  Solution:

  The volume mounted on MacBook is/Volumes/photowork.  Note the small "p" followed.   In LR, I chose a mount point

  with * caps * 'p '.  See screenshot.  Summary: The point already selected was/Volumes/Photoshop editing.  LR had no complaints.  When

  I changed the mounting point for Volumes/photowork LR imported as expected.

  This has only become a problem since the upgrade, because I just never fiddled with mount points and so on.  This archive

  Server has new files 2000 on it.    Many thanks to those who responded.

  I clicked to open the calendar on the doc icon and all of my calendars are GONE. There is now only a single base calendar with holidays and some limited entries that I had put in the calendar on my iPhone (6).  But all entries made on multiple calendars on my MacBook Pro (circa 2009, 13 inches) and the calendars themselves have disappeared.  The left in the schedule column now lists only the 'other' with boxes checked for 'Found in Mail' and ' WE holiday.»  There is a box unchecked "birthdays".  I also checked my iPhone calendars (6): in the column "MY MAC", several of my missing calendars are noted as "null".  In the column 'GMAIL', my e-mail address, birthdays and holidays are checked.  I restarted the computer from the drop-down menu, only to rebuild or repair itself, as opposed to an automatic restart.  I do not backup to the cloud, only on a hard drive.  I'm under El Capitan 10.11.4.  Help!

  Do you have other Adobe applications installed on your computer?

  Navigate to C: > Program Files > Adobe.

  Open the Adobe folder and check if the Adobe Premiere pro CS5 folder is created with files stay inside?

  The problem is most likely an attempt to update a system malfunction prior it is probably a problem with your computer, not the El Capitan.

  Start by:

  Reset the PRAM and NVRAM on your Mac.

  MacIntel: Reset of the controller (SMC) system management

  Start in Safe Mode , and then re - start normally. It's slower that a normal start, so be patient.

  If you are unable to start;

  Reinstall El Capitan without erasing the drive

  Please make sure that you back up.

  1. Restart the computer. Immediately after that the chime hold down the command and R until the Utility Menu appears.
  2. Select disk utility, then click on the continue button.
  3. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) entry of the volume in the list aside.
  4. Click first aid icon in the toolbar. Wait until the button is active, then click it.
  5. Quit disk utility and re-enter the Utility Menu.
  6. Select Reinstall OS X and click on the continue button.
