07E8h of FSB speed

Hello

I have an old Evo D510 with a card mother 07E8h. My processor is a core 2.53 GHz Northwood 533 MHz FSB and 512 KB of L2 cache speed. I can't find any information wheter or not this motherboard supports a more than 533 MHz or 800 MHz FSB speed. I want to upgrade with a 2.8 to 3 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 1 MB L2 cache and possibly a Variant hyper threading if possible.

I would be very happy if someone could tell me how fast FSB, my motherboard supports.

SteinarN

Hello:

The maximum CPU, you can install is a pentium 4 (P4 3.06/512/533) with a 512 KB L2 cache and a 533 MHz FSB speed.  That's all the 845 chipset can handle.

Link to the quickspecs is below.

You cannot enable hyperthreading.

  • Toshiba A50-frequency of 106:FSB Bus and memory problem

    Hello
I have a problem with my new Toshiba A50-106. There are Celeron M 1, 5 GHz inside. That all specifications for this processor FSB speed should be 4x100MHz and for my memory bus speed should be 2 x 133, but when I check in SiSoft Sandra 2004 I see 4x187MHz (748 MHz) FSB and the speed of the Bus of Mem 2x249MHz (4 98 MHz). I can't fix it myself, because there is no such option in the BIOS and there is no standard software from Toshiba.
Consequence of this is the problem of the temperature of my cpu. It is on average 54 c in an idle state.
Perhaps you have had the same problem or knows what is in him and you can help me.
What is a temperature average of your Celeron M?

    Thank you in advance,
    Michael

    Hi michael,.

to your first question, have you run Sandra 2004 in battery mode because in battery mode CPU manages to set the speed of the FSB and memory also bus speed!

So, try once more on AC power mode and let me know the results.

Also, you should check these results with different bechmarking systems because these programs work differently.

@ temperature problem: there is problem o with 54 HP. The home page of intel, said a 125 C is the maximum and then the CPU stops automatically!

  • Can I put a 133 mhz FSB CPU of P3 on Satellite Pro 4600?

    Hello world
    I have a good old Satellite 750 Mhz pro4600
and I was wondering if I can install a P3 1 GHz 133 Mhz FSB CPU
I wonder if this laptop is strictly 100 mhz FSB?
I hope that I can extend the life of the laptop loyal.

The 4600 series computer is equipped with a Mobile Intel Celeron processor or a
    Mobile Intel Pentium III processor.

    Mobile Intel Celeron processor
This processor runs at 650 MHz or 700 MHz.
The max speed of the FSB Processor: 100 MHz.

Mobile processor Intel Pentium III, featuring Intel SpeedStep technology
This processor is working at 650MHz(1.6volts)/500MHz(1.35volts),
    MHz(1.6volts) 700 / 550 MHz(1.35volts), 750 MHz(1.6volts).
    600 MHz(1.35volts) or 800 MHz(1.6volts) / 650 MHz(1.35volts) and supports FSB speed: 100 MHz

P3 1 GHz 133 Mhz FSB CPU is therefore not possible ;(

  • Speed up the options for an old HP a1224n. The upgrade possible CPU or HARD drive?

My a1224n is stuck in programs such as Rhapsody and ITunes run.  I have 4 teenagers with mp3 players, and it seems that more they get, slow tracks of the machine.  Under XP SP3, motherboard is 3 goldfish with a LGA775 socket.  I have all the RAM pushed in there, I can get.  It is not a problem of spyware, I clean, degrag and regedit regularly, firmer all the essential background programs.  It was a long introduction to my question, which is: would changing the CPU or install a higher speed of disk HARD save me, or am I wasting time?  If so, what limits me on the selection of a CPU?  This is a speed of frontside motherboard, socket or something else (I know heat load and the processor speed max are issues).  ... Change my hard drive or install a second hard drive?  I would replace the current 200 GB 7200 rpm HDD with a 600 10 k RPM HARD drive, or simply add a second HD and empty all my media files?  A lot of questions, can't find someone who knows the answers.  Need help.  Here are some indications of the fact sheets: processor Intel Pentium 4 519 (P), 3.06 GHz, 533 MHz front bus, Socket 775.  Motherboard: ASUS LRTP-(3 fish red-GL8E), the front bus at 800 MHz, chipset northbridge 915GV, southbridge Intel ICH6.

    Hello:

If you have installed 4 GB of DDR PC3200, then if you install used without work, processor Pentium 4 650 3.4/800/2M I think you will see a notable improvement on your current configuration.

I can't guarantee this will work, but I'm sure it will, based on the information below.

If you don't have PC2700, your memory performance will suffer with the 800 MHz FSB P4 650 processor.

Attached are the specs of your motherboard:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00361570

I have a dc7100 with the same chipset, so I'm pretty sure that a P4 650 will work in your. I have a P4 640 (3.2 GHz) I got it for free, so I installed which instead of the 650. If I were to buy one, I would have bought the 650. I installed a P4 650 in a Dell Dimension 4700 with the same Intel 915 chipset. Works great! I upgraded the Dell of a P4 520 to 650 2.8/800/1M and this was a significant improvement. You would increase by nearly 400 MHz and 266 Mhz FSB speed.

HP has drivers for PC for Windows Vista and Windows 7 64-bit. The only processors that can work with an OS that is supported with the chipset 915, 64 bits are P4 6xx processors. So, I guess that your PC supports processors P4 6xx up to 3.4 GHz, as shown in the plug from motherboard.

You can get a P4 650 used but works for less than $25 on eBay.

I do not see an update of the BIOS that requires support new processors, so you should be good to go.

If your HARD drive is less than 60% full, I see no need for an additional HARD drive. I don't even know if the computer supports a 10 K rpm HARD drive.  I don't know if your machine's HARD drive controller supports SATA II HDD's 3.0 GB/S transfer speeds. I don't think he does.  So no matter what HARD drive you buy would go to 1.5 GB/S SATA transfer speed and you could you jumper the drive for this work.

The main disadvantage that I see on your PC, it is impossible to install a PCie graphics adapter. Your integrated graphics (GMA900) will not work the graphics of Windows Aero in Windows 7 or Vista. It is not a show-stopper, but a lot of people have improved their PC / laptop computers equipped with the integrated GMA 900 graphics card just for this discover later and were very disappointed. If you were able to install a PCIe graphics card, say a cheap 8400GS 512 MB fanless nVidia card, it would have released a memory embedded amount and you would have noticed an improvement even more.

So, for an investment of $25 in a P4 processor 650 you could squeeze a few more horses (no pun intended) out of it.

Other than that, I would look to buy a new PC / opportunity made from 2008. They should all be able to Windows 7 because they would have been Windows Vista capable in 2008.

    I hope this helps.

  • Satellite Pro U300-143 Ram DDR2 800 taken care of?

Hello, I am new to the forum.
Anyone know if it is possible to use DDR2 800 to replace the old 667?
The bus of the motherboard also goes to 800.
    Thank you.

    Hello

It makes no sense to use modules more rapid if the chipset would not support the front end of 800 MHz bus speed the FSB could slow down the speed of the memory at the same speed that is supported by front side bus.

I recommend you chipset. Then you will know, what the FSB speed is supported.
If the FSB would be favourable to 800 Mhz, you can use these modules.

  • Satellite C850-B519 - the hardware specification

    Hello world

I used to know more details on the RAM, processor, card mother cpu - z... .etc
But when I got in the name of the motherboard it was "Type 2-Board 1 vendor name", so what?
I searched a lot about this, but I found nothing... I want to know (the FSB speed, max speed, speed of SATA RAM slot)... .and everything about.

Please let me know as soon as possible.
    Thank you very much

I'm not sure that someone here can help you with this. I mean if googling around you can find some standard information. No more than that. In General, some third party software like CPU - Z is good for more information about the hardware.

Out of curiosity, but why must you all this? You want to improve something? RAM or HARD drive maybe?

  • Tecra A11 - 11N does not start after upgrading CPU

    Hello

I would like to do an upgrade of the processor for my Tecra A11 i5 - 430 M 11N to a probably much faster i5 processor. I thought that the i5 - 580 M'd, but the laptop does not start when I installed this processor.

I started the 430M, done some research on the internet and discovered that the 580 M has a very high FSB speed, and that is what probably does not work / not compatible with my machine.

    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/43537/
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/49653
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/49652

    and also http://ark.intel.com/

Now, I went back to the computer store, returned the 580M and got an i5 - 560 M compared to its specifications as I've seen it would not compatible because it has the same speed of the FSB with the 430 M.

I then later in the day tried to install this cpu as an upgrade, BUT alas!
It STILL does not START ALSO.
I was dumfounded left. The processors in the same line of the family are supposed to be compatible between them provided: lithography, FSB and socket type are similar.

    Or what I'm missing here?
I did upgrades of CPU in many cases for desktop computers and laptops, and this is the first that has left me with no word to say!

    Please offer assistance or advice.

+ The message has been modified.

    Hello

Recommend to check this doc from Toshiba:

+ Can I put th CPU, screen, or motherboard in my Toshiba laptop? +
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ35006D000RR01.htm

Upgrading the CPU is not supported (officially).
The point is that, even if the chipset would support the new processor, it would be possible that the laptop wouldn't start because of compatibility problems between the BIOS or other components on the motherboard and the new processor.

  • Memory config for Tecra 8000 PIII/500

Can someone clarify this for me - I guess that the memory config for it would be the same as for a PC. Can I mix and match modules memory too long that I do not exceed the maximum of 256 MB. Apart from the conflict, a 133 MHz module would just run at the 100 MHz FSB speed.

So I could add a module of 128 MB 100 MHz for the standard 64 MB DIMM equipping the Tecra 8000 do 192 Mb or a single 256 MB 100 MHz module... OR 2 x 128 MB...

    Thank you very much

    Hello

as far as I know the Tecra 8000 has no FSB 100 speed!

So pay attention to your turn to mixture.

There are a few Tecra 8000 who BusTyp: 66 MHz Front Side Bus (1.6 volts).

  • Re: Satellite Pro A200 - RAM upgrade

    Hi all

Don't worry I'm not here to ask questions on only 3 GB of RAM display in a 32-bit Windows system! : PEI

I'm wanting to upgrade the RAM on my A200 and what I was wondering was what can I put with 667 MHz RAM? I know that the FSB of the CPU is 800 MHz so can not use RAM 800 MHz? I had a quick glance in the BIOS to see if there was an option to change the speed or on my desktop, but I couldn't find anything. If the speed of the RAM is locked and if yes is there a update of the available BIOS that will allow it to be changed?

I hope this isn't a stupid question but thanks in advance!

    Daniel

RAM with MHz more won't make your laptop faster. I'm not 100% sure but on the motherboard FSB speed is 533 MHz and Rams, you inside are at 667 MHz.

If you can increase the RAM to 4 GB using 2 GB of RAM compatible with the PA3513U-1M2G part number.

    Good bye

  • Re: Tecra A11 - 1FM - replacement RAM

    Hi all

    I have a Toshiba A11 - 1FM with standard memory: 3 072 (1 024 + 2 048) MB with technology: DDR3 RAM (1 066 MHz)

    I want to upgrade to:
    8 096 (4 + 4) MB with technology: DDR3 RAM (1333 MHz)

    Is this possible?
This module of memory RAM can you recommend?

    Thanks in advance
    Nenad

According to specification for laptop, your laptop can be upgraded up to 8 GB.
You're right about the modules inside. There are two DDR3 1066 MHz (PC3-8500) modules.
You can upgrade RAM to the maximum level, but you must use compatible modules only.

There is no sense to use faster RAM if the FSB speed is slower. You can use faster Rams, but they will run with low speed. Original use and 100% compatible RAM.
Compatible 4 GB of RAM for your laptop Tecra has PA3677U-1M4G part number.

Buy two of them, share original modules and everything will be OK.

    Hello

As far as I know, this unit comes with 4 different CPUs:
    Intel P3 100 Mhz FSB speed: 650, 700, 750, 800.
But I put t know if all this CPU runs on the same motherboard.
In addition, I did find all the documents concerning the assignment of pins.

Normally it s is not possible to change or upgrade the CPU on laptops, but in this case I might be possible. But I recommend to ask the service partner Toshiba for the second opinion.

  • Upgrade processor for HP Pro 3010 SFF

Hi I need a help and advice, I have a HP Pro small Form Factor (SFF) descktop PC which I use mainly for games and watch video, over the last months, I found myself upgrading things lag on it as the graphics card and RAM. This is a fantastic little machine, I came to realize, and I want to make the most of what I can.

    My question is this:

What is the best processor I can put in my machine to make it faster and I use this system for game will it improve at all and final question is I need to upgrade the BIOS because it is something that I haver ever done before.

Another thing is I need upgrade of power for optimum power or is the fine provided for this?

    Regards all, Jay.

    You should be fine then.

Your power is 10W higher than mine, which compensates for the difference in the current video card absorbed.

The problem is with mine for example, is feeding is owner and there is no better P/S offered by HP for my model.

I don't know if the P/S is owner for your model, so I can't advise you about the upgrade.

However, with everything being written, I think you will be OK with the current P/S and the nvidia card and a Q9650.

You would certainly be OK with the E8600, but I don't see that as a very big jump to what you have now and probably not worth it.

Here is the comparison next to the three... Yours, E8600, Q9650.

    http://Ark.Intel.com/compare/35428, 35605,36503

The E8600 is faster and double a hiding as the E7500 which is good, but the Q has 4 times the cache twice, carrots and is more rapid (GHz) as yours.

I really don't think that increasing FSB speed is important because the chipset that your PC has only runs at 1066 MHz memory, no 1333 HMz.

  • Curiosity to upgrade RAM on Satellite A200

    Hello world

I want to improve my computer Toshiba A200 performance and then I decided to buy a Module of Ram 2 Gb memory.
To research the results of this forum as well as the report of an application called Everest (I'm sure you know) is DDR2 - 667 MHz (PC5300) RAM DDR2 200 pin SO-DIMM memory I have to buy.

I was about to buy this kind of memory and then looking for more information on the internet, I found a very interesting http://www.techsupportforum.com/ page with a lot of useful post on the world of computing. One of the post was titled "Selection RAM for your laptop", and he explains that memory that fits your computer depends on the processor you have... It's curious because my T7500 processor, and in the post, I find it

Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 processor:
    DDR2-800 MHz (PC6400) RAM DDR2 200 pin SO-DIMM

So, what do you think, that I can buy this type of memory (faster than what I put together) or the information contained in this message are set to false.

    Thanks in advance.

For your laptop model Toshiba (A200) says:
Type of extension of DDR2 - 533 MHz 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB memory (works of system at 533 MHz 667 MHz is plugged).

Forget the processor system Bus clock speed. For the RAM upgrade is the relevant FSB speed.
