upgrade recommended CVI2013-> CVI2015

Hello

OR Update Service offers you the new CVI2015. There is a note that this "installation does not replace any other versions of LabWindows/CVI.

I would like to replace my version of 2013 by the new (while keeping user settings as much as possible).

What is the way recommended - first uninstall CVI2013? Or it uninstall after installing CVI2015?

Thank you.

So the bitter news, is that the Update Service cannot be used to upgrade CVI this way - it can only be used to install another version. Personally, I find that disappointing. OK, now I know and I hope that CVI users are notified.

  • Upgrade recommendations please

    Aloha,

Currently I have a cluster four host sitting at ESX 3.5U4. Earlier in the year, I was about to upgrade to ESX4.0U1. Another project came and he had to wait. Now we fast forward until today and I can see the upgrade happening in the future near semi. But my, how things have changed! I now have a multitude of directions, I can go. I can go ESX 4.0U2, ESX 4.1 or ESXi 4.1.

I have very limited to the 4.x and ESXi times. No matter what I do, going to 4.x will be a big change. The question I have is the size of a leap to make? Y at - there a big difference between ESX 4.0U2 and ESX 4.1? It of time to bite the bullet ESXi - or would it be?

    Mahalo,

    Bill

Honestly, just talk about operation and reliability, there is no real differences between ESX 4.0U2 (or just ESX 4.0) and ESX 4.1.

If you use ESX 3.5, is perhaps best to upgrade your 4.1 ESX host directly.  As you say, if you can upgrade to ESX 4.1, upgrading to ESX 4.0U2 would be an unnecessary step.

In fact, I have some ESX/ESXi hosts on 4.0U1 version and I don't plan to upgrade to version 4.1 in the short term.  Not worth for me.

However, I have a few ESXi 3.5, and my intention is to upgrade to ESXi 4.1 directly.

    Best wishes / Saludos

  • Fonts I have installed in the font book are missing after the upgrade 10.11.6

I ran the upgrade recommended this morning at El Capitan 10.11.6 on my end 2011 MacBook Pro. A certain font was not available when I opened an Illustrator document, so I opened the font book to see why and found that hundreds of fonts, I entered the book of policies over the past year or more are missing. I know that real fonts are still in my police records, but a number of hours of work participated in their addition to the font book and organize them into folders. Is all the work is lost, where can I access the preferences that contain this information somehow? What a brake if not. Font book does not yet have all folders that I put in place, they are just empty and only the core system fonts are loaded.

Unless I can access the old prefs I guess I also install all my software again, to make sure that necessary fonts are loaded?

    Help!

Use your backup Time machine restore.

Your book plist police is located on via Finder > go > go to folder, copy and paste:

    ~/Library/preferences/com. Apple.FontBook.plist

  • In CVI2013 'mobile projects' need of a reconstruction

    Hello

Although the bug reported below may be covered by the Bug No.433769 , it is perhaps not obvious so I wanted to share with you in case you have been reckless enough to upgrade to CVI2013...

I'm working on a project on two different computers and so to transfer all the files back, i.e. the * .c, * .h, *.ico, *.uir, *.prj and *.cws files. In the past, it worked more or less okay with CVI2013 it fails: If you have a testament more recent file CVI2013 IUR use it not but one in the folder build CVI... so use the menu command 'rebuild' the standard 'build' button is not sufficient, you will see the old user interface...

    Hello Wolfgang,

I have reproduced the issue and it seems that it is indeed related to bug 433769.

Thank you for this information and best regards,

  • Pavilion DV8000 upgrade CPU, RAM, HD & OS

    Hello world

I have a HP Pavilion Dv8000 (Dv8336ea is the exact model number).  I intend to upgrade the processor, RAM, hard drive and OS and have a few questions about the limits of upgrade on this computer.

He is currently running XP pro, but I intend to upgrade the operating system to Windows 7 64-bit, if I can find an upgrade of the CPU 64 bit appropriate.

The vehicle currently has an Intel centrino Duo CPU T2300, but I'm not sure which processors are compatible. y at - it an easy way to identify compatibility? I know that it can be removed, but what would be an upgrade recommended for optimal performance?

Is there a limit to the size of the hard drive, can I install it? He had a hard duel disks. Is there a problem with the installation of a hard drive 7200 RPM? It's the BIOS that limits the size of the hard drive that can be installed?

Finally, what would be the limit for RAM after CPU and operating system upgraded. What defines the limits of the RAM in a computer?

Help with any or all of these Q greatly appreciated!

    Hello:

The GeForce Go 7600 is a graphic adapter Windows 7 and should be able to run all the pleasure of the eyes in Windows 7 and have the same resolution that you had in XP.

Try the latest nVidia driver released for it.

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista_win7_64bit_179.48_beta.html

I see that you have a wide screen monitor... According to the resolution of your screen, with the appropriate driver, he should be able to get 1440 x 900.  That should give you the view you've been waiting for.

3 GB of memory can be used with a 4 GB max RAM capacity is perfectly normal, even with a 64 bit OS. You need the chipset Intel 965 for the 64-bit OS in order to 'see' all 4 GB of memory. You have the 945 chipset.

  • upgrade-actvation key already used?

This is the second major time an application reads the instructions oddly. I do not understand:, why is the function of upgrade recommending a new key request when he quite sure that I already use the button turned on? This update was to iron out the problems and recommended by the windows magazines. The reinstallation of the operating system first asked me for the key, and then when it was installed - so is not the same tone? Upgrading one already - troublesomemachine can cause problems even more to the surface.

If you can get the stable machine at all, run a CHKDSK and SFC command to see if they can fix some of the problems...

    Click the Start button
    type in the search box
    CMD. EXE
Right-click on the single file that is
    Select run as administrator
-the elevated command prompt window should appear
    At the command prompt, type
    CHKDSK C: /R
    and press the Enter key
We'll tell you that the drive is locked and the CHKDSK runs the next time he started - press Y and restart. The chkdsk command will take a few hours depending on the size of the disk, so be patient!

Once executed, the command CHKDSK Windows should start normally (possibly after a second auto) - then run the SFC

SFC - SFC System - Instructions

  • EQL / VSM / MEM / vSphere upgrade order

    Hello

I see now that v8, MEM 1.3 EQL and VSM 4.5 have been released as EPA so I can upgrade to vSphere 6!

Is there an order of upgrade recommended for all of these components?  I guess EQL v8 first, then the environment vSphere, then MEM, then VSM?

I think I read THAT MEM 1.2 was not compatible with vSphere 6?  If this is the case, I guess I have to switch to the RR before upgrading vSphere and then apply 1.3 MEM?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I agree first of all of the firmware on board.  Remove the MEM, then upgrade vSphere Server v6 then ESXi nodes to v6.0.  You can do MEM or VSM in order any at that time.

    Kind regards

  • How to prevent the automatic upgrade for Windows 10

Press reports say that Microsoft will 'soon' 10 Windows upgrade recommended for Windows 7, leading to the automatic download and installation.  I don't want that.  I have upgraded to Windows 10, then returned to 7 (leaving an extra 100 GB of something on my hard drive).  I intend to hold out until the last minute, and perhaps later.

So, how to prevent this scheduled automatic upgrade?  Do I have to turn off updates in Windows 7 and manually review every update?  What I read who cannot help because Microsoft does not offer as much detail about the upgrades as in the past.

Computers were a hobby for me in 1980.  After 35 years the computers are now a tool and their maintenance is a chore.  I'll learn Windows 10 when I need to and not before.  I really don't want to use 10 at home and at work 7.  When my employer upgraded, so I will.

    Hello DilbertFan,

For the first year that Windows 10 is out, he will be free to users with a license for Windows 7 or 8.1.

If you don't know that you do not want to update then please copy the text following that I have which is in italics below and paste it into Notepad.

The Publisher of the registry Windows Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Gwx]"DisableGwx"=dword:00000001

Once you have that then go ahead and save it to your desktop and save it under "block 10" or something like that. ""

Return to your desktop and locate this file and change the extension from .txt to .reg file

Save it, and then double-click the file. It is to modify the registry to block the upgrade of Windows 10. I use a lot.

    Thank you

  • The upgrade of Inspiron 9300 Hard Drive not recognized

I bought an upgrade of my Inspiron 9300 laptop hard drive:

Old hard drive: TG754 Hard Drive, 60G, 9.5 MM, 7.2 K Hitachi, Moraga, unleaded

New hard drive: 250 GB SATA 3 Gb s hard drive 16 MB 7200 RPM 2.5 IN. w o free fall Scorpio black

    TG754 Hard drive, 60G, 9.5 MM, Hitachi 7.2 K, Moraga, unleaded

I don't know I installed it correct (just slide in and screw it) but my problem is that my laptop does not recognize the new drive.  When starting it complains that no hard drive is, and when I boot my Windows XP it also said that no hard drive is located.

I followed the upgrade recommended Dell so I do not know why it does not work.  I read that the SATA drives require additional drivers, but I'm sure that my old drive was already a SATA drive, so I don't understand why he is not recognized.

    Help, please.  Thank you.

The 9300 has been performed in two versions - the vast majority were EIDE.  The last execution of production used SATA.  Yours is EIDE.

Readers are physically the same size and made the same carrier - but does not connect the SATA version to the motherboard (check the back both discs and you'll see why).

The EIDE version has a limit of 120G BIOS - it means not that you can not use this drive of 160 G, but the results can be unpredictable, sudden loss of all data.  Keep backups if you try a 160 - it is much safer to use a 120G.

No, a 5400 all else equal will be slower than a 7200 - but you don't have a choice, because all manufacturers have stopped making 7200 RPM EIDE (PATA) computer laptop some time ago.

Received a customer request to improve environment vsphere 5.1 to 6. Upgrade include below.

Please suggest what is the best practice for upgrade. Should I put the host to vcenter first level, then vclient, Update Manager. What things should be verified/backed up before upgrading.

    Concerning

Can I use the standard VMware CD to upgrade the host or vCenter or should I use Essentials more specific CD?

There is no difference between the installation media... the same ISO can be used for all editions of vSphere/vCenter.

Based on what I saw on KB 2057795 I should update the vCenter first, ESXi nodes later.

Yes, it is in order, all first the vCenter Server and vSphere ESXi hosts.

Can I upgrade from 5.0 to 5.5 U2 or should I perform any intermediate task?

You can go directly to version 5.5 Update 2, but for vSphere, ESXi hosts don't forget to check the HCL first just to make sure that your host supports version 5.5 Update 2.
