Updated for InDesign 9.2 to 11 - I need 10 InDesign.

I've just updated to 11 InDesign, but I need to come back down to InDesign 10 so I can work on files with teammates who are unable to go to 11.
Can you tell me how to go back to version 10? The previous version I had installed was 9.2.

Update for InDesign 7.0.3 fails
I've selected "updates" and exit all applications, but that all other programs now updated successfully, InDesign couldn't be updated in 7.0.3. I rebooted and tried again. Bars back completely to 100%, but again, I received the notification of failure. The update said only that the update failed, nothing more.

I uninstall InDesign, and then reinstall it. Then, run programs up to 7.0.3.

Applications, (Norton and McAfee) are known to not uninstall (or upgraded) themselves. If you have not already done so:
1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe
2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).
3. double-click on the file that you saved in #1 above to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.
4. now to reset Windows Update via the difficulty it here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058
TIP: Run the difficulty in default and aggressive mode.
5 restart once again & test (see, for example, if Windows Update offers KB975560 and KB977914 after their installation once again, if you are prompted to do so).
6. update of security for Windows XP (KB975560) and/or update of security for Windows XP (KB977914) listed in Add/Remove programs now?

Update for Indesign CC &; CS6
When I did the update it asked me to close InDesign CC. After leaving the program Creative cloud would not recognize that InDesign had been closed. I restarted the computer and now the tab of creative cloud applications, I get this:

My Creative Cloud Deskop on Windows 8.1 application gets stuck on "waiting" when you try to update applications. Please help me understand how to get the download to start.
I have a Gigabyte P27.
8.1 Windows 64-bitand a full subscription of CC with Creative Cloud Desktop application as well (this is where I will have questions)
All my installed applications work fine. I'm enrolled correctly and synchronization also works very well.
-Very well, so after a lot of trouble trying to open Photoshop CC, go to help and updates it. This has opened a different kind of Application Manager, and when I invited to be updated, my UAC Windows asked the permission of the administrator and I said OK.
The files are now all the manual update. I'll fix the permissions in the OOBE folder, then remove the "run as Administrator" box of the update. Maybe it will work. I'm going to come back here to confirm that where someone always ends up this question.

Migrating to a new machine and want to know if there is a fix or upgrade so that I can run InDesign 2.0 on a mac running OS x 10.6.8.
unless you are entitled to an upgrade to cs2, no.
and I don't think indesign 2.0 owner entitles you to cs2.

I just updated my indesign to CC of CS5. One thing I notice which is annoying is some text boxes and images go live. For example, if you close a text box in CS5 you close the box you see reformat the text to set the new size. In CC, the text does not reformat until you are done change the size of the box. It's the same for the images when resizing or rotation re. You don't know what you have until its finished. If you are a little guess instead of see what you're doing while. Is there a way to change this, or does anyone else have this problem. Maybe it's just what does CC. But I'm not a fan... Can anyone help?

I get the update failure when I try and import plug-ins for Indesign for new DPS, even though I have updated the Application Manager. What can I try next?

The classic DPS plugins are not supported in CC2015. You go back to CC2014 for that. Only the new digital publishing Solution will be supported in CC2015.

Yes, you can create an update package using Adobe creative cloud packager and distribute via ARD, or you can configure the server to update from Adobe with the Remote Update Manager silently invoking the updates for the user. For more information see the article below.

I have since received information of a workaround - listed in a different thread: cannot install non-standard updates - can not update launch Adobe Digital Editions for InDesign CC 2014
To enable updates, follow these steps:
1) navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\AAMUpdaterInventory\1.0 and you will find a .dat (AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat) file.
(2) Please open the file in question and you will find a line item:
1 .(3) Please, change the value from 1 to 0 and save the file in the same location.
On a Mac, which is essentially the same, but location: / Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdaterInventory/1.0/AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat
It gave me additional advice that updates of the Toolbox for DPS are not available when you create the deployment package of Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition on Mac OS. (I think this may be the same using Creative Cloud Packager, as you found)

The article above suggests that you can download and install the DPS update silently, however, a user must be connected to the computer - not really feasible for enterprise environments.
So I guess the process because it would be:
(1) copy the contents of the PCG package update to the remote computer
(2) enable updates by modifying the AdobeUpdaterAdminPrefs.dat file
(3) remote to launch the DPS update mode silent (when someone is connected to the machine)
(4) turn off updates again when you are finished...

Creative cloud updates for after effects CC, CC InDesign, Premiere Pro CC and CC FAIL ALWAYS Prelude. Other updates arrive and install, but not those four. This happened more than three months. When Adobe will fix this?

I ran repair disk, I run permissions repair several times. I've disabled the creative cloud together apps and uninstalled and reinstalled and it's always the same.
Please fix this Adobe, or disclose information about how to solve this problem. I have to pay for that month and you are NOT fix every month.

Update of plugins for inDesign CS5
This has probably been discussed and respond before today, but I cannot find any mention other than a search, discovering dozens of torrents.
Often, I get a message I need to update my plugins in design but can't find a link to a download of adobe. Any help appreciated.
When you receive a message that you need to update the plugins when opening a file, this means that the file was saved in a newer version of InDesign that you use. It's a terrible message there are no updates to plugin update for this problem. Ask the person who provided the file to provide a file .idml instead (and expect losses of conversion), or upgrade to the correct version of the code.

Updated for Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator 6/18, now nothing does not open: error 16. None of the 16 fixed error using the Adobe PCD folder permissionms and SLS store work. Uninstall and reinstall do not work. Is on the phone with Adobe 5 times since that happened on June 18. Probalby spent 5 hours on the phone with 4 different tech. I'm waiting for a recall, but the guy Adobe told me that it will be 2 days. Other engine have this same problem... everything is resolved? Help!
PS - also made a new user account and tried to open with that, thinking it was a permissions problem. Always error 16. Frustrating... can not work if I don't have the software.
I found a solution on a post in the forum.
Installation of creative application Cloud Desktop caused my PS CS6 and applications of Cloud Photoshop CC go error 16. After trying just about everything, open the Terminal and type:
sudo chmod-r 777 library/Application\ Support / Adobe
instantly solves the problem.
I think I typed in my login pw also when he asked for it.
It worked for me also! After 8 days and 7 hours on the phone with Adobe, it worked. And no thanks Adobe... the tech support people 'high' of my case, but continued in havingme circles try the same thing with the same results: error 16. I was promised a call back 3 times and NEVER RECEIVED a reminder. I used to think strongly about Adobe and I look forward to the new release... no more. It is aggravating and costly for a professional designer go 8 days without being able to use the software, that we rely on. Kudo forum for suggesting a solution that works. Boo to Adobe for not to do so.
