  • BSOD after windows upgrade from Home Premium to Vista Ultimate

    Hello

I have a brand new A200 - TH1 comes with Vista Home Premium installed Edition. I had to install Vista Ultimate to get the job in Sql Server 2005 Reporting SERVICES. Upgrade Windows at all times managed without problems or errors. The problem is that my system gets now BSOD about 20 times a day. Its extremely unstable. I have restored to Home Premium using recovery disks, everything is stable until I apply vista ultimate improvement. I tried the upgrade without having to install any other software, shortly after my system crashes with BSOD 0 x 00008086. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Vista Business Edition would be the surface, but there is no upgrade for this. I am very confused as to why a skeleton of the system from vista home premium to vista ultimate would cause my sysytem so unstable... IF I run the windows upgrade advisor it says the following: (I installed the lastest 4965AGN driver and Bluetooth supplied with the system is the last available (5.0.1023.0)

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Hello Jack

I imagine that you have these problems, because a few months ago, I read an interesting article on this update and it was written on possible problems after the upgrade procedure. I installed a few times Ultimate on my A200 but as new installation.

What you can try is to install the OS by using recovery media, delete all the stuff designed by Toshiba, including all other software like Norton. After doing this upgrade brand.

When the upgrade is complete, install all the stuff of Toshiba order following facilities described in the instructions for Installations. I A200 with Vista Home Premium but I don't have a media Anytime upgrade and cannot test with my Satellite.

  • Qosmio G50-115: how to upgrade from Home Premium to Ultimate

    Dear friends,

I am a teacher in a local college. We decided to buy the Qosmio (device name: G50-115, device number: PQG55E-01J00GEN, product group: QOSMIO) for our Department. We bought two so far for the trial. But my job is now on the sword.

These laptops are pre-intstalled with Vista Home Premium SP1 and we need to upgrade these to Vista Ultimate. We have a DVD of Windows Vista Ultimate, but it's without SP1 on it. When I run and update, it rejects the upgrade because the installed version is newer than the version I have. Microsoft is no help, they said that you bought...

Microsoft advised me to uninstall SP1, but I can't do that because there is no option in Control Panel to do this.

If I install clean I won't lose nice software from Toshiba. I did a recovery disk, but do not think that I will be able to install this software. If I can download all necessary drivers, but I am interested in utilities/software installed at the factory.

Would you please advise me what to do. Y did he we can get all the software of Qosmio on a DVD for instalation.

    Kind regards

    Dr. Sophie

You should try to wake SP1 to the drive ultimate because I think that the problem is due the SP1 is already installed, but not on the final drive.

You can do this with vLite: http://www.vlite.net/.
With this tool, you can create your own with integrated service packs, patches, driver installation disc and more.

Try this, it only takes a few minutes.

  • Re: upgrade from home premium to Ultimate

I bought my laptop with Win Vista Home Premium P300-156. This system will not switch to Ultimate Polish.
What I have to do, with ho I need to contact Toshiba to send me Windows Vista Ultimate?

You can upgrade your operating system, but Toshiba has nothing to do with it. Buy this laptop you bought the license for Vista Home Premium. If you want to have Ultimate you must purchase by Microsoft valid activation key.

  • Upgrade Vista Ultimate dilemma! Accedently, I bought the bad packet.

My intention was to upgrade my Vista Home Premium to vista Ultimate, but I bought the wrong upgrade package (Ulimate Vista update for Vista Business). Is that what I can do to work around this problem?

I did not open the upgrade software. If there is a work around I would like to know about it!

Why is Microsoft doing this so difficult? I have suffered through more than a year of Vista problems as a user. Why don't microsoft bend backwards to help its user base?

I have used all versions of windows since 3.0. I have beta tested 95 for them as well as some of the beginning there products.

N ° you would be forced to sell or return the upgrade. You missed the chance to use the built-in option in Home Premium for an "anytime upgrade".

I have a PC Compaq Presairo Vista Home Edition I bought at Circuit City and want to upgrade to Vista Ultimate.  When I search on the web, I found many Vista Ultimate Upgrade software produced different names at various prices, widely.  I also see a lot of problems cited by those who have tried to level.

My main reason for the upgrade is to install and use Microsoft IIS. I want to do it more quickly and easily as possible.

Microsoft Windows Vista Upgrade 66R-01331 will do?

  • Upgrade Vista Ultimate 64 for Win8

I have a Touchsmart tx2-1025dx running Vista 64 Ultimate.  I'll be able to upgrade to Windows 8?

I ran the Advisor tool last night by Microsoft and apparently my laptop Touchsmart passes the test of upgrade.  The only difference is that I might have to reinstall all my programs/applications after installation.  However, he claims that my personal files will be migrated.

It was run on a portable Touchsmart TX2-1025DX native running Vista Ultimate 64

  • What can I reinstall/upgrade Vista Ultimate OEM 32 bit Vista Ultimate 64-bit using the upgrade CD that I bought?

Please help me with the steps I must follow to upgrade/reinstall my Vista Ultimate OEM 32 bit Vista Ultimate 64-bit.  I bought the upgrade CD, but I keep reading that I can't upgrade, I have to re - install.  How do, or have I just wasted my money?

    Thank you

    David

The two DVD come in the box of Vista Ultimate.  The same upgrade key works for both.  The procedure is to let the 32-bit version on the hard drive for the verification of license and a custom installation will work.  The hardware hash will be the same and the product key is the same for the activation servers to happen anyway as a repair installation.

  • Upgrade from Home Premium to Ultimate

Can anyone help?  I currently have Windows 7 Home Premium with 8 GB memory supplied with the laptop.  I'm going to upgrade the memory of 24GO to develop the use of SharePoint in a VM environment.  If I do an upgrade on the spot without doing a new installation of Windows Ultimate, which will be adequate for Windows to recognize the additional memory?  I know that Home Premium does not recognize 16 GB and that is why I'll go to ultimate.

    Yes.

I know that Home Premium does not recognize 16 GB and that is why I'll go to ultimate.

Alternatively, you could move on to professional. The two Ultimate and
Professional to recognize up to 192 GB.
