Upgrade to InDesign CS5.5 5. Master Collection serial is not valid. Suggestions?
Just upgraded to InDesign CS5.5 to take advatage of new digital publishing tools. Still on the trial version as the serial number of my master collection CS5 is rejected.
I assumed that I could upgrade one of the programs in the suite of the MC, using this serial number. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You thought wrong. Suites can only be upgraded to suites. Read the fineprint and contact the sales support on product return policies.

It's the same serial number on my case and in the email, I got.

A does anyone know if its possible to update forms a Design Premium CS5 to a Master Collection CS6?
And how can I do this? Did not help on the adobe page or contact formOr any place where I can buy an update to a Version of CS6.

I am trying to download and install on my new computer, but the CS6 Master Collection download continues to fail or the file is corrupted when it is installed. I tried the solutions mentioned in the above discussion, and I still cannot install one of the applications. I checked that my user account name contains any special characters; However, I have noticed a hidden default directory located in the users folder.

I have found a solution for all users of Windows 8: you can copy a previous installation (the Adobe program directory) to the same folder and try to run the applications. This works for Photoshop 64-bit. For other applications to work, I had to do the same thing, but for the Adobe Program Files (x 86) directory.
I tested to see if the Master Collection install on a new install of Windows 8, and I found that I still have the same error. The previous configuration worked because it was on a different machine with a different material. So, you can find the Master Collection will install on a machine but won't be on the other. In any case, if you get the above error, reinstalling will not fix it.

"Setup failed to initialize. File not found. ' or 'could not initialize installation. This could be due to missing files.
first of all, rename folder OOBE OOBE.old.
to find the OOBE:
Win 64 bit OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
Win 32 bit OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
Mac os: HD > library > application support of > adobe > caps
Mac os: USER > library > application support of > adobe > OOB
If it fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
If you use an installation dvd:
Copy the contents of the drive in a desktop folder and install from this directory.
If you are using a mac:
1. try to create a new user account in Mac with administrator privileges.
2. connect to the new user, navigate to Mac HD > Application > utilities > Adobe Installer folder, locate products such as Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and uninstall the
3. navigate to the user library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.
4. navigate to Mac HD > library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.

Can not register Flash Builder Premium 4.6 with CS6 Master Collection serial number

I'm trying to license Flash Builder 4.6 Premium accompanying the CS6 Master Collection by using the serial number for CS6. I have installed CS6 Master Collection and then a license all products successfully but for Flash Builder Premium 4.6. When I run Flash Builder, it says that it is still in trial mode. When I try to license by using the serial number supplied with CS6, it said that the serial number is not valid.

InDesign CS5.5 loss of connection to readers + not opening properly
PROBLEM 1:
Been having this problem at work for a while and the guy TI must always be able to find a solution.
Our NAS disk seems to have serious problems with InDesign CS5.5 (and sometimes opportunities as well). I'm working on Windows 7. When you look through files (namely, the thumbnails of the images) on our drive NAS while having an InDesign CS5.5 was the file open, we lose connection on all drive the InDesign file and InDesign crashes. Sometimes little matter what drive the InDesign file is on - crashed when using a file on the NAS drive, but especially when we use a file on a separate network drive. More often than otherwise the InDesign file has nothing to with the NAS at all, no linked images or something like that to him. The error message reads:
The network connection has been lost for the file... W:\DESIGN...etc, or the file has been modified by another process.
The details of the NAS disk are:
NAS is a NETGEAR ReadyNAS NVX Pioneer Edition [X-RAID2]
Firmware is RAIDiator 4.2.8
In my view, there must be a particular problem with the NAS drive, however we never seem to lose connection when using other programs Adobe, just InDesign. In saying that, Outlook will sometimes lose connection to I drive our email PST files to sit as well during the same InDesign error.
Anyone has had similar problems or suggestions for what could be the cause?
PROBLEM 2:
We often need several goes to get actually InDesign to open a file correctly. For me, if I click on an InDesign file to open it, InDesign opens and I see that the file is semi there but the work plan everything is gray and I can't click on anything and finally just turns into "NOT RESPONDING" and I have to force quit and restart. Sometimes this happens several times before actually open. It's really frustrating and a huge waste of time!
There are 3 designers in our office and we have all 3 these two problems occur sometimes several times a day.

The error "the network connection has been lost" is actually a function implemented in InDesign by design. It is a protection mechanism that occurs when InDesign cannot write to the file in question for several different reasons. By stopping us do our best to preserve your integrity of files through the restore function. If we don't stop the process you could damage your files with bad writing of data.
