Upgrade memory on Equium M70

I currently have 512 KB of memory in my laptop, I want to go to 1 GB.
What I have to install another 512 or replace it with 1 GB.
Also do you have information on where to buy additional memory.

This device is similar to my Satellite M70. It has two memory slots and if you have a 512 MB module you can buy another and put it in the location empty. Module memory 512 MB compatible is with PA3412U - 1 M 51 part number.

On the low side in the Middle it is placed the memory cover. Take it off and put the new module of memory in the empty slot.
All that s!

    Hi mate.

As far as I know your laptop supports two memory locations.
They must be placed at the bottom of the unit.
If you n t know how to change this then I recommend consulted the user manual!
The manual can be downloaded from the Toshiba European page.
I think that the laptop can be upgraded to 2 GB of RAM. So, you can use 1 GB of RAM in one slot.

PS: you must use the RAM DDR2 PC2-4200 memory - 200pin modules

  • Upgrades memory battery/Equium L20-264

    Hello

I want to improve memory my equium l20-264 to the maximum which is about 2G I think and I was wondering what parts of memory I need to do this? He currently heads the 256 MB standard, but I'm not sure if I need to replace that with a higher memory 256 AND get a new one to compensate for the amount or if I can buy a souvenir that will do the job. Is also editing them something that I can do myself or should I consider somewhere for them to do?

The other thing is the battery life is only 1.5hours and hoped to obtain a superior capacity for her battery? Anyone know if I can do it and so what battery need and how long it lasts?

    Thanks in advance

    GATS

    Hi the GATS.

Your laptop has two banks of memory (usually accessible by a small flap on the bottom of the unit). He must have a slot in use at present with a 256 MB card installed. New RAM modules are available in sizes of 256 MB, 512 MB and 1 GB so to get all of the 2 GB, you will need to replace the 256 MB card existing with 2 X 1 GB modules.

The site of Toshiba UK lists all the options that are available for your model (!), but I found the options available on the following web - site: -.

    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=20877&ft=m&St=3

I don't think it will be possible to install an additional capacity for your laptop battery and 1.5 hours you CITIES seem just to me for this model.

    Kind regards

  • Upgrade memory laptop Equium A200-15i

Equium A200 computer comes with 2 GB (2 x 1 GB) aboard I understand that it can be improved at least 4 GB. Now, I am aware of the limits of memory for 32-bit systems, so I was considering upgrading to 3 GB (ie., 1 x 1 GB and 1x2GB). Is it possible to do without any problem? Your thoughts are welcome and also included in advance thank you!

If the laptop can handle with 4 GB of RAM I see no problem with upgrade using the 1 x 2 GB module.

Have you already created a compatible?

  • Upgrade memory on Equium L20

I received an Equium L20 as a gift last year. About a month after getting it going, it was very, very slow. It turns out it was sold to me with only 256Meg RAM - not even enough for XP run!

I am based in the States now and sent THREE different updates by a 'good reputation on the line memorystore"which none have set up properly...

L20 forum claims that I need:

    PC-4200 DDR2 - 533 SO DIMM

Is this correct? I'm sure that the existing memory reads PC2700...

The problem seems to be that although the memory card aligns OK, the side grooves on each side that hold in place do not line up with the arm in the memory slot.

Can anyone help? Please, I beg you!

    Thank you

    Dave

    Hello

According to the specification you can upgrade with 2 GB RAM max. A slot is empty and then you can put the extra RAM module. Maybe the best solution is to put module with more capacity in the slot A and 256 MB of RAM in slot B. Compatible modules are:
    DDR2 400/533 256 MB (PA3389U - 1 M 25)
    512 MB DDR2-400/533 (PA3412U - 1 M 51)

    Good bye

    Hello

    The case is clear buddy

You are using 32 bit Vista and usually the OS 32-bit (any OS) can recognize and use only max 3.2 GB of RAM
This limitation of s bit just 32.

If you want to know more about this problem, see the Microsoft Web site for more information!

  • Re: upgrade memory Satellite M70-159

I have the Satellite m70-159 with 512 RAM and you want to upgrade memory.
Is ddr2 sdram so-dimm PC5300, 667 Mhz kingston 1 G memory compatible with my laptop?
I know that this memory will run as PC4200, but I don't know where to buy PC4200.
    Thank you.

The Satellite M70 can be upgraded to 2 GB of RAM.

The Kingston RAM must be compatible with your laptop because Kingston's high-quality RAM and many users here upgraded with modules from Kingston.
And as you say that the RAM will work as long as PC4200, it is not a problem.

  • How to adjust physical memory in Satellite M70-337?

    Hello

    I'm buying a memory upgrade for my Satellite M70 - 337.

However, I'm not sure how to adapt really.
I unscrewed the memory Panel and watched it not really knowing what to do.

All the tips, links to diagrams would also be very useful.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

First before you install or remove a module, turn off the computer with the closure of the option in windows. The laptop should t be in standby or hibernation, because you will lose data.
Some modules of memory can be physically installed but are not entirely compatible with the laptop. In this case the machine will issue a warning as 3 short beeps.

    Here's a short instruction end how the modules;
-Turn the laptop (don t forget to unplug all cables) and remove the battery.
-Remove the two screws holding the plug cover memory modules
-Slide your fingernail or a thin object under the lid and remove it
-Mount the fittings of modules in connectors from computer to a 45 degree angle, and press the modules taken care to ensure a good contact.
-Push the module down so it lies flat. Locks on each side will be lick into place to fix the modules.

But note; to do this, carefully and don't use any force!

    Good bye

  • Memory slot Equium M50-164 sites

    Hello

I have the Equium M50-164 and I was wondering if the locations are intended to upgrade memory. I found one that at the bottom of the laptop and I can't find the location of the other.

    Anyone knows where the other?
    Thank you.

    Hello

The laptop support certainly two memory slots and the two slots are extensible.
From my own experience it possible s the second slot is hidden under the first memory module. If you could see the other location if the first module of memory would be removed.

I hope that this is the case on the M50 model

    Welcome them

  • View the size of memory for Equium A100-233

Hi I have laptop very an Equium A100-233.
In the specifications, it indicates that the built-in display memory can be up to 128 MB.
The problem is that the driver has 64 MB max.
As the memory is shared with the system memory, I guess I do need a MEMORY larger bar, so I put a 1 GB DIMM in there now, but it still says 64 MB max.
So is there a setting I need to change to make 128 MB?

I also think that you have the Satellite A100-233 and not a satellite.
I put t found any unit Equium bearing that number.

However, the specification says the laptop supports an Intel 950GM 8 MB to 128 MB shared memory.
Upgrade memory max could be up to 4 GB. Then perhaps you need to install more memory to use the 128 MB

But if it is not a special option for graphics memory changes so I assume that the driver will check the value of memory.

  • Question about Vista install on Equium M70

    Hello
I think of buying a full version of vista home or premium edition. Y at - it a special procedure to install vista on my equium M70-337?

Upgrade Advisor Microsoft vista tells me that the original version would be right for this machine, I was wondering if any problem could happen if I install the premium on this computer instead?

What could be better? to do a clean install, or just upgrade the existing XP?

    Thanks for your help!
    Károly

    Hello

    > Is there any procedure to install vista on my Satellite M70-337

I found on the page of the Toshiba driver a new update of the BIOS designed for Vista. So, it seems that you must update the BIOS before you start the Windows Vista installation.

    > Microsoft vista upgrade advisor tells me that the original version would be right for this machine, I was wondering if any problem could happen if I install the premium on this computer instead?

No, I think you can also use the Home Premium version. There is no major difference between the Home and Home Premium version. The version of Vista Premium provides more OS features. But the performance should be the same.

    > Which is better? To do a clean install, or just upgrade the existing XP?

I recommend you to install Vista on the second partition. In this case, you would be able to use the two BONES. Vista use a Startup Manager and you could choose between XP and Vista.

PS: There is no Vista divers for this laptop at the moment. That's why most of the features of laptop as media, FN keys, buttons etc does not work with Vista

  • Equium M70-PSM77E connection problem: Garmin GPSMAP 60CS

I use Memory Map and I have a Garmin GPSMAP 60CS, for some reason some in recent weeks, I can't transfer routes and trademarks etc. from the laptop to the GPS.

A message pops up saying unknown Garmin.
I tried put in place and that you have downloaded the drivers Garmin, but when you try to Set up once again, none of the COM ports appear to be active.

Research in Device Manager, no ports are indicated and are not shown on the list of Control Panel.

My laptop is an Equium M70-PSM77E.
How can I get all the ports listed. I connect the Garmin via USB.

    Hello

You have connected this 3rd party device ports USB hmmm I noticed a similar problem with my external USB HDD. For some reason the external HARD drive has stopped working.
It happened because I haven't used the function remove.

I spent a lot of time to get this drive working. After a long investigation, I removed the USB ports on the Device Manager, cleaned the registry by using the cleaning such as CCleaner or Registry cleaner software and restarted the operating system.

After this procedure, the operating system acknowledged again the ports, and I was able to use the HARD drive.
So maybe this trick helps you
