Updating Win 7 OEM Win 8 added

The same conditions as my last question with the modernization of OEM of Win7 to win 8 except with a twist. It is fairly well established that Win 8 does not release from Win7 to be used o another machine, but we'd be able to run the replaced Win7 on a virtual computer on the same computer through the Win8 or 8.1? Legally, that is.

You would always use the same machine and everything. I'm ready to get all the mileage I can of each version of the software, but am not ready to be illegal to do so. I like operating systems and like to compare their characteristics. I love discovering how they evolve. I always like some of the stuff from Win7 and wish to use it with the Wim8 stuff. I love Win8. I don't know what everyone is critical in this regard. This is the future. No one said that they do not like their cell phone.

That your thoughts?

Dan Beyer

The license for a small upgrade version, utalises the origonal license under the new license.

So it depends if you have purchased a full license of win8 or upgrade license

If you have documents open in Photoshop and changes.  If you have your photoshop preferences file manages the automatic backup settings. Each automatic backup recovery period a recovery file must be written for these documents.  If your Machine is blocking you the original files of documents, either still on you computer unchanged if you have not any saved on them.  When you open Photoshop, it should see recovering files it save on your documents. These recovery files will all have the update you do to your documents and writings in recovery files. However, any changes made after this last period of auto backup is not there.  You lose these updates and all the States in the history of Photoshop that existed prior to the accident.  Photoshop automatically opens all files in recovery, so you can get as much work as you can.   When you save them and close documents or close without saving the document recovery files are deleted.  Normally when you close Photoshop there are no open documents and therefore no recovery file.

KB947821 is the tool of the system update, this isn't an update, it rather is a tool that will scan and fix of inconsistencies that may prevent the updates install correctly.

Since it is a tool, it is not available through Windows updates and you will be asked to download and run it manually if you encounter any problems.

  • UPDATE BIOS WITH OEM WIN 7

Hello, I'm under Win7 64-bit OEM version. I want to update my BIOS by removing the old BIOS chip and its replacement by a new chip with the latest BIOS on this subject. My question is, will see the BONE and detecting the new BIOS as a computer or a new Board of Directors. I will replace the CMOS battery at the same time.

    All advice appreciated.

    Thank you, Buster.

Well well well, its my lucky day, I have triumphed!  I thought I would take a shot at a flash, downloaded the update of the BIOS on the XFX 4 times site, whenever Win Zip told me it was an archive invalid so gave up on that!

Swapped the chip for the BIOS and CMOS battery, started waiting for re configure CMOS and BIOS, but all my settings was intact! How bizzare!

Entered 'System' and noted that I had 3 days to activate, click on "Activate now" problems while waiting but no.. bosh... work.  Well happy.

Thanks for your input guys. At least, it has been proven that you can put a fresh BIOS chip in a system with OEM operating system.  All the work took about 10 minutes!

    Thanks again, Buster.

Thank you to let us know.

    2) will I then a full commercial (not hardware locked) license after the upgrade:Yes and no: upgrade Windows 7 itself isn't locked material. However if you need perform a clean installation of Windows 7 again once the upgrade DVD expects to find a version of XP preinstallation. So if your 64 bit version of XP is an OEM version then you are indirectly locked.

If some time in the future you intend to switch to another PC and that you are do it yourself computer manufacturer, then "the" full version of Windows 7 is a better choice.

  • Poor performance of Firefox after you apply the latest Microsoft Updates (Win 7 x 64); all solutions?

Recently, I updated to Firefox 27 and noticed really horrible performance (Manager tasks indicates FF connecting a carrot, frequent "Firefox is not responding messages", even strikes in late development in the URL bar). It's on an Ideapad s205 (AMD E450 APU, Win 7 x 64, 8 GB RAM, SSD) who has always had pretty decent web browsing performance for a low end machine.

At first, I blamed FF because poor performance coincided with the update to version 27, but now I think that the first cause to be a recent Microsoft Update. The reason is that my wife has a laptop with a same low-end APU (APU C60, hard drive 5400 RPM, 4 GB of RAM, Win 7 x 64), and she was getting much better performance with FF27 until I applied a backlog of some 90 + updates. Now she suffers from the same poor performance I am and she is pretty p * ssed at home.

Interestingly, I have two WIn 7 x 64 Intel computers to office who have 27 FF and are fully patched, and performance are very good. Maybe this problem is specific to AMD APU.

Any thoughts? I tried to turn off the backend Azure with some comments in this forum, but makes little or no difference.

    Thank you!

Success! 32 FF seems to have solved my problems of performance. Thank you!
