I don't know why, but my Tecra M5-133, sound is not working properly.
the speaker make noise so although I have installed the audio driver.

Can anyone help?

Hello

One question; Do you use the operating system of the Toshiba factory image? Otherwise, you should install it! Then check if the same phenomenon occurs on the laptop picked up fresh.

I must say that announce is not very clear, but I'll try my best ;)

I m not sure what could be wrong, but I think you should first of all whether this question is related to the speakers only or to the sound card.
If please connect the headphones and check to see if the same noise through headphones.

If the same noise appears through the helmet that I recommend to remove the old sound driver and install a new version of the Toshiba page.

  • HP DV7-4020sa fan - cleaned noise and still make the noise

    Hello.

I need help with my laptop. It is a DV7-4020sa.

Since I bought the laptop (used) the fan made a horrible squeaky sound. I decided to fix it today so dissambled laptop computer and gave the fan a good clean and also put some wd40 on the axis of the fan.

Unfortunately, after reassembling, the fan still makes noise. It's strange because if I pull the screen/lid slightly towards me, it stops the noise, and also if I apply pressure to the lower part on the base where the fan is located.

Should I buy a new/submitted fan new to replace it, or is there a fix I can apply?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello:

More than likely, the bearings of the fan are in ruins, and the only solution would be to replace the Fan/Heatsink combo.  The fan is not sold separately.

Your model equipped with a discrete video adapter according to the product specification, so you should be the Fan/Heatsink Assembly which, according to the maintenance manual, includes hardware replacement, intended only to computer models with graphical subsystems with discrete memory.  Part # 606575-001 HP.

It's quite expensive at $84.28, but I do not buy a used assembly (if you could find another one) and eventually encounter the same problem on the line.

Sometimes this happens because users simply spray a jet of compressed air into the fan intake and exhaust air vent covers, which is perfectly OK, as long as you place a PIN or something that can get through the protection grid, between two of the fan blades to prevent it from turning.

It is not a contest to see how fast or strong you can do this fan to lament when cleaning, because that's how the bearings get ruined.  They are delicate and only designed to handle a certain RPM range.

One can only imagine how far beyond this tolerance range fan bearings can go, when they are subjected to a jet of compressed air of a jet!

  • How to prevent echo over the noise reduction

I had a dickens of a time trying to find how to reduce the echo that remains after the removal of the background noise. However, I do not give to the top and after playing with some of the settings, I believe that I thought about it! I use Adobe Audition CC (6.0). You'll want to follow the steps below as a means of noise reduction, not after it. So we prevent the echo over the noise removal, do not get rid of it... if that makes sense. Then, start with your original audio with noise, then...

    1. Perform normal selection of background noise and sampling procedures, it (SHIFT + P)
    2. Select all audio data (CTRL + A).
    3. Prepare to apply the noise reduction: Effects > restoration/noise reduction > noise (process) or CTRL + SHIFT + P
    4. In the window that appears, I played a bit with the three parameters (see image below):
      • (85%) noise reduction slider
      • Reduce by slider (approximately 40 dB)
      • In the "Advanced" section (you may need to click on the small triangle/arrow to decompress), the spectral decomposition rate (10%). It is this final setting that makes a HUGE difference!
    5. Put audio on the loop if it is a small clip and click the play button to hear a sample of the noise reduction applied.
    6. Adjust the three above mentioned settings until you get the desired effect.
    7. Click 'apply '.

    I hope that helps!

Can I make a suggestion?  Although you're experiences were useful, trying to find a unique size of the entire solution "one pass" probably doesn't give the best results.  Basically, if you hear NR artifacts (the quality that you are referring to) any point you made too much noise reduction only once.

As a general rule, you're better off doing 3 or 4 passes the very slight noise reduction, entering a new sample of noise each time.  For most 'normal' noise, it can also be very useful to increase the size of the FFT (in the Advanced menu) a parameter preset or so before grabbing each of these sequential noise samples.

  • Classroom in a book - CS4 - Lesson 6 - cannot get rid of the noise

I'm on Lesson 6 version CS4 classroom in a book. I worked on the image with the mother and child, but I can't seem to get rid of the noise in the mountains and the sky. They look very grainy. I've followed all the steps exactly and even went through screen shots to see if any setting have been changed which may not have been mentioned. I compared my version to the version 'End' and they seem very different. The mountains and the look of the sky much better in the "End" version, although the mother and child look more exposed. On mine, the people look much more sharp, but the noise in the mountains is terrible and the sky is also quite grainy.  I redid this part of the lesson about 6 times, four times on my PC and twice on a MAC, but the results are always the same.  The sharpness which lesson you do at the end, while improving certain parts, the granulation in the worst of the sky and the mountains.

This has been very frustrating.  Clearly something more was done with the image of 'End', which was not in the lesson.  Even if people, in my opinion, look better in my finished version, the mountains and the sky look terrible, and the background was the entire point of the lesson. Does anyone have ideas, what has been done to make the smooth background to the image of 'end '?

I dug my copy of PS CS4 classroom in a book and went through the same lesson to see what results I got.  I can confirm that the noise reduction is not optimal.  See the example in the picture 'after ':

Compare with the results of a 3rd party plugin noise reduction (in this case Topaz Denoise) using a standard preset:

This version needs a bit of sharpening is to the people.

In doing this exercise that I was reminded why I dislike the Classroom in a Book series.  It makes you go through the steps like a zombie, tell you what value to enter in each field, but it does not often do the fields. Certainly, as a reader, you are free to experiment, but which do not encourage lessons. And the fact that the results do not always match the book and readers are disappointed when the results do not confirm my opinion that the book is not encourage experimentation.  Perhaps a further reduction of noise was made for each channel in the Advanced setting of section.as described in the box of Lesson 6.

  • Satellite L500 and the noise of the fan

Last week, I bought a new laptop Satellite L 500 with Inter i3 processor, 1 GB, 4 GB of ram ATI graphics card, etc.
Everything is OK in general, however, I think the fan is very noisy.

I used to own a HP Pavilion laptop and could hardly notice the fan while with my new laptop, the noise of the fan is really loud.
Does anyone know if this is normal or if it could be fixed somehow?

I did some internet research for a solution, but I couldn't find anything, and apparently nobody complains noise from the fan on L 500 computers portable so maybe it's only me that have this problem?

    Thank you.

For optimal use for laptop use the balanced power plan. Go to the advanced settings for this plan and energy saving of Toshiba, you can find cooling method.
The level here. I'm sure that notebooks fan will be much quieter than before.

  • Touchscreen and the noise of the fan U920T - 11 c satellite fails sometimes

    Hello

    I just bought the U920T - 11 c a few days ago.
I love him but he some of the questions they put me down and make me want to go back.

The first problem is the loud fan noise that lights up. Is there anyway to turn this off?

Happens about 15 minutes using the web and then turns on and off every 5 minutes. It's really strong and be in the break room, it is noticeable.

Can I do to stop this? I'm only using the web and not running other programs.

I also noticed that the touch screen fails to respond without particular reason. I don't know if there is a trend, but it's frustrating when it stops just for no reason and then sometimes everything works again.

Looking at these forums it seems that it is a common problem with the Toshiba. I have a few days before I can return, so if they are not resolved, I think that I might go just form the Samsun ATIV book 9 Lite instead.

    Thank you

    > Happens about 15 minutes using the web and then turns on and off every 5 minutes. It's really strong and be in the break room, it is noticeable.

I assumed that the noise comes from fans who need to run more quickly if the internal temperature would increase.
What you could do is change cooling performance module in single power management.
You could also decrease the performance of the processor. This would lead to a lower heat dissipation and the fans slow down.

    > Also, I noticed that the touch screen fails to respond without particular reason. I don't know if there is a trend, but it's frustrating when it stops just for no reason and then sometimes everything works again

You could try to calibrate the digitizer
Go to the control panel (Windows key + X-> Control Panel)-> Tablet PC setting.

The first display tab contains options such as configure screen stylus and touchscreen.
Here, you should be able to start the installation program and identify the touchscreen.

The first option must contain 1 internal LCD
At the bottom, you might find button to calibrate and reset the settings for the internal LCD.

But it could also be a hardware malfunction. I can't say for sure why this happens, but perhaps a technician should take a look at the material.

  • How to reduce the noise of the big FAN on Portege M400 with Vista

M400 (vista with newer utilities for electric model) FAN blows very noisy constantly regardless of real need for cooling.

Even with zero responsible jobs, less than 1% (flat curve) of the activity, the processor speed to 50% in the model of power and all power to the minimum settings, FAN does not reduce the speed. After a reboot, for a short time, the noise is bearable, we can conclude that the FAN seems to be capable of low speed.

On all the M400, we, the problem is the same.
How to work with M400 in an environment quiet?

    Hello

Toshiba has designed the special version of the BIOS and it was a long time ago. This version of the BIOS has been designed prior to the launch of Vista, and now we can not say that it is not for Vista.
Of course, it is not for Vista.

In Vista, there is a fairly new situation. At first, I must say that it is well known that Vista uses more resources than Windows XP Home edition. Secondly, you know very well that M400 has a lot of background processes running. If I remember well under Windows XP Home edition, there was between 60 and 70, ongoing process. Can you please tell me how are running processes on your M400 running Vista?

It's really not easy to say what to do. I think that you have two choices: either wait that Toshiba has do something (can take a long time) or try to reduce all the processes running and try to optimize the operating system. I don't think this will help a lot, but you can try.

  • Nice info on the utility fan against the noise of the fan

I wrote a small utility to keep the noise from the fan on my Qosmio in check. Several people have asked for it since so I have talked on forums, I have created an installer for it here:

    http://users.PCNET.ro/SP/Toshiba.html

Four people (including me) use it currently. We are all on Qosmios, but it should work on any Toshiba.

    Hello Alexandru

Thanks for this tip. May be this tool works very well. I him have not tested because my Toshiba laptop works well. In my case, I need not fan 3rd party utilities.
Laptop Toshiba computers are preinstalled with the energy saver, which includes the fan control. In my opinion, it works fine.
    Nevertheless, thanks again.

  • HP Pavilion a1220n Desktop PC fan (FANIN1) making the noise

my desktop HP Pavilion a1220n (FANIN1) exhaust fan making a noise.  start-up noise, RPM fan drops of about 960 (no noise) to 750 (noise).  I guess that the fan will stop at some point soon.

Anyone know the name / plug for this fan, so I can buy a replacement?

I opened the folder and the fan noise starts, I hit the fan and the noise goes away for a few minutes and then go back.  not the best solution.  If the fan stops, and since it is the exhaust fan, can I keep running my PC with the box to open?  Is the fan at the bottom of the case, not the cooling fan in the CPU.  I guess when the case is open, I get a lot of air so that when the fan stops completely, I can always run the PC.

    Sorry for hiking...

The stock rear exhaust fan is a 92mm fan. Part of HP # is 5187-5223. See here

  • How can I filter the noises of thermocouple using a TC-2095 and SCXI - 1102c?

    Hi all

I currently have four TC - 2095 s connected to the SCXI - 1102c inside an SCXI-1001 chassis cards. These thermocouples are floating and I get a good amount of noise (400 Hz 3 phases and same 60 Hz noise) when we turn on some equipment such as fans, and fans. Using this current set up, how can I filter the noise? Or I would need to put in place a new hardware configuration (e.g., the SCXI-1102 cards)?

    Hi RALoo,

The 1102 C has a lowpass filter with a cutoff at 10 kHz frequency, so you will not be able to filter into the material with your current configuration.

Your first option is to use a software filter.  LabVIEW has several functions that do this. More information can be found here: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361J-01/lvanls/filter_vis/

The second option would be to change to SCXI 1102 cards as you suggest.  The low-pass filter of the 1102 was a cut-off adjustable to 2 Hz frequency, which will stop the noise of 400 and 60 Hz don't affect your readings.

  • How to reduce the noise in an acquisition of data USB-6251

    Hello world!!!

I have a few questions about a system that I have developed using a data acquisition OR usb card 6251. The pressure control system.

First of all, the signals are acquired using an Omegadyne pressure transducer. (Typically, the signals are between 0.1 mV and 38 mV, pressure is between 0 to 50 lb/PO2). The transducer is connected to the usb-6251 daq card (I use pinout of the 1 and 2 for the signal acquisition, also, I have a 100 K resistor between pin 2 and 3) and the card is connected directly to the computer. In addition, I have an omega counter, I use it only to see pressure on the screen. But long term, it will be useless.

One of the problems I have found is the noise, the measured voltage values change much. Even if the figures in the player screen do not change so much... (or do not change)
The system should regulate the pressure so if every second it changes a lot, the system did not work properly. How can I make the technical more similar to that of the meter? In the labview program that I use, I use a block 'base DC', he reduced noisy signals a lot, but not enough that experience, I need more stable values.

    Thank you

I don't mean in the /manuals of broaching and do not open .doc from unknown sources files (a chart single .png is fine ;-))

However, I guess you already measured in differential mode and the 100 k is a path for the currents of polarization forever

The reason why your counter is stable can be the fact, that she has a generation to filter low pass (on average) with a big enough constant time.

    First things to do:

You did it that there is a filter anti-aliasing suitable for your sampling rate?

Read the signal on at least 100 ms (120ms in line 60 Hz) possible higher sampling rate and take a look at the signal (and display a chart as a .png or .jpg image)

This will give you an idea how the signal looks the same. Then you can choose a filter according to your system and the signal or other investigations to do not even catch the noise (groundloops, protection...)

You can use an example on the screws or the testpanel to the MAX for this measure.  (Personally, I prefer a similar scope :-))
