  • VAIO vpceh24fx ssd upgrade

I want to install vegas pro 12 on my vpceh24fx, but I got a blue screen of death, it is the hard drive. I'm considering an upgrade and the ssd memory expansion now. Should what ssd and memory cards I expect to receive vegas pro 12? In addition, vaio pc recgonize will new drive? How can I install windows 7 after upgrade? Thanx

    Hello woc2,.

Thanks for posting in the community!

If you try to install a software on your laptop, so you met a blue screen, there is a strong possibility that this is just a software problem: maybe you installed incorrectly. You can help out for the average time before jumping to conclusions.

Kindly try to perform the system restore first to when it still works very well. Otherwise, please do the system recovery.

SSD upgrade, size matters. As long as the replacement SSD has the same size as the original one, it should work. However, you must install a retail version of Windows 7 more download drivers one by one to http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=VPCEH24FX&template_id=1®ion_id=1&tab=download#/do...  You can use the recovery disks, or that you created or one of Sony, with the traditional hard drive Serial ATA (the one currently installed)

Upgrade memory, as much as possible, get the same type than what is in the machine. Must not however exceed max of 8 GB.

Please consult your card model VPCEH24FX. With regard to the Vegas Pro 12 system requirements, visit http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegaspro.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite-C55-A-1NU - upgrade of RAM and SSD upgrade information

I have a Toshiba Satellite C55-A-1NU and I want to know if it is possible to replace the optical drive with an SSD? Can someone tell me what I need to do? What type of rack and SSD should I buy. Thank you

I also want to improve the ram memory, the laptop has only 1 slot 4 GB ddr3 1600 mhz, but is single channel. Which model should I buy to work in dual channel I use cpu-z to identify the model and it shows me hmt451s6mfr8a do I need exactly this or I can put another ty of manufacturing 2.

This upgrade with SSD is not supported by Toshiba, so everything you do is at your risk. Check this forum please. If I m remembering although some people have already posted own experiences.
I think that in most cases they ordered this caddy HDD/SSD but the drive was not recognized at all.

In my opinion, you must perform these updates.

    RAM
Up to 16 GB of RAM according to specification for laptop, you can put on level and on the lower part under the cover of memory, you should find two memory locations. How to change RAM is described in s. manuals check please page 72.

The memory modules are compatible RAM for your laptop model:
    4 GB DDR3L-1600-PA5104U-1M4G
    8 GB DDR3L-1600-PA5104U-1M8G

  • HP Pavilion dv7 / LM00EA #UUW: upgrade of the possible SSD for my Pavilion dv7?

    Hello

I want to upgrade my computers hardrive portable SSD-Drive. It says on my laptop service guide that only intel based model supports on the ssd drive. However, my flag has AMD Turion. Anyone would confirm, weather, I can upgrade the HDD-> SSD?

In addition, if the upgrade is possible, can I install the current HARD disk drive in the second location on hard disk? If so, are there needed additional cables/adapters.

I tried to find this info on the HP partsurfer, but no luck.

    Any help much appreciated...

    Hello

Much better now. The following link shows the specifications of your machine:

    http://support.HP.com/au-en/document/c02776731

It's a HP Pavilion dv7-6010eo. Currently it has 500 GB SATA (7200 RPM), you can switch to the SSD. You can also put a second HDD of your machine, but you need to caddy and connector. Please visit the following link:

  • Upgrade memory and disk SSD Qosmio F50-108

    Hello!

    After 3 years, I decided to upgrade my [Qosmio F50 | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/jsp/SUPPORTSECTION/discontinuedProductPage.do?service=EU&PRODUCT_ID=1 055727 & DISC_MODEL = 1] new SSD and additional memory.

With a drive, I'm pretty well agreed the [Intel 320 120 GB SSD | http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/solid-state-drives/solid-state-drives-320-series.html], unless you recommend something different maybe?

But I have the problem before deciding what size memory to take. Now, I 3 072 (2 048 + 1 024) MB DDR2 (800 MHz), and CPU - z says it runs in mode dual channel with timings 6-6-6-18(on memory stick it says 6-6-6-12?). I watched [Patriot DDR2 SO-DIMM 4 GB 800 MHz | 787 http://patriotmemory.com/products/detailp.jsp?prodline=3&catid=33&prodgroupid=59&id= & type = 5], and he said just in time of latency case 6. I have not found on the internet what timings there so I have a question:

If I buy 1 (one) memory stick (Patriot) and replace it with 1 GB stick in laptop, old 2 GB + 4 GB new work in dual channel, or do I have to buy 2 x 4 GB (Patriot)?

If this does not work, you rather 6 GB with channel single or dual channel 4 GB.

    Thanks for all the answers!

    > I pretty much agreed with drive, Intel 320 120 GB SSD, unless you recommend something different maybe?

I think it shouldn't be a big problem with the compatibility because the HARD disk controller supports the SATA interface and the SATA SSD drive should also be compatible.

    > If I buy 1 (one) memory stick (Patriot) and replace it with 1 GB stick in laptop, old 2 GB + 4 GB new work in dual channel, or do I have to buy 2 x 4 GB (Patriot)?

Dual Channel does not require two execatly the same memory modules.

So, theoretically, you can use a module of RAM 2 GB and 4 GB RAM module.
I advise to use 4 GB of RAM in A slot and 2 GB of RAM in slot B

But the two modules must supports the same speed (800 Mhz), otherwise the module more quickly would be pointing down.

  • I want to upgrade my HDD to SSD on a 13 "MacBook Pro model 2011.

I want to upgrade the 512 GB drive HARD on my MacBook Pro 13 "2011 model to a 1 TB SSD.

I would like to know if it is safe and that it will improve the performance of my computer?

If your computer is under warranty I would take a first service provider since the upgrade of the disk hard yourself may void the warranty.

Hard disks have magnetic disks called platters, that something similar to a needle, called a head, uses to read and write data.  Solid disks have no moving parts so the data is read and written much faster than a hard drive.  From a HDD for one SSD must have a performance increase, but it will only increase performance when the determinant of the performance are the storage of read and write times.  The amount of applications that are running at the same time is always dependent on the amount of system memory.  The time that processor intensive tasks such as converting video and audio can take is still dependent on the processor.  Several components material impact on the overall performance of the computer system from a disk HARD of a DDI will only have an impact on performance when the data is written to or read from storage.

  • Possibility of upgrade of Tablet 2 SSD?

I would like to get a little more space, since I have very little installed on my 2 Tablet and only 9 concerts for free. Even though I know I'll void my warranty, I wonder if someone has successfully upgraded its SSD in 2 tablets. If so, advice?

    Thank you!

TPT2 use MEM for storage, IIRC. So it is not trivial to convert the favorite SSD.

  • Pavilion DV6 2155dx: upgrade HARD drive to SSD

I want to upgrade my laptop Hp HDD to the SSD. Very successful on the 2 HP desktops. But not a great success on the laptop. Windows does not start with the installed SSD. Black screen with how to text of amendments, but no solution. Checking the BIOS it seems too basic and has no provision to select the correct setting. How can I upgrade the laptop to recognise and start of the SSD, as desktop computers.

Problem solved. Maybe this helps someone else.

For reference, the SSD HARD drive migration has been completed with Samsung software tools.

Although a similar migration was very successful on 2 offices of HP prior as the PC starts fine, this time the laptop set to level did not boot from SSD.

Based on the reviews elsewhere on the web, with the portable operating from the original HARD disk, I adjusted the BIOS boot sequence to boot from the internal CD-ROM. I was then already migrated SSD HARD drive. Then I started from a prior agreement prepared the repair Windows 7 Bootable disc - now I know why they are so very precious! - and started to repair startup disk said. After a few additional steps miners, he says the problem fixed and carried out traditional, clean startups.

Also, I can confirm that the Pavilion DV6 works very well with a 250 GB SSD. Most good, this is a speedster. There is therefore no limitations to 160 GB the HP Document seems to suggest.

  • Upgrade of RAM and SSD

I have two questions about my dv7-6b77dx.

    (1) upgrade of RAM:

I want to upgrade my memory to 4 4 + 2 + 4. What I need to get the same exact 4 GB of RAM (CPU - said Z it's Samsung M471B5273DH0-CH9) or can I get the 4 GB of RAM? I ask this because I do not know if both modules must be the same for memory dual channel. Also, the new Samsung models 30nm with less power consumption while my 4 GB is 40nm. Would it be a problem if I am connected a 30nm and 40 nm?

    (2) SSD:

I want to make sure that AHCI is enabled for the new SSD. I googled and it says it should be configurable in BIOS but my BIOS isn't that kind of environment. My Core I7 2670QM processor and I couldn't have something on the chipset CPU - Z other than "Intel." How can I activate the AHCI or check if it is enabled?

    Thank you very much!

If you want to upgrade memory for the first time, it is installed to work always buy and install a pair of identical modules. Do not mix and match manufacturers or of the different capacity modules or configurations.

The installed chipset is Intel HM65 Express chipset. Your laptop supports SSDS. Normally, you can verify that ACHI is used by checking the configuration of the BIOS. It's unfortunate, but a BIOS HP does not gve you the ability to configure SATA IDE (emulation) or AHCI.  You can use a free utility called PCWizard 2010 to determine what disk controller is installed and the operating mode in. Comes from the following image in Windows 7 and the PC is a desktop computer with an ASUS Crosshair IV Formula motherboard

    Thank you very much!

  • T60p Vista Business to Win 7 Pro (upgrade) on the new SSD

My T60p 4 years needs an upgrade.  I plan a (Lenovo preload) Vista Business upgrade to Windows 7 Professional (upgrade multimedia).  Since my HD is rather small (80 GB) and getting noisy, I intend to replace it with a 120 GB SSD intel.

What is the best way to tackle the upgrade?  I guess I could clone the current HD to the SSD then clean install from upgrade disc.  Is there a way to install the SSD disk without involving the current player / OS from the win7 upgrade media?  I intend to reinstall applications once the operating system is installed.

Also, don't I have to worry about any special partitioning for the T60p?  I haven't yet decided how much of the thinkpad applications I'll install.  I use windows to manage bluetooth and wireless instead of thinkpad apps.  I use the fingerprint through apps thinkpad reader.

You can directly install windows 7 OS with support for upgrading without having to install Vista (unless you want).

    Follow these instructions:

  • Upgrade the X120e HDD SSD

I had my two years, bought just before the SSD X120e became affordable.  Now, I would like to upgrade.  I was wondering if there is a compatible with my system SSD.  Maybe: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/product-and-parts/detail.page?&LegacyDocID=MIGR-76749?  In my opinion, it supports X 200, ThinkPad X 201, X200s, X201s, X 220, X 200 Tablet, X 201 Tablet, but it's like the X120e disappeared from the support database.  Do you believe that the X120e will support an SSD, perhaps with a firmware update?  Thank you very much for your answers.

I put in a Samsung 830 128 GB (7mm thick, 2.5 inches) in my x120e. Has worked fine for many months now. I don't know any similar SSD, including those with the largest capacity, works very well. Make sure you get the right thickness of the SSD (7mm). No need to update the firmware. Clone your HARD drive on the SSD via the USB port, (I used EaseUS Todo free sw), swap in the SSD drive and you're good to go.

  • trying to upgrade HDD to the SSD in my dv2415nr. Supposed to be compatible SSD Crucial does not match

I was told that there is an adapter on the motherboard to match my Samsung SATA hard drive of 160 GB at 5400 RPM.  Can anyone confirm that there is such an adapter before I screw up my motherboard?

    Hello:

The adapter is located on your old hard drive. You must remove it and put it on your SSD.

I hope that you can get an SSD to work in your laptop. I don't know of anyone who has been able to get one to work in this series of model with the AMD/NVidia hardware.
