• Flash and Shockwave Players problem?

  Had installed Flash and Shockwave without incident. All of a sudden, I started to see messages indicating that I need to be or to view a particular site. Checked "all programs" and any site on the list. However, programs appear in Control Panel under files to remove. Page from Adobe where you can check if a program is installed shows two installed programs. Restalling attempts appear successful, but still programs do not display in "All programs" and still receive messages that the programs must be installed. In Control Panel I see Adobe Flash Player11 Pliug in Adobe Flash Player 12 Active X and Adobe Shockwave Player 12.0. Not a powerful computer user. What Miss me? Using Windows 7, IE 11.

  Flash Player is a "plug-in", NOT a soft, so you will NEVER find it in the folder program files or in the start menu.  The two physical files in C/Windows/System32/C:\windows\system32\macromed/Flash and C/Windows/SysWOW64/C:\windows\system32\macromed/Flash.

  But...

  IE11 is a 'rolling Train wreck. " Combined with 8.1 it is, without a doubt, the worst bunch of garbage to EVER come out of Redmond, WA. Even with WIndows 7, it's a mess, but not ALL THE TIME as it is with 8 or 8.1

  MS has deliberately changed the "User-Agent strings" to make it almost IMPOSSIBLE for pages and sites ID it. (See: Screwed of IE11 up channels User-Agent)

  The pages may not recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication they have any plan to address it quickly.

  Recommendation from Microsoft is to use compatibility view for the relevant pages and "pretend" you are using a different browser. Problem with that is it has been a success limited at best, and you will need to activate individually for EACH page that has problems.

  I'm not big on "pretend" so I recommend you to use another browser.

  NO one who will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player plug-in (for all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't have same because it has its own plugin Flash Player built in.

• Update Adobe Flash for XP 32

  Tried to update adobe flash and it keeps going back for the update and I get the error messages from Microsoft. Have a head injury and I am confused what to do. I use Mozilla as recommended for the browser and use Outlook for e-mail.

  Is there an automatic update for this which will take care of everything that needs to be updated? I need HELP please. A very simple language please. I tried to do this update via Mozilla and I get the Microsoft error message.

• The updated Windows 7 and Firefox 32.0.1, Shockwave, Flash 15.0.0152 are totally screwed up.

  Nothing works. Can't even turn on the Task Manager. All the foregoing is the latest version. I would be interested if anyone has the same problem, which surfaced after Windows update. In my opinion, Shockwave Flash is the worst software in the history of computing. Hardware acceleration for Flash and Firefox are out of service, otherwise Firefox crashes. I now work in safe mode, and the first thing I have to do is turn off Flash, then check my drive with chkdsk. It is probably a Windows problem; they always boast about how to code problems in windows amounts to only 3% of the total. Right. Another point is that Firefox has its own problems. Why can't you run it with hardware acceleration on? Why must you do a work around with slows everything down to an analysis? It took so ridiculous I think strongly convert completely to Linux Debian. I only half configured; I just need to my favorites on the port to Iceweasel, get my outloook files and install a player. Normal operation for me, with limited plugins, is very slow.

  Do you by chance have Flashblock installed? I had checked before and did turn off but it seems was not enough. Update b 34, 1 break Flashblock who, in turn, breaks Flash and, for me, VLC. I had to disable (in Add-ons) and restart Firefox, and now everything is fine.
