  • Question of upgrading the current offer PhotoShop elements 14

We currently have 3 elements PhotoShop on an XP.  This is not a typing error - we get finally over time, LOL!  Receipt of e-mail of upgrade.  We have Windows 7 which is not compatible with PhotoShop elements 3, so we have never been able to load the most recent system.  We are ditching the XP because it is no longer a supported platform.  This upgrade of our special purchase still works on an operating system of Windows 7 if we have ever loaded a Photoshop Elements to this OS?  Or do I have to buy outright and benefit from upgrades in the future?  TIA.

For as far as I know your eligible for the upgrade of the pse 14 and you shouldn't need to install PES 3 on windows 7.

When you install PES 14, it might ask you to enter your serial number of pse 3.

  • Recently bought a laptop computer; A few questions about the offer Upgrade to Windows 8

I have a few questions about the Upgrade of Windows 8 offer for new computers.  I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite S855-S5268 of amazon.com, which came with Windows 7 Home Premium.  Toshiba already has a beta version of drivers and utilities for Windows 8 for the S855 on their Web site.

    (1) I bought my laptop in July of this year, and I've not yet registered for 8 Windows Upgrade offer with Microsoft.  Am I still eligible to receive the upgrade, if I sign up soon?
    (2) if I buy the upgrade through this offer, I'll be able to download an ISO file so I can burn the installation media, or do I need to upgrade to Windows 7?
    (3) if I will be able to burn the installation media, I'll be able to erase my hard drive and do a clean install of Windows 8 (which I'd rather do, I have a lot of backups of my data).  I am aware that I would probably need to provide my product key Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM during the new installation, because it is an upgrade and not a full version; This isn't a big deal, because my Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM product key is stuck at the bottom of my laptop.
    (4) my current copy of Windows 7 is activated by seeing my BIOS (I have a traditional BIOS, not a UEFI).  If I had to switch to Windows 8 and decide then I'd rather back in Windows 7, for example, a few months later, I'll be able to do that (I burned recovery of Windows 7 with the Toshiba utility disks, which I did), and Windows 7 will continue to activate by seeing my BIOS, even after the installation (and later remove) Windows 8?
    Thank you very much!

Yes, the registration period is between June 2, 2012 to January 31, 2013.
    (2) if I buy the upgrade through this offer, I'll be able to download an ISO file so I can burn the installation media, or do I need to upgrade to Windows 7?

Yes, the Upgrade Wizard of Windows 8 will allow you to create a bootable DVD or you can grab the ESD file and save it.

Yes and there are better ways to reinstall Windows 8 without using the installation disc, you can use the reset and refresh.

These steps will take you through refreshing your PC:

    · Press the Windows key + C on your keyboard to show the charms (if you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of your screen and drag your finger to the left)

    · Click settings

    · Click change PC settings

    · Click general in the left column

    · Under refresh your PC without affecting your files, click Start

Then follow the instructions that will be provided on-screen to cool your PC.

As long as you have a recovery disk which you should create or use the construction in the recovery partition, Yes, it will self activate.

  • Win 8 upgrade - the user can cause dual boot using the same license?

    Hello

Thanks to MS for offers updated Win 7 for win 8 to 14.99 USD for all new buyers of Win 7 PC after June, 2012.

I'm one of the eligible candidates for the upgrade at this price. However, I spent a lot of time, money and effort to put in place the Win 7 OS so that he could function at an optimal level I want.

My understanding of an upgrade to win 8 is to lose everything I have Win 7 and replace the entire operating system to win 8 via a download from the MS. Download Center

The problem is that I don't know if Win 8 is what I like and not sure if it is better than Windows 7. Reinstallation of Win 7 back takes time and effort.

Do I know if the user can install Win 8 to another partition primary drive c during the upgrade, retaining the original Win7 (same license) to the other partition?

If this is the case, it would be a great bonus for the new buyer of Win 7 PC, otherwise the user need to spend more money to buy to win a CD of Installation of 8 at the store and install t to separate partition.

    Thank you

You can dual boot with the free upgrade, so that you upgrade to the eligible license, in this case Windows 7. If you want to dual boot Windows 7 and Windows 8, you must buy the full version license, what is Windows 8 Pro for use staff system

  • Can satellite A200 (PSAFCA) - I upgrade the GPU?

    Hello

I have a Satellite A200. PSAFCA-01K00J. It is the system bought in Australia around mid-2007. There are currently a processor Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 intslalled on the system graphics.

Preliminary investigation which leads me to believe, there are limited options of upgrade for the laptop, but there seems to be a number of anomalies to lead me to think the upgrade may be at hand. For example.

In my user manual, he described my gpu in the following way:

    model lnVidia GeForce Go 7300:
128 MB external VGA DDR2 RAM (depending on the model you have purchased).

The external Word I think fact now refers to the interface type. As some A200 Intel 258 MB marked as integrated Gpu (and I'm the average current integrated without possibility of upgrade). This offers as well the nVidia is not integrated and leads me to believe it's connection MXM and so editable / extensible.

Another thing to back up this idea is software Nvidia located in the control panel includes a section on system information and she calls the PCI express X 16 bus. If I'm not mistaken refers to a normal PCIe - certainly editable location. However being a laptop they might have it Mobile and so Mobile PCI Express Module and I'm back to MXM with ability to upgrade.

This is confirmed if he please, and are there toshiba fans that could lead me to a card apropriate - perhaps off the coast of the Nvidia tray or even a chance for a toshiba laptop later. at least 256 MB or better 512.

I have ike using this laptop, never had a problem. just be to hang out, and given that I would not buy a new car every time that I ran out of gas, I don't want to buy a new computer, when I am more then happy with the one I have for all other functions.

    Thank you

    Hello!

In my opinion it's not possible to change the graphics card. As far as I know the graphics chip is soldered on the motherboard.

In addition, if the graphics card would be exchangeable I think than the motherboard or BIOS will not support the new graphics card. The point is that laptops are not favourable so upgrade as a desktop PC.

Check this Toshiba document and think about it:

  • Will that be self assembled systems quality OEM license for supply of upgrade of Windows 8?

It's windows 8 upgrade of the offer. Do-it-yourself systems assembled with license OEM to benefit from this offer? Because self assembled system have no system model number to register with the registration page.

    Registration page: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows/shop

Would be very useful if a Microsoft representative could answer this question.

Nope, must be a branded computer from a manufacturer like DELL, HP, Sony, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, Gateway or one of the many brands.

  • 3.1.1 to the 3.1.2 upgrade

    Hello

I have apex 3.1.1 installed and I want to update to 3.1.2.
Unfortunately I have not access to Metalink to get the Group of hotfixes. The complete installation available on OTN seems not work with version 3.1.1 of the apex.
Does anyone know if it is possible to spend the full 3.1.1 to 3.1.2 with the installation package and how?

    Thanks for your answers,

    Sébastien

    Hello

I used 3.1.0 and just upgraded to 3.1.2 with the following two methods: (no access to Metalink)

1 before that I wanted to move from 3.1.0 to 3.1.1, but if just run the script to run in the full installation package, it went wrong, is in conflict with the Flows_030100 schema, because it is not a final upgrade, retained the name of schema.

I checked with someone on this forum, they said that I need to remove the flow diagram and then run the script.

I'm a little doubt as the first. so.

My apex based 10gXE in a single system

    1. I have disinstalled due to 10gXe and then reinstalled all and then upgrade with apex 2 to 3.1.2.
others are as described in the installation guide.

Either way, my db is very low.

    2. my other computer is based on 10 g enterprise Edition and http server.
I've disinstalled all first diagram FLOWS_030100 login as sys, then under sqlplus > drop flows_030100 user (no need to abandon the scheme apex_public_user and flows_files)

and then run the installer as described in the installation guide.

and then,'s done it, you even don't need to copy the image directory again, because it is unchanged.

And NDDN method saves a lot of time and energy.

    ----------------------------------------------

So, just drag the current user FLOWS_030100 and follow the installation guide

    Good luck!!

  • Update license page

Once, when downloading updates, it gave me license on the Windows Update page - during the download.  He's never worked since. I'm not offered the license terms, and the downloads fail. What is the problem? (For this reason, I have to manually download in the microsoft Download Center - which is not too practical.)

    Hi RobKarLat,

    1. during the upgrade install was offered license agreement?

    2. you receive an error message trying to update?

I suggest that reset you the component of Windows Update and check if you can install the updates.
