  Hi Rob,

  What is happening in Mode safe? If you can install it in Mode safe mode then delete all entries in startup via msconfig as this could conflict with the program.

  If this does not work, saving all the data of your administrator account, you can delete the account and recreate it.

I tried several times to get these downloaded on my mac, but every time that I download them using creative cloud I downloaded too he says 'Buy now' after that they fit... but I already have two and pay for them each month!   I can't answer that question, but I can say that CS5 is is no longer being updated for the new hardware and operating systems, so as far as I know, if you buy an external with the same kind of screen 'High definition' monitor you have now, you will have the same problem
