• Problem of update in table form (after validation fails)

  Hello.

  I have a problem on the shape of tables using APEX 4.2.5.

  Application page has a table and a filter element to filter results in a table.

  The default value of this element is 0 (zero). This means that all the records are retrieved.

  SQL WHERE clause look like where deptno = decode(:P1_deptno,0,deptno,:P1_deptno)

  I created testcase: https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=4000

  W: nlzoh

  SUP: test01

  P: test

  The application name is A1.

  Everything works fine (insert and update), until there are validation error - due to an incorrect value in the column form.

  If I add by example in the second row (ename BLAKE) in the column WORK 1111 - so it would look like MANAGER1111 I get a validation error.

  Then I remove 1111 so validation would be ok, form insert 16 records (all). I is not updated that one record, it inserts all records.

  This allways happens after the validation error.

  
  

  When there is no validation error, changed row is updated as expected
  

  Insert also didn't happen, when there are value DEPTNO in filter.

  So the unexpected result is because of that where would adopt.

  
  

  So I have two questions.

  1. Why does it inserts all lines after the validation error? When there is no validation error, only the changed rows are updated - even if there is no DEPTNO in the filter.

  -Why modified column id drop apex?
  

  2. How can I change where clause, so iz will not work correctly.

• How do I update the table in Jdev

  I use Jdev 11.1.1.7.1.

  The control of data, I added that ADF only read the table. When I click on the button create and return to the report screen, highlight lines are added.

  Highlighted those who is not inserted into the DB table but he showed in the report. How to remove it. How can I update the table?

  That's what I got:

  -You have a table read-only, and a link to create.

  -When you press the link create a popup will be launched with a new record (may be a form in the same table iterator).

  -When you press save to save the changes validation triggers, stop you to insert the record.

  -After the fire of validation you will close the pop-up window (by pressing icon or by pressing Cancel).

  -After closure of the pop-up window, you will find that reading one table has some blank lines.

  If it is your problem if you have 2 choices:

  1. in the AppModule you can make a new instance on the view object (to which redirect the table) If your view object called 'EmployeesView', so, in AppModule, you should have EmployeeView1 and EmployeeView2 and your table may point to EmployeeView1, and when you create new line create in EmployeeView2 and after completing the creation you can run the query and then refresh the table (as shown in the following code).

  2 - the second option in the popup cancelListener link at the rear bean method then you can update the table by program as:

  i'im trying to update the two columns of table SUPPORT (SUPPORT_X, SUPPORT_Y) with two columns of table POST_HTA_BT (POSTHTABT_GPS_X, POSTHTABT_GPS_Y)

  Understand that the two tables have the colum below:

  SUPPORT (SUPPORT_ID, SUPPORT_PLAQUE, POSTHTABT_ID, SUPPORT_X, SUPPORT_Y,...)

  POST_HTA_BT (POSTHTABT_ID, POSTHTABT_GPS_X, POSTHTABT_GPS_Y,...)

  The SUPPORT_PLAQUE has type varachar. Except the keys, the other columns are varchar type in both tables.

  The point here is to update the support_x, support_y with posthtabt_gps_x and posthtabt_gps_y.But before the update we have Sheik if the fifth number of the support plate is a number of characters from "0" to "9"and the rest of the caracter of the support_plaque is '00000'

  Please note that the support_plaque is stored in the table with the form: "0025800000!"

  So I did the below script, I try to execute in sql develop.

  Hi all -
  I have not tried to reproduce this on apex.oracle.com yet, as I think that this may be a question easily answered:
  
  I have a page with an LOV, a graphic and a shape table all based on the same table. Everything has been working fine without any problems. Today, I updated the table using SQL Developer and introduced a few new lines in the table. The LOV and the graphic on my page reflect the new lines that were inserted through SQL, but the tabular form is not seeing them. When I select a value LOV that must return some new lines, my tabular report shows simply no found data. If I copy the SQL of the tabular report definition and run it in SQL Developer, all the appropriate lines are returned.
  
  Maybe I don't understand tabular forms. Any way to solve this problem or do I need to refresh the Page? Is the problem with the ID of the LINE or something?

  Useful is fine. I don't know if these things can be changed.

  Well, they say: ' it's always the last place you want! "? Some of them can make you tear your hair out.

  My approach is 1) to display as much data as possible to ensure that data values are what you think they are. Often, they are not. And, (2) 'believe the error message.

• DB trigger error - update even table in the script of the trigger

  I have a table tab1, whenever any update is done on this table on column col1 and col2 also needs to get the update. (These are related to user forms can be updated only col1 form frontend)
  So I created a trigger as follows.

  Your transaction_id is unique?

  If this is the case, then you could perhaps use AFTER UPDATE BEFORE UPDATE:

  BEGIN
     :NEW.col2 := 1;
  END;
  

  If your transaction_id is not unique - if you really want to update more than one line in tab1 - your update cannot update the same line that the trigger has responded, even with the use of an autonomous transaction. Then you could combine the BEFORE UPDATE trigger above with your own AFTER UPDATE, but then add ROWID! =: OLD. ROWID to where clause, but it would be a bad idea because some of your lines will be updated in a single transaction and others in another transaction.

  In general the autonomous transaction is not a great way to solve the problem of changing table within a trigger. I hope that you have a unique transaction_id and can do BEFORE the UPDATE - if it is then a better way is to save the update id in an overall picture in FOR EACH ROW triggers, and only then AFTER an UPDATE fire is NOT "for each line" update the list of saved IDs

  I am a new to apex and trying to implement a tabular apex that has only an editable field box and form two audit field. Last updated by and updated, I use the built-in tabular form Apex.
  
  Properly put form to update the field box to check and it works as it is supposed to be, the two audit field and Updated_by Update_date, I'm updating via slot table form and not updated.

  I need to update a table and also to insert into another table and want to do it in the same form. I can it will break in 2 different forms, but it is awkward for the user. Is there a way common to this address? As a backdrop, the user is updated the status of a message (IE, changing it from open to closed) and then provide an answer. The response table is separate from the table of messages because its format is doing different.

  You can do what you want in your form processing script. But for
  much more advanced than you must write your own code.

  Just curious: what is the difference? IMHO, there should be only one table
  for messages. Can you post more details about it?

• ScrollBar in table form

  Is it possible to put the region in a table for a height/width set with a vertical scroll bar, allowing users to scroll the rows if several lines appear that what is permitted for the height?
  
  If this is not possible, is it possible to have a region move with the page? For example, I have 2 regions on the page (display in 2 columns). A region is an updated report which shows 25 rows of data in a spreadsheet pre-filled the other region is a region which list availability that users can use to help determine the data for information entry in region 1. The tabular presentation requires scrolling to display all records if then the user loses sight of the valuable information contained in region 2.
