Upgrade of Windows 8-64 - bit version of Lightroom-0xc000007b application error

I just upgraded my desktop PC operating system Windows 7 64 bit to 64 bit of Windows 8 Pro. The migration went very smoothly, with the exception of justone - Adobe Lightroom 64-bit version 4.2 won't start. Whenever I try to open the application, what happens with a 0xc000007b error code.

Research on the web, I saw a number of suggestions I've tried to do...

-uninstall, restart, and then reinstall Lightroom. Same error 0xc000007b

-uninstall, reboot, run ccleaner to clear registry issues, restart, download the latest version of Lightroom site Adobe Web (4.2.1) and then reinstall Lightroom. Same error 0xc000007b

As a solution, I found that Lightroom 64-bit to uninstall and reinstall the 32-bit version (by selecting the program setup32.exe, rather than install Lightroom 4 exe program) gives me a working copy of Lightroom. This does not mean, however, that I use the 32-bit version of Lightroom, rather than the 64-bit version that I got the job before the upgrade to Windows 8.

Why I get problems with the 4.2.1 0xc00000fb 64-bit version of Lightroom and how can I fix the problem, so I can go back to the 64-bit version, I had to work under Windows 7 immediately before moving to Windows 8?

Thanks for the suggestions!

  • Someone knows how to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit to dm3?

    Hi all

    Recently, I bought my computer laptop pavilion dm3-1028tx (sp9300, 4 GB ddr3). Unfortunely only it comes with oem windows 7 Home premium 32-bit instead of windows 7 64-bit.

    Due to the characteristic of 32 bits, its only 3 GB of ram could be used.

    IM plan to upgrade my windows 7 Home premium 32-bit to 64-bit windows 7 home premiun.

    I tried to contact microsoft in my country, they said I should ask to HP, if I could spend my windows because its OEM.

    Someone knows how to upgrade my windows 7 32 bit to windows 7 64 bit without having to buy a new one? Please help me I do not know.

    Thanks a lot guys

    Unfortunately, you will need to buy the 64-bit version, unless you can get HP to you give 64-bit free citing inability to use all of the memory as a customer support/advocacy.   But you should check on HP website to see if your model was first 64-bit drivers.

    He will have to do a new installation as well.  And if HP is not actively support 64-bit for your model, you will lose the HP software (most consider bloatware anyway).  You will also lose built in recovery option.  So, at least, make sure you create your restore disks.

    You may be able to wash to recover the partition, but I don't know how you would be able to use it without recovery software that HP has loaded.

  • I am unable to get the computer manufacturer to send the disc to reinstall Vista. I tried to do this task almost 3 weeks. I need to reinstall Vista so that I can upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit. Please help me. I have the product code.

    I mistakenly installed the 32-bit version of Windows 7, and I try to install the 64-bit version.  Info on other forums says there is no way to do it without a disk... I do not have with the computer.

    To go from 32 bit to 64 bit, you have to do with a FULL 64-bit version, by performing a clean install. so I don't see what the problem on Vista reinstall is.

    Unless you have Vista 64 bit, it will not help you upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit.

    How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • How to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit

    Windows 7 Professional 32 bit DVD I bought at a retail store. But now I want to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit. Can someone tell me what what should I do? I know I have a new installation of my formatting system drive. But my question is should I buy again Windows 7 64 bit DVD separately or download Windows 7 64 bit online and can use 32-bit series that I have to activate?

    You can use the same product key that allows you to enable the 32-bit version.

    You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

    Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

    Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/07/using-Windows-easy-transfer-in-Windows-7/

    Boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
    When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

    Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

    You will receive the following warning:

    The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

    (At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

    The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

    Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

    You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

    If use you Windows Update, it will install a printer driver, but the scanner does not work, Xerox has not yet developed a driver for Windows 7 for this printer/scanner. The latest driver is for Windows Vista since 2008. I hope they won't disappoint us and come up with some appropriate support of Windows 7. If anyone has a work around to install the scanner, I'm all ears.

  • Windows 7 32 bit version product key - where can I get this (UK)?

    Windows 7 32 bit version product key - where can I get this (UK)?

    Product keys are not sold separately, "retail" versions of Windows are products in box with installation support 32 and 64 Bit and plastic a card inside the box that contains the key. Anyone who sells the right key is most like a crook.

    Since Microsoft stopped selling Windows 7 about 2 years ago, it is very unlikely, you can find media "Retail".

    OEM versions (which are related to the 1st computer they are installed / activated on and can not be moved / used on another computer) but may still be available.

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forums. According to the description, you are unable to work with Foxprox for the Dos Version under Windows 7 64-bit.

    Allows Windows XP Mode you use older applications that are not compatible with Windows 7 or not compatible with a particular architecture of Windows 7 (such as Windows 7 64-bit). You can install each Dos application in XP compatibility mode. The steps are as below:
