Upgrade memory for upgrading memory S3220n

I'm interested in upgrading the memory to 2 GB to 4 GB. Can anyone recommend the memory I need? Ths is also a warranty issue? I suspect that the removal of the cover is pretty easy and so replace the memory should be easy. Any help would be appreciated. JC

You will need a 64 bit OS to run a full 4 GB of memory. Your running Vista Home Premium 32-bit. Here are the specs of your PC memory..

    • Advice/cost for the upgrade of MacBook Pro memory

I have a mid-2009 13-inch MacBook Pro. It has 2 GB of RAM and I want to update 8 GB of RAM. I heard it is expensive to have Apple install memory, but I really do not trust myself to install it alone! Does anyone have an idea of what it would cost (for the work of Apple and memory) for this upgrade? And if no Apple, anyone have any suggestions for qualified but cheaper alternatives? Thank you!!

      Dailey,

You can upgrade RAM yourself at a reasonable cost.

    • The upgrade for the SR1750NX memory

My old SR1750NX is still up and running (since ' 05!) and I want to squeeze some more memory in it.

      However, here is what I know of research in the past on this computer;

Win XP - The original OS - shouldn't you put in the full 4 gigs of RAM (there are 4 slots for 4 gigs), and I believe that the Web of Compaq site even warns against this.

I currently have 2 GB in there.

I guess this, or you install the memory sticks in PAIRS for this computer?

So, is it good to put in a stick more than 1 single gig,... or could I put in two 512?

Any help appreciated.  I use it for 3D renderings, and it's pretty slow, so any speed I can get is great!

      Hello:

Everything you have written that I agree with.

This is the product for your PC specification page.

      http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c00572530

You can see that the upgrade info memory says exactly what I informed you about installation 4 x 1 GB of memory.

No, not all will be available, but it will work without problem.

If you want to install/3 GB, you can install 512 MB - 1 GB - 512 MB - 1 GB more.

You can not install it in the order of 1 GB - 1 GB - 512 MB - 512, or visa versa.

But if you just want to install 4 x 1 GB more memory and remove the 2 x 512 GB which will be just fine.

Personally, I think that you should just add 2 x 1 GB in free slots.

I want to upgrade the memory of my notebook.
I know that the installed memory is DDR2700 (333 mhz) but I would like to know which brand is already installed and/or brands/types are approved by Toshiba.

      THX in advance

      Hello

normally, you don't need to bother with the brands of MHz' are and stuff like that. If you point out that you want to buy (recommended) Toshiba memory original option for this model, nor a f.ex. use a 3rd Kingston memory advantage - you just say "I have this model, give me a 256, 512 memory or whatever."
It will then work perfect in your system as well as the memory you already have.

      Best regards

    • Upgrade memory for Qosmio G30-201 of 2 GB to 4 GB

I want to buy 4 GB of memory upgrade to 2 GB.

What makes are compatible & reliaible. Any advice on Corsair, Kingston, Crucial, Transcend?

Several of these RMP sell "Value" ram under their own name - are these OK?

I have a Qosmio G30-201, with the following specifications:

      Technology Intel® Centrino® Duo Mobile with Intel® Core 2 Duo processor T7400 - Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition - 400 (200 + 200) GB drive hard - 2 048 (1, 024 + 1, 024) MB of RAM DDR2 (533 MHz) - 17 "Toshiba TruBrite® TFT WUXGA screen-DVD - ROM HD player

Best thing you can do is to use Kingston memory modules. Kingston offers high quality products and using RAM Kingston you have no compatibility problems.

    • Question about the upgrade memory for my Satellite M40-307

Sorry for the newbie question. But if I have 512 MB of memory for the time being, what are my upgrade options?

Do I have to buy pairs of memory? So I can or buy 2 x 1 GB = 2 GB, or 2 x 512 MB = 1 GB + 512 existing. Or can I say just buy a single 512 MB or 1 GB chip?

Since no one wants to answer:
      1. check if your laptop supports Dual Channel Ram (it should be, but just see the manual to be sure)
      2. knowledge of what type of RAM you have. This will add or remove a possibility of upgrade

The thing with Dual Channel is, that you have the best performance if you use 2 RAM of the same type (really of the same type: company, size...)
      you could:
      3. Add a 512 MB of RAM of the same type you have
3 b. buy 2 pieces of new RAM of the same type (1 GB + 1 GB, or 2 + 2 GB) and do not forget that your laptop supports this quantity (once again: manual to check)

You will also find in the manual, if your computer supports DDR or same DDR2 RAM (faster)

If you have lost your manual, you can download it here on the toshiba Web page

      I hope I could help a little.

    • Max Memory upgrade for Satellite L750-1RJ

I heard that the updated bios to 3.60 will support more memory? So I've updated, but when I tested it on the main website, it shows only 8 GB ram max.

My processor is an i3 2330 m and on the Web site intel 16 GB ram is the maximum.
Buy a kit of memory 2x8gb? This will be compatible with my laptop?

      Thanks in advance,
      Steve

As I know the update of the BIOS will not increase possibility of RAM and it depends on the chipset. According to specification for laptop, that your laptop can be upgraded up to 8 GB and no more than as long as the use of modules of memory 2x8GB will not work.

If you have a 4 GB module inside just buy another with PA3918U-1M4G part number and you get max 8 GB of RAM in your machine.

      Hi Ben

Maybe you used the memory modules bad.
As far as I know that you can upgrade memory for max 192 MB
The 64 MB has been installed in an internal memory and cannot be deleted.

      I found these compatible modules:
      PA3003U - 1 M 03 32 MB
      PS3004U - 1 M 06 64 MB
      PS3005U - 1 M 12 128 MB

    • Pavilion p6608f: upgrade memory for p6608f

Hello, my Pavilion p6608f came with 4 GB of RAM. I want to upgrade. By HP features, the motherboard is a MSI ms-7613 and it should support up to 16 GB of RAM (4 x 4 GB DIMMS). I bought 4 DIMM which seem to fit specifications, but the computer wouldn't POST after installation. I tried reseating the DIMMs, but no luck. My hypothesis is that the memory is not compatible.  I'm unable to find good information on the compatible memory for this computer on the site of Kingston, MSI site, or the site of HP. (Any ideas on one) why the memory I bought is not compatible and b) how to find compatible memory?

      Thank you.

Saw that Crucial guarantees their recommendations, I'd go with it.  You may contact their Customer Service to see what they have to say if you are still skeptical.  I have recommended Crucial memory for years without reports of incorrect memory being received.

    • Beginner looking for the best upgrade memory for Tecra 8000

Hello - I am currently looking to upgrade the memory on my Tecra 8000 the current 96 of at least 256.

Is it possible that I can't find info on 256 MB extensions that are compatible

I also want to upgrade my hard drive of at least 20 Gb, but I think it will be easier

Any advice would be much appreciated

      Hello

In my opinion, you should contact the Service partner and ask them what a memory module is compatible with your laptop. I found that PC100 128 MB (PA3005U) is certainly usable for Tecra 8000.

Please be careful because all modules may not be recognized by BIOS correctly.

It is possible that 256 MB RAM PA3069U - 1 M 25 is compatible but I'm not sure about this. Pick up information by the Service partner before buy you one.

    • Envy 15 ah150na: want to upgrade memory for laptop 15 ah150na

Hi all, I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade my memory of 8 GB to 16 GB. When I run SPeccy on my machine it says I can go to 16 and I have a free slot. In the manual it says my memory is expandable to 16 GB.

However, when I rang Mr. memory, as my model does not have on their website, they told me I had only a slit and Speccy is often wrong on this issue.

I also checked on Everest that says I have two slots with one available. When I told Mr. memory Advisor they said they would change the model on their system to say that it has two slots...

      Now I'm Confused.com

Anyone know if I can update or not? And my motherboard support 16 GB?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Thank you

      HI @jammydodger,

      Welcome to the HP Forums!

You have the best experience in the HP forum, I would like to draw your attention to the HP Guide's Forums:

Learn how to post and more

I understand that you want to know if your computer supports 16 GB of memory.  According to HP ENVY Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide of m6 , you have two slots and it will support up to 16 GB.  Please note page 1, Chapter 1, memory. You have two memory off-limits/extendable module slots.  If you are in warranty, you need to have a certified technician RESUME will do the upgrade to do not void the warranty.  If you do not guarantee a local store can do the upgrade or you can make the update yourself if you feel comfortable, but it would be at your peril.

See also Chapter 3, page 16, section 13 for recommended memory.

I hope that this is clear to the top and confusion for you.

    • Upgrades memory for Satellite 1800 412

      HI -.

I have a 1800-412 Satellite which becomes very slow so I intend to upgrade the memory. I've been hunting around a few different sites to see what I can buy, and there seem to be differing opinions whose memory actually fits my laptop:

Site Web of Kingston said that I'm going to need their KTT-SO100/256
.. .but another site suggested the KTT-S0815/256

Both websites claim that this is the chip that works.

I have also looked on the Toshiba site and found the part PA3069U - 1 M 25 number is the one I'm looking for, but the chips I found for sale online recommended for my laptop have different numbers for Toshiba...

      Help! I'm confused!
What exactly should I buy? There are actually several different chips that work or are some of these sites try to sell me a bad?

      Thanks for your help,

      Morag

      Hello

I found the information that your device can handle with 1 024 MB max memory compatible Module is PC100 256 MB (PA3069U - 1 M 25). This module has been tested and it will be recognized correctly.

I recommend you to use the right and tested a title less expensive but maybe not tested one.
