  This process works perfectly.  What I want to do now, is to detach from the same document with the click of a button.  I understand very basic javascript, but using the forum create the script above.  Can someone give me a solution (if it exists), to help me to detach the file attached by the user with the script above?   If you know the password and have access to Acrobat, then you should be able to remove the password of security. Just choose file > properties after you open the PDF file, then click on the Security tab in the Properties dialog box to change the security settings. Unfortunately, this is not something you can do in Reader.

  Right click on a box empty spots in your bar and select Properties, then select the option or "combine when taskbar is full".  This means that each document or file you have open will get its own key, as long as there is place so that it fits.
