE table that includes columns (sysid, serviceno, employeename...) sysid is the primary key, serviceno is the Unique key and I have DEPENDENT child table includes columns (sysid, employee_sysid, name, date of birth...) there still SYSID is a primary key for the table of dependants, employee_sysid is a foreign key in the EMPLOYEE table.

    Now I want to change SYSID (with the help of the sequence) in the EMPLOYEE table that they want an update in the table of people dependent

    Note: I have 10000 records in the EMPLOYEE table as I have 5 more children tables that need to update new SYSID.

    Please help me

    first disable FOREIGN KEY constraints.
    You can update Parent and child record with the help of the trigger.
    Here I give you an examlpe... It can help u.

    create a parent (id number primary key, name varchar2 (100)) table
    /
    create table child_1 (primary key id, p_id number number, date of birth, date)
    CONSTRAINT FK_id FOREIGN KEY (p_id) REFERENCES parent (ID))
    /
    create table child_2 (key primary id, p_id2, addr varchar2 number number (1000))
    CONSTRAINT FK_id2 FOREIGN KEY (p_id2) REFERENCES parent (ID))
    /

    Insert some test data for the parent tables and children.

    change the constraint to disable child_2 table FK_id2
    /
    change the constraint to disable child_1 table FK_id2
    /

    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER delete_child
    BEFORE parent UPDATE ON
    FOR EACH LINE
    BEGIN
    UPDATE CHILD_1
    P_ID =:NEW.ID SET
    WHERE P_ID =:OLD.ID;
    UPDATE CHILD_2
    SET = P_ID2: NEW.ID
    WHERE P_ID2 =:OLD.ID;
    END;
    /

    then Upadte parent table primary key col and check the children tables.
    do enable constraints...
