Upgrade of computers

Have a TV m8120n PC. You want to upgrade to the latest office of HP media. What is the best way to copy everything form my current comp to the new? They use Vista.

Thank you

Peddler, I do not use Vista, but in XP there is an application to transfer data from one computer to the other.  Check in 'Start' / All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/files and Settings Transfer Wizard.  "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" did exactly what you need.  Of course, the instructions I gave you are for XP Pro, so you'll have to figure out where it is under Vista.

The Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack allows you to install Windows 7 on three computers in the House, but it is currently not available.

As the Family Pack is not available - upgrade of three computers, you will need to buy three separate licenses. You can buy two Windows 7 upgrades for computers XP and an Express Upgrade for Windows 7 Starter computer.

    Express Upgrade purchase

Type of upgrade Express in the box files and research programs in the start menu and click the Windows Anytime Upgrade.  From there, you can buy an Express to Windows 7 Home Premium/Professional/ultimate upgrade. Then you can enter your Express Upgrade product key and perform a simple upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium/Professional/ultimate. Online Anytime Upgrade is not available in all countries. All programs and files will remain on the computer, there is no drive necessary and it takes about 10 minutes.

  • Can I upgrade OLD computers XP Pro 32-bit to W7 Pro and later move the license to a new computer and 64-bit?

I have a gob of old machines (5 years and more) running XP Pro 32-bit.  I don't want to buy new hardware when the XP support ends, so I'd just like the upgrade to windows 7 pro (probably 32 bit for some of them).  I think many of my computers will die in the next 12 to 18 months.  I would like to move the Windows 7 Pro license on new machines AND change to 64-bit at the same time without having to buy a new license of W7.

Can someone tell me if this is possible?  Most of the machines will be 2013 Office installed.

    Thank you

    Wayne

The key will activate one or the other (32-bit or 64-bit), but not at the same time. You get 2 DVD (s) with a version of "Retail" of Windows 7, but only 1 product key. If you want to use that key on your new machine, you must first uninstall Windows machine which has the 32-bit version of Windows installed.

After that, you will need enable the new machine (64-bit) by phone from your key was already used to activate the PC 32 Bit.

Also be aware that an 'Upgrade' of Windows 7 version requires that a previous version of Windows is installed and enabled. So if your new machine does not come with an earlier version of Windows pre-installed, you should consider the purchase of a 'Full' (not an ' Upgrade') of Windows 7 version.

  • Network down frequently on a virtual machine after the upgrade of computers host and vmware to win 10

    Dear all,

A week ago, I upgraded both my two machines VMWare Win 7 to win 10, as well as the host operating system. also from 7 to 10.

Now once every 1 or 2 days, one or both the two vmwares aura an esclamation mark on the network status icon in the lower right corner and West no connection.

The host operating system is NOT having any problems with the network.

The solution is to disable and reactive the adapter to virtual machines, or repair of running Network Diagnostics where she'll tell me that it s has reinstated the connection to the bridge. But obviously I´d prefer the VM´s to be on the internet 24/7 without my intervention.

I have another computer on the same router on which I did the same thing, but with this I m not having these problems. A different and not connected equipment via the VPN running on the host OS, which is the case with the machine that s had questions.

But even once, the host operating system is not having issues, the two VM´s aren´t always the two to have this problem, and this never happened when he was all Win 7.

I ve disabled some nights windows defender analysis and TCP/IP V6, but neither helped.

Want to see some of the information from the last network diagnostics / repair or some log file, or you already know what would be the solution to my problem?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards

    Jazzl

Well, I thought that a vm was having this problem a lot more often than the other, so I looked for error messages in windows journal, showing that the network problem - have to with DHCP btw - always spent 2 minutes after an event regarding slui.exe, not found on the other machine.

What I also noticed was that the problematic vm had lost its activation of windows with the upgrade to win 10 (win 10 has limits to how much the same license can be run as virtual machines), is is not the case for the more successful one.

Then I copied the good machine, which contains the same as the other, changed mac and uuid and now it s showing that enabled, no problem so far.

  • Why can't I find the same theme of mouse cursor that I used it since the beginning of the 1990s on each upgrade of computers I've had since then with the exception of Windows 7?

Hi, I have used the same system of slider for years and had no problems to find on the Net, or put in my computer over the years, except for this new.  It is the set of mouse cursors when the sliders are all the mice for different functions.  There are other sets in the package, including a dance theme and a theme of Rameau, but I do not remember the others included.  If anyone can help find something similar, I would be very grateful that I HATE the "stuff" regular, ordinary! Thank you

    Hello

The only thing I can suggest would be to keep looking for a compatible version of Windows 7 that will meet your needs. Compatibility with Windows 7 is the responsibility of the software developer.

There are tons of these cursor there plans.

    Edit: More information.

It seems that the standard cursor file ( .cur ) w will work under Windows 7. How to install these may be different from previous versions of Windows. Here are some links with precision.

You are allowed to have the software enabled on both machines, you do not have to remove it from your old machine if you want to still have available here.

In the measure where the unidentified Developer's thing, maybe it's something you can overcome with a few settings on your machine.  I'm not a Mac user, so I have nothing to offer as a solution for this.  But I can say that the files that are uploaded through this site are downloaded from Adobe servers - that's why according to the instructions is necessary - so it shouldn't be a problem with the promoter.

Also, I can't answer about moving the installation from a USB key files.  I heard where people will eventually be prompted to insert the second disk, etc. and get hung up there.

I'll see if I can get the attention of someone who knows the questions concerns more than Mac to answer.

It's a HP Pavilion dv7-6010eo. Currently it has 500 GB SATA (7200 RPM), you can switch to the SSD. You can also put a second HDD of your machine, but you need to caddy and connector. Please visit the following link:

  • HP Elite 8200 SFF 8 GB RAM: Windows 10 64 - bit - upgrade Win7 to Win10 on HP Elite 8200 SFF - future drivers to win 10 64-bit?

I've upgraded 3 computers (portable and desktop computers) to WIN 10 since the launch and made part of the Windows program initiated for 8 months - (identify problems with NVIDIA drivers, etc.). All of the family's computers have upgraded with minimum agitation outside HP Elite 8200 SFF - core i5 vpro.

Be aware that this PC passes all diagnostics equipment and a new hard drive and compatible memory and work 100% without error on Win 7 Home - motherboard and processor are out of the box, two weeks ago. The PC has been reset to Win 7 since.

After installation, there was a lot of blue screens including: -.

    Memory management errors

    Bad pool header error

Several internet queries (probably from Microsoft OneDrive store)

I understand that this machine has not been tested as part of a verification of the compatibility of HP / Microsoft.

My question is: there will be updates on the site of HP driver Support in the near future to include 64-bit Windows machines concerned 10 drivers? Or links included for Intel Chipset drivers when they are available to Win10?

    At any time.

I am pleased to have been of assistance.

Maybe try again before the end of the free period.

It is possible that they will have worked on bugs and the most up-to-date version at W10.

Who knows, it might even be the integrated graphics Intel W10 driver that is buggy.

I got my Elite 8200 throwing XP Pro x 64, Vista, W7 Pro, W8.1 Pro business and now in W10 Pro works perfectly on every operating system.

    Hello

I've had my Toshiba Satellite L450D-11W laptop for about a year now and I play a lot of games. It has AMD Athlon x 2 Dual Core, 4 GB RAM and Windows 7 Pro (32), but it tends to create lots of lag and slow loading for the games I want to play. I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade my computers laptop AMD Athlon Quad Core or Quad Core Phenom processor.

  • Product key not valid with XP Home to Professional upgrade

I'm upgrading two computers on a customer site of XP Home Edition for XP Professional so that they can participate fully in a windows domain.  The customer has already had two upgrade packs that were an old service pack (SP1 I think).  I can't upgrade using these disks because their home edition SP3.  I have XP Professional SP3 discs that seem Dell OEM but they give an invalid product key error.

Do I have to get the upgrade of the disk with SP3 on them and if so do you have a source?

"AlanGroves" wrote in message News: 5ad56eb2-6572-4420-9ff7-54c84666a20c...

They are two Dell computers and XP Home Edition version that is on the computer is a Dell's OEM version.

Upgrade doesn't happen even at activation.  It is on a initial screens before the upgrade began that he ask the product key.

I am typing the correct characters - I've probably got at least 30 Microsoft software installs a month.

You can try to get answers to my questions.

    Thank you

You should be able to integrate the SP3 in the disks to upgrade and use.
You will almost certainly not be able to use any OEM disks to do a clean install of SP3.
You should be able to use standard OEM System Builder drives to clean - install a SP3 version, using the COA key - if not then enter any key to everything and the default key must be used. Once the installation is complete, use the product key update tool to change the key for the COA key.

  • Upgrading HP p6633w (PSU + Video Card)

    I'm looking to upgrade the PSU in my p6633w ( http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c02481325&prodSeriesId=426997... )

I'm looking for the first upgrade of the a 250W to a 500W PSU +, I know little about the upgrade of computers and am not sure if HP has a propriatry power supplys installed in this model. My question is whether the power SUPPLY Corsair cx500 block will enter in my computer. Also it would be better to buy a modular power supply against a normal.

Once I improved my diet, I pass GFX integrated into a real map. I currently have a XFX Radeon 5850 card available. I read that this card is 9.5 "long. I read some other posts that State with this PC people are trying to get maps of 9 "or less. I measured inside the case and it seems to be available around the PPI of 10-11 "express slot.

    TL; DR
The cx500 Corsair and the XFX Radeon 5850 will be compatible to put in my HP p6633w?

Both will be inserted in your system. The PSU is 5.9 "(W) x 3.4" (H) x 5.5 "(L), where L is actually 'depth' on this matter. What I'd rather is why upgrade? Without a defined purpose, your loss $$$.

What is the speed of your CPU?  I noticed the "AMD Athlon X 2 2xx/2xxe (Regor)" at the bottom of the card. "

Example: If you want to play a game in particular, I would say a minimum GPU and PSU that exceed the requirements in the future. See this table. (Do a 'find on this page' for 5850).

I have reviewed the specifications of your computer and think that the only necessary to increase performance of the system upgrade is a better card discrete video.  However, this would require a power supply unit (PSU) upgrade.
