upgrade a celeron

Hi all!

So I have a HP-Compaq 610 with:

Processor: Intel Celeron M 570 @2 .26GH-support: Socket 478 mPGA
motherboard: HP 308a, chipset: intel gme965
Graphics: Mobile Intel (r) 965 Express Chipset family. (x 3100)

So, I got a pentium Dual Core T2390 to 1.86Gh to upgrade. The pentium was in a laptop
with my same specifications (965 x 3100 chipset, same socket etc...).
This will be a good choice of upgrade? I have problems installing, or problems after installation?

The pentium t2390 also has speedstep technology
also runs off little... These are two bios utilities? should I update my bios? or something else?
I mean do just replace the with the pentium celeron, and I'm ok?

CONFIRMED!

Intel Pentium T2390 works perfectly with my compaq 610

I'm really you was asking didn't compare this laptop with other series and pay attention which has better material inside series. It is now too late. Upgrading the CPU is not supported on portable computers.

Anyway, if you want to have the best performance to check the RAM upgrade possibilities. With more RAM and operating system perfectly, you can have good workbook.

    Hello

Your use of machines: 2.16 GHz Intel Celeron N2830 processor with Turbo Boost technology up to 2.41 GHz

Transformers is attached to the system board (or weld) so it is NOT upgraded or you can buy the new motherboard and it could be more expensive than the purchase of the machine itself.

    Yes, you can:

A SODIMM non customer-accessible/upgradable (Pentium, Celeron processors) memory module housing

    Repair manuals

As you already know, you have a Trail Bay processor which means that you have a single memory slot and Yes, it can be improved to a SO-DIMM 8 GB DDR3L-1600. See page 30 for memory upgrade instructions.

    Hello

No it s not from the platform you have was not intended for a dual core processor. And even if the motherboard would be able to do it, then you won´t tools (especially as software sweet little tool to write the CPU microcode) to adapt to the CPU for your system.

Sorry dude, a lot of people was here before you and had already asked. Each time the same answer. :/

  • Upgrade CPU on a Satellite M40: Celeron to Pentium M (?)

    Hello world

I have a simple question. Don't you think that we can change the processor in a M40 - 307 (the one with the ATI chipset) Celeron m for a Pentium M?

I currently have a Dothan Celeron M370 (400 mhz fsb), so I guess that a dothan Pentium M (400 mhz) would do?

    Thank you!

WARNING: I know what I'm doing in terms of opening the laptop, as a matter of fact the 1, 5 ghz celeron is currently pine-modded to 2 ghz, the warranty is already more than 6 months, the rest of the computer has already been upgraded (HD, RAM) and the pentium M, I have in mind (725 and 735) are available for about 15 euros.

    Well, I discovered that the Satellite M40 were equipped with processors different as;
Processor Intel Pentium M (Dothan) and Intel Celeron M.

    Processor Intel Dothan (533 MHz)
    730 1.6GHz
    740 1.73GHz
    750 1.86GHz
    760 2.0 GHz
    770 2.13GHz

Processor Intel Celeron M (400 MHz)
    350 1.3 GHz
    360 1.4 GHz
    370 1.5 GHz.

So, theoretically, all these processors must be compatible. But as I said s theory.
Practically, it s always another story

  • Upgrade of processor for your laptop Presario CQ57, product # QE264UA #ABA... Intel Celeron B800 @ 1.50 GHz

Presario product CQ57 # QE264UA #ABA... I know I'm probably beating a dead horse, as they are another message asking the same info, but I guess you could call this clarification. I'm looking to upgrade my processor which is currently an Intel Celeron Dual Core B800 @ 1.50 GHz. First of all, what I read am I was right assuming that the Intel Core processor will work in place the Celeron? I am opting to the processor Intel Core i5 2430M 1333 MHz if application permits. If not, is that I can use the Intel Pentium 2.20 GHz TJ85 B960, or are the two compatible? I thank you in advance for any response or any light you may be able to do about it.

    Hello

    You are welcome.

As the info, I provided you with all the necessary things clear & it would be the same as any member of the forum including HP Expert here suggests that you do.

    In any case, good luck!

  • X220i with celeron 857 upgrade

I have a x220i with celeron 857. I want to upgrade the CPU, but as I know that the cpu is not removable. Is it possible that I buy a 220 Board with i7 2640 m x? He enters the x220i database? Thank you.

The X 220 and X220i have the same chassis, so a straight Board swap will work. The better question is the cost effectiveness. Sometimes you can pick up a 220 X used with a better processor for less.

  • Compaq Presario V5204NR: CPU Intel Celeron M 410 compatible Bios upgrade/replacement

I'm to boost the performance of my laptop dated. He has 2gigs of RAM and I don't remember what speed but I want to move to a faster processor. What can manage my bios?

I am wanting to know if I can upgrade a Core Duo or Core 2 Duo. I read online that I can switch to a Core Duo but it the new processor has to match the speed of the FSB of the current processor?

The FSB speed should match the RAM speed or vice versa? I'm still new to all this computer jargon and terminology.

Upgrade the hard drive to a faster speed would also improve performance? I don't remember if I have a speed of 5400 or 7200 RPM. How big can I go?

    Thank you!

I got the Intel T1350 installed and it works. No doubt seems to work better than the Celeron M 410.

  • upgrading processor on sr1411nx (celeron 2,4)

Does anyone know if this system can take an upgrade in th cpu?  The product number is PW506AA.  Currently has a celeron 2.4 - can take a pentium without an exchange of motherboard?

    Help, please...

    Yes.

    That's what your motherboard supports.

    • Socket: 478
    • Supports the processor up to 2.80 GHz
    • Supports the Intel Pentium 4 processors
  • Processor upgrade: 8199-54U A30 for Pentium 4 Celeron

Does anyone have experience upgrading a Thinkcentre A30 or any model of a Celeron Pentium 4 processor Thinkcentre?  For the A30 8199, the motherboard for the different models is identical - FRU 88P 8477.  So I guess I can run a Celeron or Pentium 4.  Here's what I course.

I'm trying to upgrade my Thinkcentre A30 8199-54U a 2.4 GHz Intel Celeron processor to an Intel Pentium 4 3.06 GHz.  When I install the new PC P4 processor returns a 1-1-3-3 (CPU initialize registry) beep code and will not be DISPLAYED.  I re-installed the old processor Celeron, flashed the BIOS with the latest version of lenovo.com (May 2005), re-installed the P4 processor and still get the same 1-1-3-3 beep codes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

On paper, it seems, the 3.06 should work, but I suspect that you have a D1 walk instead of a C1 stepping, which is what is stated in the list items. (The A30 comes with a P4 3.06 on some models, so it should work)

The parts for your machine can be found HERE where it clearly lists at the bottom of the list of processors 3.06. Your motherboard is a 533 Mhz with AGP.

Check the number sSpec on the processor you have and add it to this list HERE on the site Web of Intels. If the processor you have indeed a D1 strengthens, that would most likely be the cause of the system not recognize. Find other treatment with the correct sSpec number and you should be good as gold.

    Hello

I am trying to determine if I can improve my laptop HP G4 250 Celeron N3060 Intel i5 or i7 CPU processor. I've seen on other forums, the socket is share (G2) but I can't confirm, so determine if there is an upgrade path.

In addition, the manual does not show an option to upgrade, only a Council system option Exchange that I guess can include the CPU.

    Hello

It's true because you have to buy any motherboard with CPU that is welded to the noard or motherboard system. It is a very expensive upgrade.

    Kind regards.
