Upgrade PDM to the question of the ASDM

I'm about to upgrade my Pix from 6.3 to 7.0 (2) and I want to upgrade to ASDM PDM but can not find documentation on how to do this upgrade. I can only find the ASDM software user guides. Can someone link me the documentation on the actual installation process?

Thank you

Hi rolandshum,

Update the ios/os first img in the "normal route" (copy tftp flash) charging, and then the same with the asdm img.

(6.x days you had to copy tftp flash: pdm, it is no longer necessary)

IOS / ASDM come in a pair, so make sure you load the right version.

  • ProBook 440 G2: RAM Upgrade will void the warranty?

    Hello

After a lot of dilemma, I buy THISlaptop.

My main concern is the "on-site 5-year guarantee" it comes with.

This laptop has now only 4 GB of RAM. I want to add an another 4 GB myself.

In doing so, it will take Bay opening to service the laptop.

Open myself for a RAM upgrade will void the warranty?

In addition, no one knows how much total RAM this computer supports? How many slots is there?

The page of the product didn't.

I tried to contact HP technical support by email, and I have to enter a serial number to reach them. I entered the serial number of my laptop current (and also a probook), but I think that the agent did not read my email properly. Instead of answering my question, he sent me a link to extend the warranty on my laptop today.

    Thank you...

    Hello

According to the Manual, it has 2 slots:

See Page 2, 3, 47, 48, to get the instructions before and during the replacement process. Even if it is a simple procedure if you do not have confidence in replacement, it gives to the HP service center, they will do it for you. Opening the door to service memory will not void the warranty - but if you daamage something in the replacement process, it will void the warranty.

Please get the exact configuration and preference of the same brand (like this one in the slot) of RAM, mentioned in the manual.

You can run this toolto know the details of the installed RAM sticks & moving forward with the purchase of od sizes appropriate sticks needed to make it to 8 GB in total.

Just to start with this one:

I also have Windows for Mac.

I assume you mean that you run Windows in a virtual machine such as Parallels? If so, the machine virtual peut must be updated.

When you install Snow Leopard, make sure to choose the option to do a custom install, so you can select the check box for Rosetta, or it will not install and PowerPC applications will not run. Not a huge deal if you miss. The first time you try to run a PPC application if Rosetta has not been installed, OS X offers to download and install it for you.

Firefox works under Snow Leopard, which is the oldest version of OS X Mozilla always supports. Safari installed with SL will remain grossly outdated and should not be used.

Nothing will happen to your documents, although I can't say with certainty that all the apps from third party that allows you to open will not be updated. They can. They cannot. For example, Office 2004 will run as long as Rosetta is installed.

    Hi the prey,

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

You should check the settings of the computer BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) to boot from the CD/DVD. Check the manual or the support of the computer Web site for the same.

Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

Run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see if your computer is compatible to install Windows 7.

    Hello

The best way is to clean install and start over.

In addition, it is not legal to have both installed version that the license is for a single installation.

If it is a dual boot with 32 bit and 64 bit installed on different partitions, there would not have been the conflicts you would have never started in one or the other.

    See you soon.

Help, windows 7 upgrade advisor requires the removal of the player engine. I removed the Rhapsody, but it is still asking deletion. NOTHING I can find in my computer associated to Real Player. So please don't tell me no "Uninstall" that there is no evidence in the Uninstall list. Unless it is somewhere else. So, how can I continue my effort to upgrade to Windows 7? I tried twice already and he goes all the way to the end and then says installation failed and he returned to Vista. I have Vista Home Premium.

    Hello

I suggest you to follow a few troubleshooting steps to solve the problem on your computer.

    Method:

    Delete files using disk cleanup

  • How to disable the asdm sessions.

    Hello to all the experts,

For some reason I can't go to the session of the asdm.

You sh asdm sessions, it shows that I have 0-4 sessions in progress, but I don't have any session going at it, it was my previous access. He did not clear when I left the game.

Try to erase with 'asdm disconnect 0', he takes the command, but do when an asdm session show. He is also always connected; so I can't start another session of asdm to the pix. PIX work os version 7.01. Any help on this will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any input from the forum. Joseph

To the best of my knowledge, there is a bug in version 7.01, I suggest to update for the maintenance release 7.0 (4) or above release.

  • Upgrading ISE to the deployment of node 2.0 - two

    Hello!

As we know that the ISE 1.3 can be upgraded to ISE 2.0 in two different ways. One is to use the upgrade of the Application that is fully automatic and the other way is the new facility of ISE 2.0 (full to the top of the nodes of ISE before installation).

Tutorials I've seen so far, described primarily on Application upgrade method, but I would like to know about the new facility of ISE 2.0. I choose this option, because it gives us more granular control of the upgrade.

If anyone have tried this second method for the ISE2.0 upgrade, please share your experience, and give us the procedure step by step. Thank you in advance.

    Bala

    Hello Bala-

You can do one or the other. Personally, I prefer the direct upgrade path as the back/restore doesn't cary all settings and configurations. In addition, you will need to get new license keys as the ISE system will be new/different, so your old license keys will not work.

    I hope this helps!

Thank you for evaluating useful messages!

  • Transfer the image to the ASDM ASA on the anyconnect VPN

I'm relatively new to the ASA firewalls.  My previous experience of firewall is a firewall provider.  I work with an ASA 5515 - X running ASA 915 and ASDM 713.  I connect Windows 8 and therefore improve the ASDM to 731.  I've done it before no problem.  My problem with this particular update is that I really need to download the image to a VPN connection.  I can't configure a NAT device on my end to allow the ASA to connect to my public IP address - so I can connect to the ASA via anyconnect.  I can't SSH in public IP address of the ASA (for now) but I can't transfer the asdm image obviously not my public IP b/c I have no NAT on my end.  So I connect my PC to the anyconnect service and get an IP VPN.  I need to run the command:

    copy ftp://user: [email protected] / * *//asdm-731.bin disk0:

I get the following output: for access to the ftp://user: [email protected] / * *//asdm-731.bin...
    Error opening % ftp://user: [email protected] / * *//asdm-731.bin (Permission denied)

Anyone know good ways to solve this CLI only?

    Thanks for your help.

    Zach

Looks like a FTP permission problem. The user has read access? Also, make sure that your 8 victory is tuned for FTP requests on map virtual VPN.

one of the other option is to use a host of jump in your lan behind asa and open the asdm from there, using asdm, it will be easier to copy the file to asa flash.
