  • The upgrade to Acrobat 9 Pro for 10 equalivent with Pitstop plugin

We are upgrading to Acrobat 9 Pro 10 Pro (or equalivent). We have the Pitstop Pro plugin, and I have a LOT of action with graphics lists. What do I need to back up, and are there any questions that I need to know? We also have the AutoBookmark Professional plug. Are there problems with it?

Sounds like a question for people of Pitstop, not to Adobe. I have no idea about the compatibility of their products with Acrobat, that some of us can use Pitstop and be aware.

  • Upgrade to Acrobat 9 pro to Acrobat Pro DCn for Mac

I bought Acrobat Pro DC for Mac as an upgrade from my previous old Acrobat 9 Pro. Unfortunately, when try asked the serial number of my old version, Acrobat 9 PRO does not appear in the menu (ita starts with Acrobat 10). How can I do?

The answer is you can't. The only versions of Acrobat software eligible for upgrade to Acrobat DC are 10 Acrobat and Acrobat 11. Unfortunately, your only option with Acrobat 9 (or any other previous version of Acrobat) is to buy a full license (not updated). Please contact Adobe customer service (which is not here) for a refund or Exchange.

  • What are my options for upgrading to Acrobat 8 Pro?

I have a user who sometimes creates and modifies forms using Acrobat 8 Pro. It uses Live Cycle for some forms. We need to upgrade it to a newer version. I am aware that Live Cycle is now a separate license. What are my upgrade options - if any? Just buy a new license for Acrobat Pro and Live Cycle? Can I still purchase XI or DC my only choice. We are not interested in the characteristics of the clouds.

    Thank you.

You have no option to upgrade.

You can only buy DC Acrobat from Adobe.

You will need to purchase LiveCycle Designer separately.

  • Can I upgrade to Acrobat 9 Pro for free?

I had to reinstall Acrobat 9 Pro and expected to get AutoUpdate updates. Then I discovered that it was off-support.  Fair enough.

So I found this Web page

Buying guide | Adobe Acrobat Pro XI

which suggests that I can update for free.

Download and try the upgrade fails, but when he asks the previous version it gray-out my V9, indicating (I think) that newer versions are extensible.

I must have misunderstood the buying guide.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you.

Certainly not free to upgrade to the current version (11), but it is always up to date. Older versions (8.7..) is no longer get a discount.

I could be wrong, but I think you may be reading 'right to upgrade' as "the right of free update.

  • Upgrade tips - Acrobat 9 Pro Acrobat Pro 11 (CS4)

I currently have Adobe CS4 Web Premium installed on my Windows 7 desktop PC. I need to upgrade to Acrobat Pro 11... but I want to install Acrobat Pro 11 on my laptop Windows 8, as well as on my desktop PC. My laptop does not currently installed CS4 Web Premium, and if I'm not mistaken, I don't think that CS4 will only work on Windows 8 in any case.

I seem to enjoy a purchase of Adobe store upgrade. My concern is that I will be able to install and activate the Acrobat Pro 11 Upgrade successfully on my laptop Windows 8?

Software upgrade should she just a previous serial number to enter, or do you actually have a copy of Acrobat 9 pro, already installed on the laptop? Woould have my serial number CS4 Web Premium required, or I have to buy a full version of Acrobat Pro 11?

I would appreciate any advice on this.

I think it goes you can upgrade CS or buy the new full version. You can't spend parts of the CS. At least, that is my understanding and is compatible with the staff post just gave.

  • upgrade adobe acrobat 9 pro for XI

Hello. I get an error at the opening of some recent documents on my Adobe Acrobat Pro 9. I was wondering if I should switch to XI. The links take me to DC and I don't want to work on the cloud. I am a researcher and expert, so I have to keep my work on my desk. Any suggestions on if, when and how to upgrade. Thanks in advance.

To be quite clear that XI is completely abandoned, DC is the only option. The 'Cloud' of the name is a little misleading.

It can be bought with a subscription or license permament.

It installs and runs on your computer.

It can work with, and save the files on your computer - cloud storage is optional.

You WILL need Internet for verification of the license.

  • Should I upgrade to Acrobat 9 Pro?

    Hello all;

I got this license since 2009 and learned that it has reached "EOL" quite some time. The new free player seems to have almost all the bells/whistles that my copy of Pro 9.

In addition, 9 Pro seems to have countless vulnerabilities, which is never reassuring...

I played a little with it and love. The GUI is ahead of what I had without the greedy side of it.

    Your opinions are welcome.

    Thank you

    Steve

You can check out the new features. The new drive is not much like any version of Acrobat. Although between version 9 and the new CD player, there are a few NEW features, it's still nothing like your old Acrobat Pro. There are a few subscriptions that you can buy to give him some of the capabilities of Acrobat (such as export to PDF, combine pages, export pdf to Word), but is not built in Player automatically.

That's really all depends on what you need the software to do it. What you can do with drive and a subscription. Some things absolutely need Acrobat (like many of the Pro features).

  • New configuration of the computer with Acrobat XI Pro Upgrade package

I bought a new system with Windows 8 Pro, I throw in desktop mode. On my OLD system, I installed a purchased copy of Acrobat 5 Pro, which I later upgraded to Acrobat 8 Pro. My question is: what installation process I have to follow to install an copy newly purchased upgrade to Acrobat Pro XI on my new computer system, which currently is not one of my products from Adobe installed on it?

You only need the serial number of the previous version that qualifies you for the upgrade.  You don't need to have one of these previous versions installed on the new machine.

  • Have a new Mac, want to transfer Acrobat 9 Pro for Mac from the PC and turn them off on PC

How do you do that? I don't have an installation disc that is compatiable with Mac and I did not need to buy a new version of Adobe Acrobat currently for functions that I use.

    Hi SanJmtbr,

The Installer files and serial number would be different for different OS. If the product that works with your PC would not work with Mac.

What you need to do is to upgrade your Acrobat 9 Pro for Acrobat 11 Pro (Cross-platform Upgrade) but there is a cost involved in it. (US $199) See the link below

  • Export button in the toolbar tasks in Acrobat 9 Pro?

I had Acrobat 8 Professional and most of my work in pdf export in jpeg format. Acrobat 8 had an export button in the toolbar of work that makes a quick-click function to perform an export. I've recently upgraded to Acrobat 9 Pro, and I can't find my task button to export anywhere, or find how to add in the toolbar to work! Now I have to go to file > export > Image > Jpeg for export... which for me is quite annoying, because it's the majority of my work consists of export.

Could someone explain how to restore the export task button in the toolbar tasks, Acrobat 9 Pro? Please don't tell me that option does not exist in version 9. We could think that an upgrade to a newer version would make things more efficient, not less.

Thanks much for any help you can provide.

    J

The taskbar of export has been eliminated in Acrobat 9, but you can easily access the same capacity by using the Save as command. In addition, the ability to process several files has been added in version 9 (file > export > export multiple files) or by selecting multiple files in the menu Save as.
